Everything about this hotel is excellent; the staff are friendly and efficient, all areas clean and comfortable. We travelled with a wheelchair user, and although the room was perfect for our needs with for instance a full wet room rather than a bath, getting to it was, as is usually the case in hotels, a bit of a trial through heavy fire doors, especially maneuvering suitcases at the same time. The staff are extremely helpful though, and a wheelchair lift is provided to help negotiate the short flight of 3-4 stairs leading from the lobby to the rooms, which made everything as wheelchair friendly as humanly possible. We would recommend this hotel to any wheelchair user, but please either take or ask for help getting to your room!

I have stayed here before and had a better experience last time. On arrival the lady on reception was unfriendly, she didn't even tell me.to register my car on the system. I found out that i needed to do it the following morning. When leaving she was just as unfriendly. The room was not clean. There wer stains on the radiators and a random sweet on the floor. All in all very disappointing!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Positives first – the bed was very comfortable, and the free parking was a definite bonus. However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. On arrival, I found faeces marks in the toilet pan, which I can only assume were left by a previous guest. This was not only unpleasant but also completely unacceptable, especially from a hotel that promotes its “Clean Promise” and claims to uphold high standards of hygiene. I reported the issue to a member of staff, and a young male employee came to my room with a toilet brush to clean it. He was incredibly polite, understanding, and apologetic. I genuinely felt sorry for him having to deal with such a task, but he handled it with professionalism and kindness. He was the only member of staff who really stood out in terms of customer care. I also informed Beth at reception. She apologised and offered me a complimentary soft drink at the bar. While I appreciated the gesture, it felt like a minimal response to a situation that clearly breached the hotel’s own cleanliness standards. There were no further efforts to make amends or follow up. The hotel’s “Clean Promise” was clearly not upheld in this instance, and that’s disappointing. Cleanliness should be a basic standard, not a bonus, and unfortunately, this experience left me questioning the reliability of that promise. Great location to where the wedding we attended was . Pleasant arrival with a easy check in . Room were spacious but did have a smell when first opening door but soon went with windows open . Bonus on hot spell we had A/c . Breakfast was a very good selection of Continental/ fry up . Fresh jucies on offer plus toast and ceral . Would recommend a stay if your around the area

Upon arrival the reception was unattended for about 15 minutes. All the bar staff could say was “oh well someone should be back soon” when she did appear the receptionist had been making up sofa beds in the guest bedrooms. The restaurant experience was dreadful. Clearly short staffed nearly every table around us had to complain about something wrong or missing from their meals. The two staff on hand seemed very stressed. Took an hour to get our food which then came out cold. Extremely small portions too. Didn’t dare try to order dessert for fear of how long that would take. And it was extortionately priced. Very unimpressed as have stayed in Holiday Inns before with much better service. Breakfast was “ok” however the sausages were barely cooked and came out very pale. There was a lack of fried eggs and not a very large selection of continental items. The toaster machine was set too low so ur bread came out barely crisp. Just a very disappointing lack of attentiveness to the quality being given all round tbh.

The staff at this property where really really lovely so genuine and welcoming it really made the overnight stay. Plus the cleanliness of the rooms was too notch and the breakfast was great. Date I say much better than other companies hotels. Service and all the above mentioned where 5 star in our opinion. We are out and taxi service used by the hotel was also brilliant efficient and quick.

Breakfast was awful, they ran out of bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms and beans also mugs. We were in a hurry so couldn’t wait for everything. Then in the car a lady came asking for payment of a dinner that we didn’t have. Obviously someone charged their meal to our room.

Fire alarm going off at 3.15am one morning and 6.40am the next morning was unfortunate. Shame it couldn’t have been rectified after the first occasion. Otherwise a good stay. Breakfast very nice.

Breakfast was alright, needs more options on menu. Like fruits. It’s not hygienically clean that guests touches marmalade jar and then bread so please remove jars and add packs for each individual. Bar prices are too high. 7up bottle costs £2.65.
