We were able to change our rooms without difficulty due to lack of view and it was our Wedding Anniversary. There were a couple of minor issues that were resolved quickly by helpful staff. The room we did get was lovely and clean with an amazing view. We did receive wine and cheese tray when I mentioned it was our anniversary. The hotel is in the midst of construction renovations which makes it difficult to check in and can be noisy during the day. The staff are doing the best they can under the circumstances. The breakfast restaurant, Daly's Express had a large selection of breakfast foods, a wonderful waiter and a lovely view. The hotel is next to shops and easy walking distance to many tourist sites.

I am demanding from hotels.com a refund, paying $2500 for only those four days we stayed that was not worth it because of the construction started at eight in the morning interrupted our sleep habits, the bathtub drain is blocked. We’ve mentioned it to the cleaning lady. She said they will take care of it. They never did., construction everywhere in the lobby and the temporary third-floor lobby on the ground floor everywhere on floor 17 while we stayed the floor 18, we always stayed at this hotel for the last 67 years. We never encountered this horrible experience before in the past was a wonderful place to stay at. I am demanding a refund from your company Hotels.com for the price you charged me,, $2500 was not worth it.

We had requested amenities for 3 adults and we had to follow up with the Concierge - robes for 3 adults, wine glasses, towels, etc. The bed and pillows were not comfortable- the sheets were lacking in comfort. It was a birthday celebration. In May, when we stayed, the room and amenities were excellent. Not so, this time. We have tentatively booked for New Year’s Eve and hope the stay will be better as we were assured st check-out today that it would.
