The beach was wonderful and the hotel has easy access. The amenities were great especially the option of doing your own laundry. This resort is beautiful! The grounds are very well maintained and the staff is exceptional - they are service focused and anybody is able to help with all of your needs. Our room was very clean with amazing views of the beach. There is an adult pool and multiple kid friendly pools. The beach was lovely and also very well maintained. Since it is on the west coast we were able to see some amazing sunsets! There are many different options for food and drinks and everything was reasonably priced. Highly recommend this resort!

Food was outstanding rooms were very neat and clean the pools and grounds were fantastic. Some small picks, would be nice to be able to order food and drinks by the pools. A swim up bar and an adults only pool would make a massive addition to what was a lovely place to stay.

This place was amazing. The breakfast was phenomenal! They were environmentally sustainable by recycling toilet water for irrigation, using glass water bottles...etc. They had high chairs, and booster seats, kids area and water park. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

A beautiful property, great staff and a beachfront that isn’t technically private but feels like it. Over our ten days saw perhaps ten people on it. Some restaurants closed for renovation which we were not notified of when booking. Other than that will stay again. Great staff. Not much to do in walking distance to property but lots within a short drive which was fine. Will be back next year

While the grounds are lovely, room spacious and pools across the resort offer great choice there were some elements that made the stay less than what we had expected. Check in was lengthy and required a room move for part of our family. We were not aware that different room types were in different buildings so even though the booking had same name and we communicated about travelling with family and requesting allocation near the rest of our party> we weren't advised until check in that rooms would be in different buildings. The various opening times of restaurants and pool bars with gaps in food availability especially with young children made it frustrating at times. We only learned a few days in that the bistro was the only place to order between 4h30 and 6h30pm. The beach- while seemingly part of the resort has a charge for beach chairs as it looks to be operated by outside vendors. not a major issue as there are chairs close by on resort grounds grass but just be aware that you need to pay for chairs on the beach itself.

The external parts of the report is fantastic, the pools were amazing as was access to the beach. Sadly our room wasn’t up to scratch. It smelled very damp and musty to the point where I struggled to sleep on the first night. We asked for a room change and one was offered, 4 rooms away and the problem was just as bad. So we decided to stay put. In hindsight I should have asked to be moved again but I wonder if the whole resort has the same issue. We were given a fruit platter as an apology and on checkout, we noticed all rooms near us were being aired and deep cleaned. Phuket was amazing but sadly I won’t return to this resort. It is listed as 5 star but more like a 3 star for the room

Friendly and helpful staff! Room was a good size and nice; the wifi was spotty here and there which meant when trying to watch Netflix/Amazon Prime it would freeze, sometimes frequently. Everything was very damp (bedding, our clothes etc.) - Perhaps due to the time of year we were here? Overall, the property is very nice and clean. Pools were very nice and lots of spots available. Included breakfast buffet was good with lots of options. The one disappointment was the beach with the garbage along the shore and in the water ... it was being cleaned up however it made the experience being on the beach and in the water unpleasant so we did not spend much time there. There are restaurants and shops across street from resort which is nice and you can walk to Kata and Karon depending on how far you're willing to go. But there are taxis and tuk tuks readily available!

Location on Kata Noi made for a relaxing stay. Mostly families, couples and singles, so no loud beach crowd. The beach was powdery white sand, the water inviting with 2 no-boat areas sectioned off for swimmers. Quite an array for the complimentary breakfast. Staff easily assisted with day trips and activities. Housekeeping staff is the best, making sure guests have everything they need. In addition to a gorgeous beach, there are a number of pools. Recommended!

Despite contacting the hotel before hand they were not able to be flexible with my check-in time and made me wait to the exact minute check-in started. There is no way they didn't have at least one room ready and refused to switch my room with another that was already ready. This is a budget hotel behavior. They also restricted the settings of the AC in the hotel room like a low end hotel. The floors in the room were not clean and the breakfast was worse compared to other similar resorts I have stayed at in Phuket.

While the property is pretty, we didn't have a very good experience there. It is very big so there is a distance to walk to places. We were disappointed in that we had booked an ocean front Jr Suite many months ahead but had very little view directly from our room. We had to go to the very side of room or on balcony to get the angle for a side view. I could tell upon arrival in the evening that we weren't looking out to the ocean but when I expressed my disappointment I was just basically told that it was night so of course we couldn't see the ocean but to wait for daylight! We were too tired from fighting their New Year's celebration traffic for 6 hours to do more at this point and they were sold out. The next day they were able to get us a much better view room but it took up quite a bit of our time to get transferred. Although we would have gone to the beautiful beach in front of the resort but there were caution signs about sea lice so we avoided that! Apparently it comes in at times. Unfortunately we did not notice the strong musty odor in this new room due to the air freshener just sprayed by housekeeping. By the time we did we were too unpacked to deal with yet another move so we put up with it. By the time we left things were just damp from all the humidity and many of our things musty smelling. We did not have the mustiness in the first room so not all are like that. The breakfast was very good but open air so had flies. The other restauraunts were not very good.

This property has no idea what is Expedia VIP and will not upgrade you or give you a late checkout. Also there are two very different wings to the hotel, one on the beach and the other across the street from the beach. Expedia customers are sent to the far wing, across the street and don’t have a beach front experience. If you are in this wing, then this hotel is not a good value for money.

We were a family of four with 2 ocean rooms next to each other and had a great stay here. The rooms were large with a huge bed which could be split to make twin beds. A little on the hard side but they put a thin quilt on top to make it softer from the second day. I would say the rooms were dated somewhat and are in need of a refurb but to be honest everything is in the right place and with so much space and the view you forget about the old furniture and bathroom. The pools were great and clean with plenty of loungers available. Bar staff, drinks and food were good - what I would have liked is for the staff to be walking around rather than having always to go to the bar but we were ok with this. The beach is on your doorstep which we loved, very clean and beautiful with security staff on hand at the hotel entrances. The only 2 negatives were that check-in felt rushed and our room at 6.45pm was not ready for about 15 mins. Also the buffet restaurant was not great quality food, breakfast here was not the best with limited veggie options and slow refils. Just fyi we used 'Grab' taxis rather than those from the hotel - these were cheaper but we had to catch them up the road as the hotel / local drivers did not like the grab taxis. Overall an excellent stay but some little things could be improved.

We didn’t love our stay at the Katathani Resort. While the staff were lovely, kind, and always smiling, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The resort’s location is very remote — there’s not much within easy walking distance — and to make matters worse, there was heavy construction right outside the property. Any time we wanted to walk anywhere, we had to pass through huge, muddy construction puddles. It was really unpleasant. Our room smelled musty from the moment we arrived, and the beds were unbelievably hard — the pool loungers were actually softer than the mattress. We spent most of our time at the adult pool, which had several signs asking for quiet and relaxation, but unfortunately this wasn’t enforced. There were groups of young people yelling and playing loudly while staff didn’t intervene at all. After three days, we honestly couldn’t wait to leave. The surrounding Kata/Karon area is similar to other parts of Phuket, so you can easily find a better resort elsewhere and probably enjoy your stay much more.

Efter vores seneste ophold har vi generelt været meget tilfredse med mange aspekter af vores ophold - rengøringen var upåklagelig, servicen var fremragende, personalet var venligt, og vi nød de mange fremragende restauranter samt hotellets ideelle beliggenhed og de dejlige pools. Desværre blev vores positive indtryk overskygget af en udfordring ved vores afrejse. Selvom vi betalte for en 'Late Check-Out', hvilket gav os ekstra 6 timer på vores to værelser, ved poolen og stranden, oplevede vi en uventet forsinkelse, da vi havde aller mest brug for dem, at vi ikke kunne få adgang til værelserne og måtte bruge 45 minutter inden vi fandt ud af, at hotellet ikke havde styr på deres nøgle system og vores forlængelse. De tilbyd en kompensation på 20% som føltes utilstrækkelig i betragtning af den tid og det besvær, det medførte. Denne oplevelse har fået os til at overveje, dette hotel ikke er det rette valg for os i fremtiden, især når vi har brug for fleksibilitet ved sen afrejse.

This is a massive hotel. Although in low season, the breakfast during “high hour” 9.00 was terribly crowded. Variety is amazing. The rooms are spacious but smell moldy. Rooms are clean. Beds are good. Lots of swimming possibilities and kids club. Compared to the Kathathani in Chiang Rai, where they let you feel like home, this hotel lets you feel like a number. If there are no problems they are friendly and helpful, however if there are problems, it is not their problem. Like the washing machines for instance. Both broken during a washing cycle. Had to wait 30 minutes for a technician to come which eventually was not coming because the initial staff didn’t listen and thought we wanted to make use of a broken machine. Then when they came the conclusion was the machine was broken, and we were left with soaking wet and full of soap clothes. No excuse, no apologies, just the 60 baht back and gone was the manager. As if that is what I am waiting for. It is sad this incident reflects over this stay. And compared to their other resort, including the massiveness I would not recommend it.

We chose this hotel to celebrate our 10th year anniversary. There are some pros and cons: Pros: - The beach is beautiful. Hotel has two blocks and one of them has direct access to the beach. - Facilities and opportunities for the children is great. If you have a child, s/he will not be disappointed. Cons: - Room service is terrible. Since we have a baby, we had to order over and over again although it was bad. It was always late. We requested extra bread with the meal and it only came 1/3 times - Hotel looks fine in general but the quailty is not that good. In our anniversary day, when our baby was about to sleep, we had a water leakage problem. My luggage was a mess (see the pictures). The guy came to help but, come on, I plan this vacation months ago, spend money on this and I cannot tolerate such problems. You have to check all these. The repairman dried the leaking water just near a light, with a towel, when electricity was on! I was really scared. Besides, they promised to clean my luggage and give it to me the next day in the morning. But guess what, they didn't. They said the laundry service will bring it at about 4-5pm, the day before my flight when I had to prepare my luggage! I had to argue on the phone and then they bring it in a hour Summary: It was a good vacation overall but I wouldn't choose the same hotel again for sure. There were other similar, better and cheaper hotels around.

I traveled on my own as a women over 55. The resort was lovely. Exactly what l wanted great pools and an ocean right at my feet. Plenty of choice for meals & Happy hour was a great way to finish a day off by sitting and looking out at the ocean each night listening to music from a local singer and there guitar. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They arranged serval tours for me which were excellent. I felt very safe during my stay. My time at the resort was wonderful and l look forward to returning 🌴🍸♥️🌸

I had a fantastic 10 night stay here. The hotel is in a great location right at the beach. It’s quite a quiet and peaceful area of Phuket and just right for some rest and relaxation. You have the choice of beach or pool and it’s a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to nearby Kata which is much busier. The staff are so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I really didn’t want to leave.

The breakfast buffet was amazing! Great stay! Great beach. Wonderful stay. Across the street from the hotel you can find some restaurants a couple shops and massage spas but generally the area is all for this hotel. A more lively area would be up the road at Kata Beach. However it’s a short walk or a short Grab ride. This area is better for kids. The resort has plenty to do and really caters to you if you have kids. They have babysitting service as well.

The hotel is huge, overcrowded, and far from everything. Distances between areas are enormous! It was never mentioned that there are two separate lobbies. I specifically requested two adjoining rooms with a sea view (traveling with my kids, which is very important), yet we were given rooms facing buildings in the second lobby, across the road and far from the sea. The hotel is 1.5 hours from the airport, an hour from the city center, and even within the property, everything is a long walk – the dining hall feels like a trek. The information on the website is extremely misleading, with no hint of this reality. On top of that, all the nearby restaurants belong to the hotel. Very disappointed!

This resort is by far the best resort ive been too. The food is incredible at all the restaurants. The amentities are amazing and will keep you busy. Usually resort food is a miss for me but literally everything was incredible. Staff was amazing, kind and helpful. And overall the resort was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend for all!

The beach was wonderful and the hotel has easy access. The amenities were great especially the option of doing your own laundry. The kid pools and activity centers were fantasy to give our kids options. We will definitely stay here again.

Kathatani Beach Resort and Spa Hotel (1 and 2) covers such a large expanse of beach front that guests have the luxury of just lounging by their many lovely pools with an ocean view or at the actual large expanse of beach itself with an ‘exclusive beach’ feel to it. The hotel itself is clean and lovely—and the breakfast buffet is amazing!

Good location, excellent beach area, which was very clean. Staff were very friendly and is a quiet hotel. Food more expensive and drinks lack alcohol. Buffet options including breakfast on the poor side, far too small for size of hotel. Overall generally good.

Only thing that concerned me was how slippery the tiles were in Seacret Restaurant which was the breakfast area

The breakfast buffet was amazing! Great stay! Great beach. Wonderful stay. Across the street from the hotel you can find some restaurants a couple shops and massage spas but generally the area is all for this hotel. A more lively area would be up the road at Kata Beach. However it’s a short walk or a short Grab ride. This area is better for kids. The resort has plenty to do and really caters to you if you have kids. They have babysitting service as well.

While the grounds are lovely, room spacious and pools across the resort offer great choice there were some elements that made the stay less than what we had expected. Check in was lengthy and required a room move for part of our family. We were not aware that different room types were in different buildings so even though the booking had same name and we communicated about travelling with family and requesting allocation near the rest of our party> we weren't advised until check in that rooms would be in different buildings. The various opening times of restaurants and pool bars with gaps in food availability especially with young children made it frustrating at times. We only learned a few days in that the bistro was the only place to order between 4h30 and 6h30pm. The beach- while seemingly part of the resort has a charge for beach chairs as it looks to be operated by outside vendors. not a major issue as there are chairs close by on resort grounds grass but just be aware that you need to pay for chairs on the beach itself.
