Very comfortable hotel with great breakfast and a nice bar, very well located (for us) next to Deli station and M2 Metro line, allowing easy access to the main areas of interest. Service was always very friendly and efficient.

First, I will talk about the pros.. 1. Comfortable beds and pillows 2. Nice breakfast and restaurant food 3. Nice bar 4. Great ambiance to sit and have drinks or gather with friends 5. Allowed me to check in early 6. Large rooms Cons.. 1. Air conditioning quit cooling after first night 2. Shower has a half door and the water soaks the entire bathroom floor 3. I had the “do not disturb” sign on my door and twice, someone just walked right in without even knocking 4. I was missing a TV remote. Had to call twice to get one brought to me 5. When you go to the breakfast buffet, be careful with the condiment containers and coffee machine. The container for the ketchup violently shot ketchup across and ruined my entire outfit. The ketchup literally shot sideways and ruined my favorite white shirt, pants, and new Italian slips ons (they are made of cloth and are cream colored) The coffee machine also spits coffee sideways too. Just be sure to stand way back. The sugar containers are always jammed and when you try to pour the sugar out, the entire lid falls off and spills the sugar all over the table and floor. I know this sounds petty, but it really ruined my morning because my outfit was not salvageable after the ketchup. They should use different dispensers for the condiments. Other than that, I really loved the hotel. I’d stay again, I would just know to be VERY cautious at breakfast. 😂

I only stayed here one night since I only had 18 hours in the area. Really nice room, small, but nice and new. In fact everything seemed new. I really like the ground floor behind the reception. Amazing restaurant, and bar "The Station". I would like to visit this place again. I don\'t have any idea about the area around the property.

Personal de recepción y el desayuno son los mejores de este hotel, mientras que el servicio de limpieza era lo peor. No es el mejor sitio ni lo más de lujo, y el personal del restaurante necesitan más trato a los clientes, como el señor que estaba recogiendo mi mesa y se le cayó una cuchara sucia encima de mi ropa, la recogió y se fue sin una palabra ni pedir disculpas, dejándome chocado sin palabras!

Do not stay here..! Hotel room is as hot as hell. No AC no fan.. I called reception and asked for them to come turn on the AC, they told me they cannot turn on the building AC because it’s spring and that I should open my windows to sleep..! Response was so crazy I started to think if this was hotel or jail room! ( mind you I just left a previous hotel and I had AC all through ) I couldn’t sleep all night .. second night was hell as I ended up having heat rashes all over my body.! I had to evacuate and booked another hotel entirely. Imagine going for a vacation and coming back with heat rashes . I will never ever stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel during our trip to Budapest and found it to be very conveniently located just a short walk from Fisherman’s Bastion and other main attractions in the Buda side of the city. We were three adults traveling (my daughter, husband and myself), and while the room was spacious enough, the third bed was quite uncomfortable the mattress was hard and made noise every time you moved. Unfortunately, the air conditioning also didn’t work properly, which made the room a bit uncomfortable during the night. On the positive side, breakfast was decent and the hotel facilities overall were clean and well-maintained. If the bed and air conditioning issues were improved, it would definitely be a great place to stay.

The room was small for 2 adult occupants, generally hot as air conditioning not adequate even when window is open. Room light tripped off on 2 separate occasions though staff attended to resolve (never experienced this in hotel accommodation). The lifts were adequate & efficient.

The air conditioning was not good, we were barely feel the AC during the whole staying even though we put the temperature very low. But the good thing is few of the sightseeing places are very close to the hotel, so we could take a walk.

Lovely clean refurbished room which was dark, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was more of an unintended wet room as the size of the shower screen wasn’t adequate for the rainfall shower. There wasn’t a lot in the immediate area and we were initially slightly disappointed but the proximity to the metro station was brilliant and made the wider city accessible. Get a travel card and you can get anywhere. There is also a brilliant prima supermarket just behind the hotel if you need anything. A shortish and steep walk to the castle area - well worth doing at night for amazing views. A very minor thing would be that there wasn’t a single tv channel in English- we like a bit of BBC world but appreciate that we could have asked.

O hotel era localizado perto de estação de metro. O quarto era bom. A equipe da recepção péssima, sem absolutamente nenhuma boa vontade e dissociada do propósito de atender o turista. Café da manhã era bom. Só vale a pena se for levar consideração o custo benefício somado a localização.

Very comfortable hotel with great breakfast and a nice bar, very well located (for us) next to Deli station and M2 Metro line, allowing easy access to the main areas of interest. Service was always very friendly and efficient.

First, I will talk about the pros.. 1. Comfortable beds and pillows 2. Nice breakfast and restaurant food 3. Nice bar 4. Great ambiance to sit and have drinks or gather with friends 5. Allowed me to check in early 6. Large rooms Cons.. 1. Air conditioning quit cooling after first night 2. Shower has a half door and the water soaks the entire bathroom floor 3. I had the “do not disturb” sign on my door and twice, someone just walked right in without even knocking 4. I was missing a TV remote. Had to call twice to get one brought to me 5. When you go to the breakfast buffet, be careful with the condiment containers and coffee machine. The container for the ketchup violently shot ketchup across and ruined my entire outfit. The ketchup literally shot sideways and ruined my favorite white shirt, pants, and new Italian slips ons (they are made of cloth and are cream colored) The coffee machine also spits coffee sideways too. Just be sure to stand way back. The sugar containers are always jammed and when you try to pour the sugar out, the entire lid falls off and spills the sugar all over the table and floor. I know this sounds petty, but it really ruined my morning because my outfit was not salvageable after the ketchup. They should use different dispensers for the condiments. Other than that, I really loved the hotel. I’d stay again, I would just know to be VERY cautious at breakfast. 😂

Personal de recepción y el desayuno son los mejores de este hotel, mientras que el servicio de limpieza era lo peor. We stayed at this hotel during our trip to Budapest and found it to be very conveniently located just a short walk from Fisherman’s Bastion and other main attractions in the Buda side of the city. We were three adults traveling (my daughter, husband and myself), and while the room was spacious enough, the third bed was quite uncomfortable the mattress was hard and made noise every time you moved. Unfortunately, the air conditioning also didn’t work properly, which made the room a bit uncomfortable during the night. On the positive side, breakfast was decent and the hotel facilities overall were clean and well-maintained. If the bed and air conditioning issues were improved, it would definitely be a great place to stay.

Our stay at Mercury was quite nice. We stayed 9 nights and it was convenient and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. “Castle Hill” in the name is misleading - it is not on Castle Hill but it is in the Castle Hill district. You still need to take ground transportation or climb a significant number of stairs. There is no grab bar in the shower and the design of the shower makes it difficult to take a shower without getting water everywhere. The only other feedback is that the staff had some trouble keeping the breakfast buffet stocked. The jam was hit or miss (mostly miss) as was the orange juice.

It's perfectly situated within walking distance of Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church, offering stunning views of Budapest both at sunrise and after dark. The area felt very safe throughout our visit. A 1-hour Danube cruise is an absolute must—try to book around 8:15 to 8:30 PM so you can experience the city’s transformation from dusk to night. The Parliament building looks especially magical when it lights up around 9 PM (timing may vary depending on sunset). For those with a sweet tooth, don’t miss Ruszwurm near Matthias Church—a charming spot with delightful pastries. If you're up for some nightlife, take a stroll along the road by the Parliament where you’ll find plenty of bars for a casual hopping experience. The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is breathtaking when lit up at night, perfect for a scenic walk. While Citadella is currently closed for renovation, hiking up the hill still rewards you with mesmerizing panoramic views of the city—a solid 25-minute uphill walk, and absolutely worth it!

Lovely clean refurbished room which was dark, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was more of an unintended wet room as the size of the shower screen wasn’t adequate for the rainfall shower. There wasn’t a lot in the immediate area and we were initially slightly disappointed but the proximity to the metro station was brilliant and made the wider city accessible. Get a travel card and you can get anywhere. There is also a brilliant prima supermarket just behind the hotel if you need anything. A shortish and steep walk to the castle area - well worth doing at night for amazing views. A very minor thing would be that there wasn’t a single tv channel in English- we like a bit of BBC world but appreciate that we could have asked.

Excellent hotel would definitely stay here again, great location. Only thing I would fault is their breakfast, despite contacting them twice to mention that I'm coeliac and would need separate food away from buffet.
