The Imperial hotel in the centre of New Delhi is an amazing place to stay at. It has fantastic facilities for business and recreational travellers and exceptional customer service. Some examples include the wonderful breakfast box for our day trip to the Taj Mahal and the chasing down our delayed/lost luggage with India Airlines

Da das Zimmer in der ersten Nacht zu lärmig war (dünne Tür zum Nachbarzimmer, in dem der TV sehr laut lief), verlangten wir ein anderes Zimmer, ein Wunsch, der sogleich erfüllt wurde. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Alles ist tip top, es wird überall geputzt, repariert und gemalt. Der Spa-Bereich ist super, die ayurvedische Massage ist sehr zu empfehlen (nicht gerade billig). Der Masseur (Aspin ?) war hervorragend. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Eine erholsame Insel im hektischen New Delhi!

Great hotel Service friendly and of a high standard Really enjoyed pool area even though weather a little chilly. Pool was heated though. Good gym. Only tried one restaurant which was excellent as was the breakfast buffet. The promised one way airport complimentary transport was also ready and waiting.

The hotel was just stunning, very clean, feels like you’re in a rainforest retreat just moments away from the hustle of New Delhi. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always making sure our needs were met and greeting us at every opportunity. The restaurants were also great - breakfast buffet is completely safe and delicious. Overall I would say this is incredible value for money and one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Obviously things at the hotel are “expensive” for being in New Delhi, but we were happy to pay the premium to ensure good quality food and service. Enjoyed a free yoga class which they host daily, and comfortable pool beds.

The Imperial is considered the grand dame of Indian hotels, and our expectations were high. The property, the entrance and greeting, the lobby and common areas were all spectacular. The Hardinge and Patiala Peg bars make you feel like you were in London. Everything before you get to your room is spectacular. Our room, however, was quite average. During our two day stay, our air conditioning only worked sporadically. The shower seal wasn't working and water leaked out onto the bathroom floor. The television wasn't connected well, and wobbled as though it would fall over. And we found the service at the Imperial wanting. We traveled India for two weeks and stayed at several top properties. And the Imperial's service was the worst. The concierge and front desk staff behaved as though you were inconveniencing them, and the pushed you to use their hotel car when a tax is a fraction of the cost. I'm sure there are other rooms in the hotel that would be better, and perhaps we caught the staff on an impatient day. But our experience at the Imperial was all surface wow, and underneath "meh."

It's a beautiful property, very classis and elegant. Staff was courteous and hospitable. The only thing that didn't work out was out bathroom tub. There was continuous blockage even after they sent the plumber to repair.

Incredible attentive staff the place it’s sparkling clean beautiful details you feel the care of people working there . Not that many hotels I have visited are at that level. Booked 2 rooms on the day our flight arrived, so checked in around 3 am. Found out both rooms were separated and on different floors. Could not change this. Toilet did not fully flush and tub did not drain in one room, did not notice this until morning when it was already time to check out. Second time we checked in the hotel room was quite spacious and nice. Weird smell was in the room, but improved with an air filter. The restaurants are great, the staff is eager to help, decor and location is amazing. Our stay was short and minor problems I am confident would have been addressed had we stayed longer. Breakfast buffet is fantastic.

Check in was good. Except the hotel added additional credit card charges to the stay and that was then left pending on my account So when I came to pay the final bill which was issued separately, it looked like I’d spent nearly £3000 !!! For a 3 night stay. Consequently my CC refused payment .. it took forever to get it sorted and we then had little time free at the airport Also our room 265 had no natural window Instead it had an internal opening that looked down into the hotel lobby area. The Roman blind needed to stay down the whole time .. very disappointing considering the pretty grounds. Also, when next door used their bathroom there was a continual clanking of pipe works, not good at 5/6am I have evidence of this if the hotel is interested

This is an iconic hotel in the heart of Delhi. The hotel itself is stunning and features surprisingly large, well maintained rooms. As a South Asian American, I didn't love the British imperialism nature of the hotel (artwork, gifts from Kings, etc.), but I understand the importance of recognizing the history of the hotel and the country. The staff was generally friendly, but they were not as openly welcoming as some other places we've stayed - there was always an underlying tone of formality to out interactions. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers or people looking for what India must have felt like under British rule. I would not recommend it for people with small kids or for those looking to experience India the way Indians do. I will note, though, that the location is incredible, and is an easy walk or drive to a lot of shopping and tourist attractions. The food at the hotel is incredible, and the breakfast is still a source of conversation in our home. Overall, it is a great place to stay and I would recommend it.

This is the best hotel ever -anywhere! We are World travelers and are fortunate enough to stay in beautiful properties around the World. This one beats them all! Almost 100 years old, beautifully designed and executed, impeccable service, delicious copious breakfast, comfortable room, mattress, linens, lounge services… the list goes on. I doubt there is another one anywhere.

I had a great stay, everyone there was lovely and the food was great, as well as the location. The room was a bit noisy. I’m not sure if it was above a restaurant or they were doing construction but I enjoyed nonetheless.

Stayed at the Deco suite. Service is hit or miss. Mostly 80% miss. While you can't expect Four Seasons or La Mamounia treatment here, they do fail on many levels including basic ones. This is mostly a reflection on process and training vs. the people. Example 1: Disconnect between front desk and restaurant - timings and reservations. Calling the manager solved the issue. Example 2: Multiple calls to the concierge - transfers and hangups with no callbacks. Emailing management helped resolve the issue. The Imperial is a unique institution, almost a destination rather than a hotel. It is beautiful and its superb art and artifact collection sets it apart from any other hotel we have ever experienced. The Imperial is considered the grand dame of Indian hotels, and our expectations were high. The property, the entrance and greeting, the lobby and common areas were all spectacular. The Hardinge and Patiala Peg bars make you feel like you were in London. Everything before you get to your room is spectacular. Our room, however, was quite average. During our two day stay, our air conditioning only worked sporadically. The shower seal wasn't working and water leaked out onto the bathroom floor. The television wasn't connected well, and wobbled as though it would fall over. And we found the service at the Imperial wanting. We traveled India for two weeks and stayed at several top properties. And the Imperial's service was the worst. The concierge and front desk staff behaved as though you were inconveniencing them, and the pushed you to use their hotel car when a tax is a fraction of the cost. I'm sure there are other rooms in the hotel that would be better, and perhaps we caught the staff on an impatient day. But our experience at the Imperial was all surface wow, and underneath "meh."

We were treated like Royalty here. The customer service at The Imperial is some of the best we have ever experienced! And we have traveled all over the world. I might have even said "the best"! From the moment you arrived, this group took care of us and we checked in very late. From the greeting, the food delivered to our room with a special dining table. It was impeccable service. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend.

A peaceful and gorgeous oasis in the heart of New Delhi. Courteous staff, impeccable service, good food in beautiful settings. Aesthetically pleasing, well-lit and wide marbled corridors with historical artwork/objects and spacious rooms. Perfect central location with access to shopping, restaurants, cultural activities and sight-seeing. The overall experience is unmatched. And that says a lot coming from widely traveled people. This is an iconic hotel in the heart of Delhi. The hotel itself is stunning and features surprisingly large, well maintained rooms. As a South Asian American, I didn't love the British imperialism nature of the hotel (artwork, gifts from Kings, etc.), but I understand the importance of recognizing the history of the hotel and the country. We had 3weeks travelling India & this was our last two nights stay. The most expensive hotel room, but we knew we would be using more of the hotels facilities. However the Italian restaurant was nice service ok but not like other hotels. The spice room was disappointing. All wine choices in both restaurants & both bars the same!!! My breakfast table was dirty this morning.

The Imperial is a beautiful art deco hotel located on a large block of land with a big lawn and a beautiful swimming pool. Unfortunately the air quality in. November was very bad so I chose not to dine outside or use the pool. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and ate dinner at the hotel on 2 nights. The food was fresh and delicious
