Francisco I Boutique earns strong praise for its central, walkable location near Sol and Plaza Mayor, consistently kind staff, and an excellent, varied breakfast, while reviews also note occasional street or internal noise, and some room design and temperature-control drawbacks.

Great location for walking to popular tourist sites. Wonderful breakfast. Staff very helpful with my food allergies the first time I ate breakfast. (We spent 5 nights) Clean room. Enough room to move around. I missed not having washcloths, but this is not common in Spain. I also prefer bar soap to body wash on my face due to fragrances, but I had no issues with my skin.

We stayed at Francisco Hotel because it had a great location within walking distance to most attractions. However there was no visible sign outside the hotel so we walked right past. Staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was awesome with great variety of foods. The decor of the hotel was also very nice and pretty. My only complaint is that the room was a little too small and had a poorly configured closet made of glass which had very limited space for hanging clothes and putting shoes inside. The bathroom had a wonderful shower and vanity, but limited space to put your things. It would have been nicer if they had put in a corner shelf for towel storage so clients could put their toiletries under the sink on the lower shelf. We managed, but it was uncomfortable to get our clothes out of our luggage due to lack of storage. The bed and pillows were comfortable and there was a nice fan in the ceiling to provide air movement all night. Not sure I would stay here again due to the poor closet design.

Had a five night stay in this first class hotel and couldn’t fault it in any way. The very best central location and didn’t hear any noise at all from outside. Our room was spacious and beds very comfortable with superb air conditioning and a very large fan over the bed which was a great extra although the air conditioning was totally sufficient for us. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and a morning check in on anrrival was an added bonus!! The whole poperty was spotlessly clean throughout. It was so pretty inside with the fabulous fresh floral arrangements on each floor as you go up in the glass fronted lift and must be the most photographed hotel from the outside in the whole of the street! The breakfast buffet was to die for with amazing choices and presentation and the breakfast staff were so efficient and helpful. We really couldn’t find a negative thing to say about this hotel. Would definitely stay again and definitely 100% recommend it to anyone thinking about a city break in Madrid 🇪🇸
