Old building , minimum equipment but with everything we needed ( elevator but you need to climb around ten stairs to get in or reach your room ) Good breakfast, dinning room if needed. Traditionelle Gastlichkeit in einem Betonbau an einer vielbefahrenen Hauptstraße. Bushaltestelle vor dem Haus mit Abfahrtszeiten alle drei bis fünf Minuten. Das Hotelrestaurant serviert Abendessen nur bis 21 Uhr, doch das Frühstück gibt es bis 10:30 Uhr und ist sehr lobenswert. Ich komme wieder.

Although the building is far from new, room was big and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Laundry facilities definitely a plus. Restaurant at the hotel for dinner was a pleasant surprise - excellent meal and impecable service.

Ich buche bei meinen regelmäßigen Reisen nach Budapest nun immer das Hotel Charles. Ich fühle mich sehr wohl dort. Klimaanlage im Zimmer funktioniert gut und das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut.

Excellent séjour. L’hôtel se trouve à côté de l’arrêt de bus avec plusieurs lignes allant sur le centre de Budapest. L’hôtel propose d’aller nous récupérer à l’aéroport pour 18 euros et idem pour le retour ce qui est un plus en fonction de l’heure d’arrivée et de départ. Il faut juste faire la réservation en amont. Le personnel est à l’écoute et très sympathique. Les chambres sont de vrais petits appartements avec petite cuisine bien équipée (plaque petit frigo placard et vaisselle ) un seul bemol pour nous l’hôtel est sur 2 rues où la circulation ne s’arrête jamais et le bruit se fait ressentir. Prevoir des boules Quies si sommeil léger.

The hotel had a decoration straight out of the 90s. The bed was fairly comfortable. However, when we entered the room, we found the toilet dirty. Although we had paid for breakfast through Hotels.com, the hotel claimed it wasn’t included in our reservation and asked us to pay extra. Even though I contacted Hotels.com and they called the hotel, we were still not given breakfast. It was a complete disgrace. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I would never stay there again and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Room was clean. Cleaned every day while we were out. Small bottles of shower gel and a soap bar were provided in the room. Minibar was well stocked and prices were very reasonable. Only downsides were check-in being a very laborious process and my hotels.com status benefits weren’t honoured by the hotel but other than that it was great. The bus from across the hotel takes you straight into the city centre and taxis are easy and cheap.

My partner and I were impressed by the cleanness of the room and the friendly nature of the staff. Additionally, it was very easy to get to and from the centre of Budapest from the hotel as there is a bus stop right outside. The only critique I can make is that some parts looked like they could use a little TLC, such as the windows and locks that seemed a little fragile. However, we were very happy with our stay!

The front desk staff are amazing. The transportation arrangement the hotel books for guest is also great. The only reason for low rating was the beds were not made everyday. when you are on vacation that is one of the perks you look for. Also the sheets were coming off the mattress showing that the mattress was badly stained. It makes it hard to sleep on as you feel unhygienic. Bus stop is right across the street.

Very big rooms with a small kitchen. Comfortable bed. The hotel is old, but everything is clean. For me thats more important than fancy furniture. Very nice people working in the reception. Not in the citycenter, but the bus stops just outside the door. Plenty of busses that takes you to the city center in just a few minutes (or you can walk). The only negative for me is that there are stairs to the elevator and that you have to shower in a bathtube - not that easy to get out. Would absolutely recomend this hotel

The three room studio was spacious and good enough for our stay. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful, and tried hard to give us information about the hotel and amenities. The room, however, is old and lacking a few essential elements. There were only a few working electrical outlets, so we had to unplug the bedside lamps to charge our phones and plug in the kettle. The kitchen had no outlets, so you couldn’t plug anything in there. Overall, the spaciousness was nice but the hotel is old and shows a lot of west and tear.

I liked the fact that the hotel offers services liked selling transport tickets and airport assistant. The accommodation location was convenient for buses and close to Central. But the hotel is on the main road and can get very noisy from vehicles driving passes. Hotel facilities standard is poor, kitchen utilities were disappointed, kettle faulty, unsturdy pot handle, no chopping aboard, very few items that is usable. Had terrible sleepness nights and bad back due to soft mattresses and awkward, stick out wooden bed frames which caused bruise on my legs. The furnitures in the room were mixed and watched. We had two differences red oak dinning chairs and a very low black coffees table. I did made two requests for exactly what was on the website picture which didn't happen till half durations of our stayed. For windows European/ UK buildings standard regulations testing for safety I believe it is a failed. The windows locks keeps coming loose and two large panels opened inwards. The external windows were never been cleaned and the requested to have its clean was being ignored.

The room I got #89 was a terrible room. Nothing like the photos published by the property. Squeaky doors, no working electrical outlets, you can use either the shower or the sink, because the faucet in the sink is also the shower, which is so weak. The “smart” TV isn’t working. There is a water kettle to in the kitchen area, no coffee or tea or anything, you’d have to buy your own from outside the hotel, and the big joke is that there are ZERO outlets to use, unless you take the kettle to the side of your bed and plug it in there in an unsafe way, is that supposed to be a joke? The faucet in the kitchen sink is broken and the nob comes out when you use, while it clearly shows that it does not belong to the faucet and was done poorly and quickly. Wifi is extremely weak and spotty and I ended up having to purchase data on my phone to use as a hotspot on my laptop so I can get some work done. I am not sure if the room they gave me was just so bad and because they saw 2 Middle Eastern looking men checking-in so they decided to give us their worst room or the entire hotel is like that. In any case, it was a terrible experience.

You couldn’t ask for a better service from the staff they are friendly, very respectful and very well informed! ( Human Maps :) ) Steven, Laos, ( I hope I spelled the name right ) and Dudas Andre ( I think his name is Andre ) to name a few. Bus stops in front of the hotel which is a plus. I would definitely stay there again on my next visit.

It's not a new hotel, nor is it fancy, but the service was excellent and did a lot for us in order the rescue our first day when we arrived very early, already expecting a hard day until check-in. The helpfulness from the lobby guys did so much for us, every night we stayed, so we got 1st class value.

So many good vegetarian options. Very fulfilling. Staff was soooo good, I have stayed in multiple hotels across the world, but staff at Charles Hotel has been exceptional so far. Like I can't express in words how above and beyond they went to take care of me. One of the staff even lent me his phone charger as mine was lost. They also packed me food on my last day (all veg food) as I had an early flight to catch on. Like best best and best.
