Fantastic staff on checkin. Easy parking on location. Short waterside walking into downtown Heidelberg. If you plan shopping or castle tour then it would be more advantageous to drive instead of walking.

Das Hotel ist zwar alt und braucht eine Renovierung, jedoch sauber & mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen 😊wir wollten eigentlich irgendwo schwimmen gehen und dachten warum nicht schwimmen mit übernachten und frühstücken/ Pool war sauber und schön, genau richtig! Das Frühstück war auch gut , was will man mehr. Wir kommen wieder, auch wenn wir nur 50km entfernt leben. Dankeschön für das Upgrade auf Flussseite , wir haben es genossen!

We loved everything about this property. The staff were all so kind every time we approached them. They never seemed bothered & always seemed sincerely interested in helping you. It’s also very helpful that they spoke English. The property is a bit of a walk, but definitely walkable to old town & the zoo if you have kids. If you prefer not to walk there is always a taxi or Uber sitting in front of the hotel waiting to go. The ride is very short & cheap to old town. You can also find Uber lime scooters out front to rent, too. The resturant inside is great! We had all 3 meals there & food was great for all. Servers were all fantastic, as well. Bottled Water needed in your room…no problem, they will bring it up to you. Need a charger or adapter…no problem, you can get one there, too. ATM in hotel is very convenient. They have everything you need. It’s very safe. You must have a keycard to get in the elevator to any floor beyond the lobby. Parking is available on site for a fee. The pool was great, although not heated, but it is indoors. The room was beautiful. Has alot of charm to it. Some would say it could use some updating, but if you like charm you will love it. We would definitely recommend staying here & will return.

Vi havde bestil et værelse med balkon. Det kan vi fraråde, det er ikke pengene værd, da det er meget lille og udsynet derfra er ellendigt. Desuden havde vores forgængere brugt det som rygested. Der lå masser af cigaretskodder på balkonnen, som tuydeligt ikke var rengjort. Foran vores værelse stod desuden porcelæn med gammel mad og et glas fyldt med cigaretskodder. Værelset lugtede af røg. Efter lidt snak fik vi tilbudt et andet værelse (det eneste der var tilbage på hotellet), med udsigt til floden men uden balkon. Vi skulle selv spørge om prisforskellen mellem værelse med og uden balkon ved udchekning. Det var meget bøvlet, men det endte med at vi fik tilbudt "gratis" parkering, svarende til 25€/døgn. Det nye værelse var bedre, men hotellet er brugt og trænger til en opgradering. Det lever ikke op til den standard vi ellers har oplevet hos Marriott. Morgenbuffeten havde et meget stort udvalg, men kvaliteten af fødevarene var ikke imponerende. Det kan købes i "discountbutikken" på hjørnet. Helt klart det dårligste morgenmad på de 6 hoteller vi har besøgt på vores sommerferie. Hotellet ligger 20 fra bymidten og gåturen er langs en trafikeret vej. Langs floden deler man "fortovet" med en cykelsti, ikke særligt afslappende. Der er dog en bus/sporvogn 5 min gang fra hotellet. Afstanden kunne man sagtens leve med, hvis hotellet havde haft en bedre standard. Alt i alt vil vi ikke anbefale dette hotel. Der kan findes bedre hoteller til denne pris.

2 comfortable nights stay. Wait to check in on arrival as only one person on the desk who however was pleasant, helpful and informative. Room facilities good other than absence of a safe. Excellent service at dinner where menus adequate and food well presented and tasty.

Hotel bar and overall customer service were fabulous. However, their key system crashed so we spent almost an hour sitting on the floor outside our room while the manager went floor by floor letter people in at 0100. They did not provide any kind of discount for the inconvenience. In the morning, it did not feel like they were prepared for the sheer number of guests that wanted breakfast (holiday morning) and the process was a little chaotic. Food was great. Not a very relaxing stay overall.

Pænt og velholdt, lidt gammeldags indretning. Super dejlig og rolig placering med terrasse lige ned til floden med mulighed for at tage "flod-bussen" ind til Altstadt. I loved everything about this hotel except the Hamburger! Location is great, staff are fantastic, amazing breakfast, and nice pool! However, we enjoyed the location so much that we decided to stay for lunch even after checking out and the hamburger I ordered wasn't good at all, could not eat it. When we mentioned that to the waitress (she saw it was not eaten) there was no reaction -- no apology and we still had to pay 21 euros for it. Too bad.

Overall pleasant stay, but property is a bit dated now and in need of an overhaul. Room was comfortable, but some wear & tear in bathroom. Great staff, food was good at breakfast, OK at dinner (as a vegetarian, limited options). So, good price, good location. Would stay there again.

Old property, needs a major refresh. Breakfast buffet is barely marginal. Hot items were at best lukewarm.had to wait for ~15 minutes to get the potatoes and finally when they arrivef, they were absolutely cold. had requested early check-in, butvwerevasked to waitfor two gours beforewe could get into our room. Does not live upto the Marriott brand name.
