No hay ascensor. Lo que no me imaginaba es que las escaleras de acceso estuvieran en mal estado, son peligrosas. No hay aire acondicionado y estando en Madrid, es imprescindible.

La limpieza bien. No tiene ascensor y las escaleras están en bastante mal estado. Cobran 5 euros por dejar la maleta el día de la salida. Se escucha todo en la habitación. En general no me ha gustado.

Getting up the stairs to the top of the building with luggage was pretty bad, no elevator and no help. The room was great and the location very convenient for visiting all the bars and clubs in the area, they are all within 1-2 minutes walking distance.

This was our favorite little hotel/hostel we've stayed in Europe! Ok sized bathroom, comfortable bed, 6th floor up old wooden stairs. But the whole place has a cute, quarky interior. And by far, the cleanest place we've every stayed. The stairs and hallways were mopped every day! Rooms the cleanest, and we had a private bathroom. Great location, so many restaurants in every direction. Highly recommend!!! A+

Fint sted å bo når venner drar på tur og vil ha hvert sitt rom. Og man ikke skal tilbringe mer tid på rommet enn å sove. Det hadde vært fint med et sted å sitte. Det var bare en ventesofa i resepsjonen. Rent og fint, litt rare rom, men helt greie. Skjønte like før vi reiste at det lå i 4. etasje uten heis. Så her trenger man gode ben og ikke for tung koffert. Spansktalende personer i resepsjonen. Vanskelig å kommunisere. Sentralt beliggende, kort vei til det meste. Jeg vil si det er et helt greit pensjonat. Stille og rolig om natten. Alt i alt helt greit sted å bo i sentralt i Madrid.

Shower was tiny and the room had a window that looked out into the hall way … but otherwise accommodations were decent, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for me/my stuff. For being a hostel it was actually a pretty good deal for the price/location. I would book here again.

This is a budget hotel on the fourth floor without an elevator and without airconditioning on a busy street. That aside it's nicely done up with friendly staff and I enjoyed my stay in a room facing the courtyard. Madrid had a rare cold snap in late June so I survived without AC

Ubicación muy buena. Lo malo es que hay que subir como cuatro pisos por escalera y la habitación nuestra, que era cuádruple , era como una guardilla y tenía los techos muy bajos. Nos dimos más de un cabezazo. Pero limpia y con aire acondicionado.

Decent stay for the price. If you’re looking for a budget place to stay while visiting Madrid this is a good option. Hostal is up a few flights of stairs so if you have issues with walking or climbing, may not be the place for you. Place is fairly old and the bathroom seems to be a recent addition, but it is a plus having one vs. sharing one in other sections of the hostal. No AC, but the the overhead fan worked and kept us cool in the heat. Walkable to everything. Overall, not the fanciest place but was a good stay to set base for our trip to Madrid.

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible, suffocating attic room – avoid at all costs! This was genuinely one of the worst hostel experiences I’ve ever had. My room was in the attic, with no reachable or openable windows, and it felt like being trapped in an oven. There was no ventilation, just a weak little fan doing absolutely nothing against the sweltering heat. It was impossible to sleep — I actually told the staff, “You can’t sleep here,” and she just smiled knowingly, like she’d heard it all before and didn’t care. This place is a health hazard in summer. If you’re expecting even basic comfort, do not stay here. The attic rooms should not be rented out to anyone, ever. I left exhausted, angry, and sleep-deprived.

Bedroom very tiny, no air condition, no basic or essential supplies for your stay! I just bring a carryon and backpack and it was so exhausted to get up to the 6 floor! No elevator only Stairs and not even a good condition! Walkable, restaurant, stores at very walkable distances!

Todo muy bien el único inconveniente es que no es para personas con problemas de movilidad porque hay que subir por escaleras 4 pisos. Y un problemilla que tuvimos fue que el recepcionista se había dormido y pues no podíamos pasar ¡Pasamos un susto creyendo que no había nadie, pero se resolvió!!! Y mi reserva era con desayuno y nos dijeron qué no era así. Pero la pasamos bien porque estábamos en el corazón de la ciudad.

We loved how central we were while staying at Hostal Dolcevita. The staff were super friendly, and everything was neat and clean. If you are looking for a budget stay in Madrid (think one step above hostel), you would probably enjoy staying here. Be warned though, you will be climbing quite a few stairs to get there!

On one early morning the lock jammed shut n the only toilets/shower available, with no one inside, and it took time for us to realise that no one was inside; so the facilities were out of use for an hour. However once the reception was staffed the staff sorted out the problem very quickly. Overall this was a very good place to stay, exceptionally convenient, and I would strongly recommend it.

Nothing special. A beautiful old building but not all that well looked after. A most unfriendly welcome, reckoned we were never booked in there & tried to overcharge. We have to go back to N.Z. in Dec & go through BANK STATEMENTS to prove we had paid & bow much. Are you able to check for us & get the refund please? We have always found Expedia great, but certainly not this time. We found much more accom. 5min walk away at half the price . Certainly would Not recommend it to anyone. Alison Woodcock

This is managed by cheapos. The hotel is on the 3d floor ( not good for suitcase traveling). With temperatures hovering between 4 & 8 Celsius, you have to beg for the heat to be turned on. It’s turned on but barely. We wanted to get a room with bathroom but the manager refused to give us credit for a paid-room without bath. In other pay twice! Staff cannot speak English. Common bathroom is for midgets. I would recommend this dump only to those I thoroughly dislike.

Felt like I was in a dorm or staying at a family member’s home. It was cozy and clean. It was a little loud because of the restaurants nearby but wasn’t too bad. Location is perfect!! Would stay here again.

Todo muy bien el único inconveniente es que no es para personas con problemas de movilidad porque hay que subir por escaleras 4 pisos. Y un problemilla que tuvimos fue que el recepcionista se había dormido y pues no podíamos pasar ¡Pasamos un susto creyendo que no había nadie, pero se resolvió!!! Y mi reserva era con desayuno y nos dijeron qué no era así. Pero la pasamos bien porque estábamos en el corazón de la ciudad.

Struttura carina e pulita. Logisticamente perfetta per visitare la città a piedi. La stanza spaziosa è molto pulita. Bagno ampio e confortevole, solo il lavandino un po’ piccolo. Se devo trovare un neo è nella mancanza di colazione, ma sono molte le strutture dello stesso tipo che non la offrono. Insomma la consiglio, ma attenzione se avete problemi di mobilità evitatela in quanto per accedere bisogna salire tre piani a piedi.

They had no water to bathe. No need for air conditioning,we needed heat and there was not any. Very disappointed.
