Sea World Resort

We really enjoyed staying here. The amenities do need a little love. Example the spa and around it. We were sad to see the little kids water park not opened.

Location and Access to Seaworld is excellent, staff were friendly. The resort is great but the facilities and rooms could do with a refresh, feels a bit dated now. Parking is terrible, if you don't get back in the early afternoon, there is hardly any car parks. Makes going out for night time activities difficult.

Great resort pool for the kids.

Very happy with their services, all staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the noise; not much soundproofing between rooms. Kids loved the waterpark!

Nice and convenient location especially for families. Great pool and easy access to Sea World. Purchase the theme park package if you plan on visiting parks. Only criticism is that pool towels should be by the pool not all the way up with the concierge.

Resort facilities were rather dated. Parking limited. Staff and service were excellent in both hotel and resort restaurants. Pool temperature was warm and relaxing. Lifeguards on duty were extremely attentive and professional.

Location: The resort is conveniently connected to the seaworld theme park, and it's very easy to get in and out. It is a half hour-ish drive to other theme parks, about 10mins to Australia fair mall and Broadwater parklands. Parking was okay for the most part but we were here in the low-period so it'll be chaos when it's busier. Facilities: The water play area was great and a big hit for my two toddlers. I used the gym and the spa which were good but nothing to get excited about. Lots of activities available for children and regular appearances by exciting cartoon friends. Food: The breakfast was lovely, there were plenty of options. We also tried the midwinter Christmas buffet and it was delicious. Unfortunately didn't get around to trying the Japanese, and the pasta restaurant was just okay. Room: just a basic room, nothing to complain about or get excited about. It was clean and comfortable, and we had enough space to spread out. Conclusion: one of the best places we've travelled to specifically for our kids. Will definitely recommend to young families. Every staff member we interacted with was absolutely lovely, helpful and friendly.

This is our third or fourth stay. We. Loved our stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. No issues whatsoever. The resort is really family friendly with few dining options. The buffet restaurant was wonderful with heaps of options for breakfast and dinner. The Italian wasn't authentic Italian but it was ok. The only suggestion is the water slide was too cold for the kids to go on so they chose to stay in the swimming pool. So I REALLY hope that the hotel invest in heating up the water used in the slide and the big bucket area so more kids can use that area. Thanks

Standard room for premium prices. Seaworld has not updated the rooms on the park wing in over 10 years since we last stayed here. Original bathroom from our last stay. Uncomfortable beds and the room wasn't clean. Entertainment was 10/10 for new years eve! The splash park and pool were a hit with our son as was the access to seaworld. Buffet dining was amazing and service was excellent. The room let down seaworld resort.

Beautiful, clean and comfy. Staff were great and rooms were really nice!

The package deal was really worth it. However, the room had cockroaches and the parking was always full. Had to park on the road side.

SeaWorld Resort – Affordable and Convenient, but Lacking Cleanliness We recently stayed at SeaWorld Resort, and overall, we found it to be an okay experience given the affordable price and convenient access to SeaWorld. Our package included theme park entry, which was a great bonus. However, the cleanliness of our room, a Coastal Queen Room, was disappointing. The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned—the towel rack was rusted, and there was quite a bit of mold around the bath and shower area. The floors, including the carpeted areas, were dusty when we arrived. We expected them to be vacuumed during the next day’s housekeeping service, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Given how dirty the floors were upon arrival, it seemed like they hadn’t been vacuumed properly before our stay. Additionally, the fabric chairs in the room were visibly dirty, with multiple stains that appeared to have been there for some time. It was clear they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. While the resort offers good value for money and easy access to SeaWorld, the lack of cleanliness in the room was disappointing. Hopefully, management takes note and improves housekeeping standards.

We stayed for one night in January 2025 in one of the garden rooms. Upon arrival the room was extremely dirty! The floor and carpet weren’t vacuumed, beds were dirty and toilet stunk. Definitely won’t be coming back.

We were informed at the front desk that check-in is guaranteed from 3:00 PM. While we were told the room was ready at 2:57 PM, we were only able to enter the room shortly after 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, as the room had just been cleaned, there was a strong chemical smell that required us to keep the door open and step outside for a while. More concerning was that we found both small and large cockroaches in the bathroom, which was very unsettling. During the night, we experienced constant noise—footsteps, dragging sounds, and construction noise coming from the Sea World side as well as within the resort in the mornings. The lack of soundproofing made it difficult to get proper rest over both nights. Additionally, when I raised these concerns during our stay, I was advised by front desk staff that, since we booked through a third-party platform, we would need to file any formal complaints through them. While I understand the process, I swanted to share this feedback with you directly so you are aware of the issues we encountered.

Room wasn’t cleaned on our second night

Being told had to pay to access Late Checkout even with VIP access. Comfy beds, room wasnt exactly clean when we checked in. Hair everywhere in bathroom and paper on floor. Shower extremely old, shower head rusty and chips/cracks everywhere in basin and bath. USB ports didnt work. Corn kernels left on toilet floor from previous guests.

Breakfast very average. Rooms are newly renovated and comfortable.

Kids loved it, staff were good, rooms need a bit of repair and the water view room had a glimpse of the Broadwater from the balcony only. We paid full rate for a night which wasn’t great value but going on a normal time with plenty of notice wouldn’t be too bad at normal nightly rates

Breakfast is a dog show 25 minute wait. Eggs are packeted eggs. Rubbish selection and is an eating hall for the masses. Pay for barista coffee. Noisy rooms can hear everyone above and across. Rooms outdated. Worst of all the beds are TINY!! Better off buying your theme park package and paying for a decent hotel. Never coming back. Feel more tired than before the holiday!

Not so great, was given premium queen room at the bay wing area with no wifi and broken tv. Location wise it is very convenient and walking distance to seaworld. Great for family with kids

We had a wonderful stay. The only downside was noisy water pipes in the room. I will stay again.

Convenient location that can walk over to sea world (monorail no longer operational so only walk over option) We paid well over $300 a night and was very disappointed that 2 DOUBLE beds were considered reasonable for 4 people... should be for 2 people so uncomfortable for a family of 4. Walls are paper thin and can hear all your neighbours very clearly including ones above. Tiny fridge so a rather expensive option for families as have to eat out all the time. Not enough car parks good luck finding one! Conceirge were great and made it less stressful by them taking our bags to the room so we could roam around looking for a park.

Great property as it offers direct entry to Sea World theme park and the service is friendly and responsive. One improvement would be the bathroom setup—it would’ve been nice to have separate showers rather than bath tub combined.

Place is dated/old

Service Concierge and restaurant are fantastic. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for other staff member around the resort. Room Tired and needs repair Bed you can feel the springs so can be hard to sleep in if you're not used to it Overall a great stay especially if you are visiting the park and other places around it

Extractor fan in bathroom was not very good, ended up with heaps of puddling on the ground from moisture. Having access to the park was awesome, managed to get there 3 different times in 3 days. All in all would definatly stay again

Disappointing was the lack of empathy and care shown during our stay. As a guest with a genuine need, we expected to be heard and supported, not dismissed.

We enjoyed the stay. Nice family- friendly environment. Breastfast buffet was enjoyable. We also went to SeaWorld during our stay. Negatives were we booked two rooms for 8 people and stipulated all the childrens ages (9, 7, 4, 2 & 1) only to not receive a conjoined room. It split the family up and meant carrying sleeping children between rooms. Before entering Sea World, I asked reception if we could please borrow some towels for the kids. Reception said to ask Concierge. At concierge, the staff member said other than paid experiences, there are no water areas at Sea World that would require towels. Then he added there is a splash pad but said the kids "won't get too wet and definitely won't stay wet in this weather". I listened to him .. then later heavily regretted this decision. The splash pad absolutely saturates the kids and so does the pirate ship ride when you first enter the park from the resort. Yes, it was a warm day but it was windy and it is not comfy to sit in wet togs for hours. Also on arrival, I asked to pay for 1pm check-out, the staff member asked if she could use the card on file to charge for that, to which I said yes. The next day, at 11am, my phone rung 3 times back to back in 5mins, while we were watching the dolphin show. It was Sea World Resort ringing to ask if we were coming to check out. The staff from the day before did not process the late check out or leave any notes on file.

Arrived at the property around 230 pm. Check in due at 3pm got room keys around 3 30 pm. Staff, environment and vibe of the resort was perfect only few things needs to be fix was room service furniture found old and rusted apart from that all was good. Special thanks for team expedia who helped us throughout our stay and make sure that we have the wonderful trip. Thanks Jhan from support staff who helped us fix our mistake of not putting our child in booking.

The place is great!! Staff is amazing!!

Another great stay for us. The highlight was the service of staff. This time we needed to reschedule our booking, this was handled with great understanding and managed well. At initial check-in, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who ensured that we felt valued, rather than just another check in a line of many people. Again, when we came back to collect our room keys, the staff member (who was in training) was courteous, professional but again friendly. In the pressure of processing a lot of people checking in and out efficiently and quickly can make positive customer service a challenge. Your staff are to be commended.

The value for money with included breakfast and theme park tickets was great. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Brett the concierge. Also the lady on the breakfast reception from 11th to 14th July was always cheerful.

Receptionists seems inexperienced, no greetings at arrival…no greetings each time I enquire at reception from the 2 young ladies. I’ve been live in SeaWorld resort many times& customer services apparently worsen significantly.

Everything about the hotel was great, except for the lack of compassion shown by the reception staff. My daughter was unwell, and I requested an early check-in so she could rest. While I was told that the room wasn't ready and we were placed on priority, I only received a message at 2:50 PM for a 3:00 PM check-in. Given the size of the hotel, it’s hard to believe that no room could be made available sooner. We had just visited a GP who provided a medical certificate, and we were prepared to show it. While I understand that hotels have policies around check-in times, a little empathy and flexibility in such circumstances would have gone a long way. Thankfully, a family friend nearby allowed my daughter to rest at their place. Unfortunately, due to her condition, she remained uneasy and couldn’t enjoy any of the theme parks during our visit.

Transportation is inconvenient. Amenities are lacking.

The Sea World resort was connected to Sea World so it was so convenient to enter and also the surroundings views were awesome. There is decent water park inside the resort. We loved the morning buffet breakfast. The early check-in provided was wondering gesture. The dinner options is limited so we had to drive 10 mins to Surfer Paradise for more options.

We had a great time and loved the convenience of staying beside the theme park and having a buffet breakfast. All this whilst also being able to see the sunset over water with the Gold Coast lights beneath

We always enjoy our stay at SeaWorld resort. It's in a great location with comfortable, clean rooms and convenient access to the sealife park. Great views across the Broadwater. Food options at the resort are not bad and you work out what's overpriced and what's reasonable to order. Will definitely stay here again.

Great place with kids. Everything in one place to enjoy holiday. Only down side that it is slightly tucked away from everything else and transportation is not great if you dont't have a car.

Longer queues at the cafe for breakfast around 30 mins. Need more staff for service.

Food is not great and very expensive.

Clean, neat and tidy and staff great. Breakfast was disappointing, long queues, broken machinery and long waits for correction of pancake and ice cream machines. Evening dinners were pricey and stone cold on arrival to table.

Nice resort, better than expected. The Japanese restaurant was impressive and the cafe had good coffee and breakfast options and reasonably priced. Yes the walls are a bit thin in the rooms but it’s a family resort, our kids were excited so they were noisy so I can’t complain about our neighbours. We’d stay there again.

Positives: Great onsite eating options. Awesome pool area for kids. Staff generally friendly and very responsive to requests. Theme park entry tickets included in package. Beautiful gardens. Negatives: Toilet continuously running and blocked multiple times. Not very healthy lunch eating options. Seating in buffet/restaurant too close together, so hard to move around.

The room was fine, basic, clean with comfy beds. Pool lounges are old and need replacing. Breakfast had an average wait time to even get a seat of well over one hour but this was not explained on check in. Was told if the best time to eat was 6.30am. Evening food service no better. Ordered take away via the app which said 20mins. was then told 60mins minimum. Lack of staff everywhere.

Obviously a good location to SeaWorld. Staff are friendly but the queues for food and drink at peak times has still not been addressed since the last time we were there.
