The Wellington Apartment Hotel

There was constant noise coming from the pool area up until 1am, even though there was a sign saying the pool closed at 8pm. Nobody was supervising the area & there was no after hours number to call in regards to it.

The room was great. Nice kitchenet , full equiped , nice balcony . A lot of services , transportation . Eassy conection with the airport . There is a Thai restaurant at the lobby . The swiming pool was very nice and clean . The hotel it s 30 minutes walk to South back Brisebane . A great thing to do

The room was very clean, but we had 2 emergency evacuation alarms in the evening, only 1 of which was given an 'all clear'. The bathroom needs an exhaust fan. Parking was easy but getting out of the car park was not - steep driveway out and straight onto the super busy road. I would have loved hand soap in a dispensing bottle - I always feel bad about wasrting bar soap.

Excellent wheelchair accessibility in the entire hotel.

The carpet is ruffled and needs replacing- trip hazard . Otherwise satisfied with the price, service and the fact we had undercover parking was a bonus !

We much liked the recently opened Thai restaurant in the hotel. The swimming pool water was green with algae and not fit for swimming.

The property is well located in Brisbane for access to the city, transport, local shopping and meals. The in-house restaurant offers excellent Thai food for dinner. Parking is available but access to the garage could be made easier.

Liked the good size of the room.Good view of the city. Walkable to pubs and cafes. Didn't like: the bed. It was so uncomfortable. The bathroom needs a renovation, old and dated. And we couldn't use the pool as it was green and not cleaned.

Convenient with kitchenette and free parking, this suited our needs.

Well presented refurbished accommodation. Just requires a little attention to cleaning in the shower with a little mouldiness present. Everything thing else was perfect.

Very clean apartments.

The apartment was as described! The cupboards had food still on one near the sink and there was mould on the spare pillow (presumably as it was kept in a cupboard in the bathroom). The bath/shower had mould in the silicone/shower curtain which was a little off putting but can be fixed pretty easily. Overall was a good apartment complex and room.

The whole place was lovely and clean the reception was great very pleasant stay the room was excellent

Sadly one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. It is in desperate need of some love, dirty walls, broken tiles and rust in the bathroom, carpet that is wrinkled, fridge with rust on the door, rusty room light that doesn’t work. The bed was okay. There is no reception staff on weekends and we couldn’t find staff when we had a big problem Saturday morning. There is a number to call and eventually a young girl appeared, she accompanied us to the basement where she saw our problem. Why you would want to inconvenience someone you have never met I don’t understand but a man in a huge Nissan Navara had parked us in, he had managed to get within three centimetres of the entire length of our car, his wheel turned into ours. We had parked where the manager Peter had indicated so we could charge our car, we had pulled hard up against a pole so we were wedged in. He on the other hand had at one and a half metres on passenger side where he had to exit and enter the car. The young girl knew him and got him down and he very gingerly moved the car. This experience completely ruined our stay, aside from the tired interior of the room to know that this man was there every night stressed us out to know end. So if you own a nice car don’t stay, if you want something that is not old and tired pay a little more and keep looking, I wish we had.

Clean, bed was comfortable and the room was large.

The decor is very dated and needs a refresh. The bathroom floor was not clean, nor was the carpet in the main living area of the apartment. The kitchen was clean and provided everything needed for self-catering. There are no USB ports for charging devices - modernisation required. The swimming pool was excellent!

I like the overall hotel, but when you get the cleaners to clean the room they just tidy up no vacuuming or making beds

The hotel location is good, close to the ferry, and good cafes. It didn't feel very clean,

Dangerous and constant water leaking from air conditioning interior unit, dribbling and/or dripping onto table and then running down the wall and curtains onto a double 240V power outlet, then onto the carpet. The first towel used to soak up the water was already wet when I arrived, so I used a second one and that was soon soaked as well. So I ended up grabbing the aprox 10 litre waste basket and that was 2/3 full by the morning. Plus the furniture and a 2 square metre section of carpet were both totally soaked.. The waste bin would have overflowed, if I hadn’t turned off the AC & even then water was still leaking out, as I’m assuming the AC from the room upstairs was also connected to the same blocked/damaged drainpipe and it was compounding the leaking issue in my room. It was about 10pm when I discovered the problem, so I decided to leave it until the morning to report the leak. They knew about it before I checked in and receptionist wasn’t very receptive about my concerns raised at check out time in the morning. Very sloppy all round!!

Great location, excellent parking and close to most things which is good Brilliant friendly helpful staff but felt rooms and entranceway needs a refresh and definitely noise is an issue. Had everything you need, fair value just old and aged interiors.

We were placed in a conjoined room with only a door separating us from the next room. A chair was awkwardly placed in front of the door. But did nothing to stop the noise coming through with phone calls, snoring, tv etc all clearly heard from the next room. I understand that noise can travel in a hotel but the conjoined nature of this setup made it much louder than one would expect and tolerate. There was no communication about being placed in this room and we did not know the occupants next door. As a result of this there was never a feeling of privacy on our room and we had difficulty sleeping each night if our stay. Outside of this issue there was nothing particularly good or bad. The shower head was a bit small but the hotel overall is quite unremarkable and with less noise would be reasonable for the price.

Bathrooms need an update. Aircon controller didn't work. Rest of the room was neat and very comfortable.

Toilet was dirty when i checked in. Rubbish were not removed. Have double glass doors, i guess to help with noise but was still very noisy on a busy street. I could not sleep.

Bathroom does not have an exhaust fan. Noisy neighbours kept us up till almost 4 a.m.. Rooms had common door where noise came through.

Good property and convenient location but being on the main road does make it noisy at night specially because we had the room with the balcony opening onto Wellington Rd

The apartment is well equipped and comfortable, with hair dryer, iron, and kitchenette. Bed very comfortable. The balcony is spacious and if you’re at the side or back offers great views if the city. Plenty of hot water and a powerful shower. Location is excellent, 800m from Kangaroo Point cliffs, one minute walk from nearest bus stop and five minutes from Mowbray Park ferry stop. Supermarket nearby. There’s no doubt that the apartment is shabby and needs updating but for the price this is an excellent choice for a stay in Brisbane

Husband & I stayed for 4 nights and found the apartment comfortable and clean. We were delighted when the lovely friendly young man on reception, informed us our room was ready for early check in. A little choc bar left on our pillows was a nice touch. Public transport is close by with bus around the corner and ferry a short walk. The one negative was the lighting. The light in the living area which is attached to the fan wasn't working, which also lights up the kitchenette, and the left wall light at the bed didn't work. We are in our late 60's and I found it difficult preparing food due to the dim lighting. I mentioned the lights needing attention in Room 10 to a female receptionist, so hopefully the lighting is fixed for the next guests. Aside from this, we were happy staying at The Wellington. It was our 2nd stay and would happily stay again. Thankyou to reception staff and cleaning lady!

Great place to stay. Everything near by that you could require. Staff were great. My wife unfortunately got a bit sick on our trip and didn't sleep well on the last night there. Staff were wonderful and allowed us a late check out which afforded her a bit more time to rest before such a long drive which we were both really appreciative of.

The hotel is very tired and could use an upgrade, but the room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. A 5-10 minute walk to ferries on the Brisbane River.

People trying to break in from Balcony and door. No staff present in hotell. Very traumatic experience. No communication afterwards from their side about the situation.

Wonderful staff and very clean and tidy room. They even kindly let us check in early! Little bit more road noise than we expected but we live in the country :) Great value for money and very convenient location!

Great location, was easy to find. Wasn’t sure about getting into room as I arrived Sunday afternoon but there was staff member that was friendly and helpful. Room was good size, patio was a bonus

Needs updating Nobody was available when we checked in and having to ring for instructions on how to access the room was frustrating. A phone call or message could have been done earlier

Was so hassle free especially after a long flight and appreciated the service with no delays and key on arrival. So well done and keep up the awesome job. Would definitely be back there again.

Unfortunately the receptionist at the hotel let the stay down. Money was taken from my wrong account and the refund took 2 weeks. I was told it was processed the day after I arrived and 2 weeks later it still hadn’t been following me chasing, the hotel was no proactive. Customer service really lets this hotel down.

The property is a bit older so shower over bath etc. but it was roomy, bed was comfortable, loved the lounge chairs, good sized fridge and nice balcony. It was perfectly located for our visit to the Gabba to watch football. We would definitely stay there again if needed.

Dining options were good within a very short distance. So was the City Cat...... if you are needing to go a show at the Power House in Brisbane, this is a great place to stay. However ..there was no bar or restaurant at the Wellington itself. Room was good, comfort was good, staff were good. Over alI ...I would book again if I needed a place to stay in East Brisbane ✔

Large bed, parking, good sized bathroom and kitchen facilities including fridge and microwave. There’s a Thai restaurant in facility too. the accommodation is perfect to access town whilst representing value for money. I benefited from room at back of premises overlooking the centre of Brisbane. Supermarket and plenty coffee shops within a five minutes walk.

The location was convenient. The restaurant was especially nice. I asked for (and paid for) one of the rollaway beds for my son who was staying one night. It was as hard as concrete. The walls of the room I was in need painting as they had been patched but not finished. There were several tiles missing in the bathroom near the toilet. The staff were very friendly, helpful, nice and accommodating. It was generally quiet apart from the very loud woman upstairs who was obviously under the influence of 'something'. Fortunately, she was there just one night. IF I stayed again, I would likely pack ear plugs. I appreciate the people upstairs probably don't realise how heavy they were walking as well.
