The bedroom was clean the Lenin was clean the mattress was very firm. The bathroom have mold and mildew where the water from the shower spills out because they don't like the shower doors in France.

So disappointed in this hotel. The room was disgusting when I moved in (hairs and dust everywhere), and not once during my stay was the room vacuumed or swept. The staff is non-existent, only available via WhatsApp. There is no luggage storage available on Sundays, which was inconvenient. No lift. Thankfully the room was furnished well and AC strong in the July heat. If you can, I’d find another place!

You get what you pay for! This hotel is no frills and very basic - no front desk and a staff that barely speaks English, but they're very kind and it served it's purpose for our short 2-night stay. Pros: It's easily walkable to the port and there's plenty of public transportation nearby to get you around other parts of the city. Our room was a Double Deluxe and it was HUGE compared to a lot of other "budget" European hotel rooms. The street outside is quiet with very little traffic. The hotel is keyless and you get into the front door and your room with unique codes generated just for your trip and finally, the price can't be beat. Cons: Again, very bare bones. Don't expect luxury service or amenities. While this hotel was definitely recently redone, it seems like it might have been redone somewhat hastily (although nothing that put a damper on our stay!). The street it's on is definitely not the warmest and most welcoming and I probably would have been a little scared to have walked it at night if I had been alone (I'm a 31-year-old, 5'8" very athletically built female). No elevator (not an issue for us but if you have accessibility issues, beware!). Overall, no major complaints but if I ever come to Marseille again, I would probably pick somewhere with a bit more to offer as far as design and amenities go and somewhere on a more well-lit/well-populated street.

Stayed 2 nights

We had a mixed stay over two nights - our second night was lovely and comfortable, first night pretty bad. We arrived late & code didn’t work & the man on the intercom said they didn’t have our booking. We were rescued by lovely people also staying at the hotel and our room code did work thankfully. We had booked a double delux room and the pictures advertised were of an amazing top floor view - we were on the ground floor with no view (and bars on the windows) next to the loud front door. We were quite disappointed by this but the room itself was nice enough (simple but clean). There was a little mishap with laundry stored there for another room but that was quickly picked up by the very lovely and apologetic cleaning lady of the hotel. Our air conditioner however started gushing water so that the floor was completely soaked and we had to put a bucket down - this was very loud and felt unsafe when on and very boiling in room when off so we were struggling to sleep. Next came the constant rotation of guests loudly talking outside and banging of the front door, which peaked at 2:30/3am with some incredibly loud guests who were struggling very loudly with their room code. We didn’t sleep more than 2 hours :( the next day they offered us another room and after said they didn’t have any. However after back and forth with the responsive lady at reception, a nice man came to repair the air con and after it worked fine. The location is very ideal and in the end was nice second day
