I really liked the room as it was very clean and well decorated. I was impressed how friendly the staff were and the breakfast was really good.

Dated hotel and room. We stayed in a family studio which had no hot water which was a nice surprise at 6 in the morning.

I've stayed in other Mercure hotels and they have been wonderful. Unfortunately Great Danes was tired and in need of an update. Carpets in stairs and hallways need a deep clean or replacing, lots of marks on them. We stayed in a family room, beds were clean but carpets were marked, bathroom was small and in need of an update. Bath filled with water and didn't drain properly when showering. No mini fridge or aircon, hotel did provide a fan in the room but we also bought our own which was needed. It was hot and the room was stifling, especially when trying to get ready for a wedding on the Saturday. We arrived at the hotel about 6pm and stayed on the third floor there was a breakfast tray on the floor outside a room with food on it that looked like it had been there a while. When I went back up to the room at 11:30pm it was still outside the room so I asked reception to have it collected. Also, there seemed to be a wasp nest outside the open window next to the lift on third floor and a hole in the ceiling. Had a meal in the bar on Friday evening, staff worked really hard as it was busy and there was also an event on in the hotel. Food was ok, Breakfast was nice. We had booked to stay for 2 nights but the room was so hot and small we only stayed one night.
