I arrived too early (9am) and check-in wasn’t until 3pm so I requested for the front desk to keep my luggage while I walked around the city to make the time. They informed me they could give me a better room for €49 extra and right away. I accepted and come to find the room was not a better room than the one I had originally requested. The room and bed were uncomfortable and had no real view except the building in front. The walls were paper-thin where I could hear everything and everyone in the rooms around me and the hall, I felt like having to measure all my steps and noises, and lower volumes of tv/phone so as to not disturb anybody. I drank two 16oz-ish water bottles from the mini bar which they charged me €31 for. The elevator looked terrible and felt unsafe. Finally, at time of check-out they tried to charge me for the supposed upgraded room again. I had to show them the charge to my credit card for them to not charge me a second time. Will not be going back.

Lovely property with great staff, excellent location, and spacious rooms with lots of light. Terrace rooms are wonderful. Only complaint is bathroom floor and sink could have been a bit cleaner, there were no slippers as mentioned in the hotel description, and the shower needed some TLC as it leaked out onto the floor where it was probably missing some additional silicone. Wonderful experience and we enjoyed the well priced and delicious new restaurant under the hotel! Will recommend to friends and will certainly be back! Best priced room in the neighborhood for its size and location!

the hotel is perfectly situated in the Serrano area, close to metro's, the retiro, and dozens of good hotels and bars. The room was very clean, check in was easy and they let me in a few hours before which was great as I had flown overseas and I had a meeting with clients. I did not try the restaurant or other amenities but I liked the hotel.

Excellent location, in the heart of Salamanca. The hotel is very noice, windows don't lock the sound of cars driving by and the the noice from the floor above was very disturbing, I stayed on the first floor and could not sleep well.

Disappointed with the experience. Used to stay here all the time (over 4 previous times) but now very different. - Some days it was over 70 degrees outside but the hotel refused to turn on the AC, claiming that it was still April. They had us open the windows which only open a few inches and there is way too much street noise to be able to sleep with these open. At $280 a night, one would expect at least AC. - Had to move rooms, as top corner rooms in the front of the property lack adequate WIFI signal. - Property is in urgent need of a remodel. Even the newer rooms with a view were we stayed are older. Bathroom was visibly aged. - Mattresses (on the three rooms we stayed at) were very hard and uncomfortable.

The hotel is great, and the staff specially Joel is excellent. Joel helped us in everything we asked him, even things that did not have to do at all with the Hotel. We appreciate Joel's assistance a lot. The only negative aspect was the room size, 213 is a extremely small room, I would not stay in that room again. Location is great.

Very disappointing experience. Used to stay here at least twice a year due to its location and affordability. While the location is still the same everything else has drastically gotten worse. It is definitely not worth what they are charging now (2025). The hotel is run-down, even the newer rooms with a "view" are old to the point that the toilet seat on two of the rooms we stayed at were chipped in multiple spots. If you get a corner room, you will most likely not get enough wifi signal (which happened to us). They refused to turn on the AC even though it was very hot claiming that it wasn't the date yet. (We stayed in April). What kind of hotel refuses to turn on the AC? They recommended we open the windows, which we did but the opening is only a few inches. To finalize the experience, we had to catch a train and leave our luggage in their storage for the weekend as we were coming back to the hotel for a second stay. The front desk lady said that we could only leave one suitcase due to space limitations. (They had never told us this the previous 4 times we stayed with them). We almost missed our train due to this. Overall, very disappointing experience!

Staff extremely friendly and going put of their way to help us and make us comfortable. I traveled with my dog and the service was outstanding. The room was very comfortable I will definitely choose this hotel for my next visit.
