The room was very comfortable apart from the lack of control of the room fan. Only lift oprarating was noisy and obviously requires a good service urgently. Bathroom looked a little sad with chips around the plugole in the bath and dark marks on the floor beside the toilet pan.

On first impression, the hotel wasn’t too bad, but…night one we wanted room service but were told there wasn’t anyone to bring it too our room. Even us asking to collect and take it to our room ourselves resulted in head scratching. We also asked where the guest laundry was and were directed to the second floor. On arrival at the laundry we were greeted with an “out of service” sign on the door, which remained for the four days we were there. The fold out child’s bed was made up with bedsheets that appeared used (clean hotel sheets are flat, not crumpled). There was a noise for the entirety of the stay that sounded like masonry drilling into concrete - 24 hrs a day. Coffee/sugar not replenished each day. Cold shower water on the first night. Other than that it was good. The staff were friendly, so that was a positive. The price was cheap for Sydney, I guess you get what you pay for, even out in the suburbs.

All good,shouldn’t be advertising a laundry service where there isn’t one,then try to change extra for an outside service. Aircon vent was filthy and some PowerPoints didn’t work

The property is well located if you are driving. Parking is close but not undercover Rooms are good size but need some tlc A fair bit of walking on site to get anywhere . Not good for elderly . It’s clean tidy spacious and. Ok for a short stop.

Plenty of parking, beautiful suburb and easy walk to the shops with lots of great options for takeaway and eat in dining. Reception was lovely and staff welcoming. Room would be better with a decent clean dust visible, had a musty smell which surprised me as the entry and hallways were lovely. Two lamps not working one was clearly damaged on the cord.. Didn't use any kitchen items provided there was a wine glass clearly not replaced no way to wash I reported to reception. Will ask for a cleaner room next time.

The bed is comfortable. Unfortunately, the cleanliness is not up to standard. Hair on bathroom floor was not vacummed and bathtub drain hole not cleared resulted water unable to run through when taking shower. 😑

Good welcome, quick check-in. Room was average-size, a little dated, but comfortable. Bathroom desperately needs refurbishment. See pics - stains in the tub, cracked soap dish, shower curtain dirty, bath mat broken and covered in mould. The last two points are simple & cheap fixes that would hugely improve the appearance before renovations are undertaken. Pool area pleasant, decent sized pool. Loud pipes, I think maybe someone was filling a bath and it was audible above TV. Also, hairdryer noise was loud, some better sound-proofing internally would be good, but no road noise which was great given the main road nearby. Parking $15/night which was not mentioned anywhere. Did not get to eat in the restaurant. Pleasant service, probably a bit overpriced considering the tired rooms.

Hotel is very tired and rundown inside and out. Outside, grounds in poor condition. Brick paths black in some areas or only partly cleaned. Carpark bitumen has large potholes. Dents, scrapes, and chips in walls and woodwork just left as is. Inside, carpet in hall (level4) looks like original. So thin and worn, is splitting apart at seams. Many stains. Rooms need a major makeover. Carpet old and stained. Unpleasant odour throughout. Aircon control not working. Bathroom basin cracked. Limited powerpoints. Positives: Very quiet. Large carpark (free). Staff friendly and helpful. Not likely to stay there again until has had a full renovation inside and out.

There are few things to fault with the accommodation at this price. Of particular note, room A/C was too clunky and noisy. It can cause a bit of inconvenience if you suffer from chronic sinusitis or have a hard time going to sleep with a constant background humming noise.

The rooms are light and huge which was great but have very little in them, could easily fit microwave, more than one chair, coffee table. parking was free and easy. Location is quiet but there are plenty of good shops and restaurants a short drive away. Would recommend

We had a spacious comfy room and bed ! We al enjoyed breakfast on the premises. However the TV had no access to EPG or ability to change colour or brightness settings - nor did it have subtitles! Also we could not reduce the AC in the room and it was really too hot at 24deg on the night we stayed . These issues were disappointing, however ang staff we encountered were eager and helpful.

The property is well located if you are driving. Parking is close but not undercover Rooms are good size but need some tlc A fair bit of walking on site to get anywhere . Not good for elderly . It’s clean tidy spacious and. Ok for a short stop.

1. Average room, old paintings peeling off canvas. 2. Coming late at night? Entry was nightmare as no one at Front desk, no one answered intercom and no one answered the landline provided. Had to seek help from late night cleaner working inside. 3. Food quality at the restaurant very very average (we only ate Vegetarian, so not sure about other stuff). Requested hot coffee. It was close to luke warm.

Stayed 2 nights. The staff were very helpful. The room was good. The dining option is very poor. There is an Italian restaurant in the hotel and is very expensive. $30.47 for one person for an average breakfast. I paid $25 for 2 people earlier in the week at the Novotel Darling Harbour. The pizza $25 was terrible. Made on what appeared to be store bought pre-made dough which did not rise. Very poor for an Italian Restaurant. $6 for a Coke. The pasta was good but $33 for a plate. No lunch options. There is a Coffee Club across the road for a better breakfast. A 10-minute walk to a shopping village has a lot more food options including a Pizza and pasta place for less $$'s. Plenty of parking.

When I’m having shower, suddenly the hotel staff enter the room without ringing, I was shocked. The staff said he missed to add back two chocolates bars for the mini bar. Totally terrified. And the toilet light flash.

The staff were very helpful with an earlier check in for me. It really helped me a lot with my schedule. My room was extremely comfortable. I only hope that the person who charged breakfast to my room was found! I am very grateful to the check out manager who believed me when I denied ordering breakfast. I will definitely stay again, if required, at Rydges Norwest.

Stayed here recently whilst son was in hospital. Lovely room, large, clean, very comfortable beds. The staff were lovely. Appreciated the on site parking. Reasonably priced too. Only negative was the shower over the bath and the slippery floor tiles. Being on the wrong side of 65 I found climbing out of the bath onto the bath mat a bit challenging as the bath mat slipped away from the bath when I stepped on it. For those more physically challenged this could well be a real problem. I'm not sure how many actually use baths in hotels any more so would love to see baths replaced with larger wall in showers. Other than this, very happy to recommend this for anyone who needs to stay in the Norwest/Bella Vista/Baulkham Hills area.

Needs huge refurbishment. One lift broken, the other old and not far from breaking down. Food at restaurant took an hour to come and then was horrible. Definitely not value for what we paid. Certainly not up the Rydges normal standard. Very disappointing.

Okay for a quick stay, the breakfast is very average. We had to wait 20 mins for staff to refill the buffet as everything on the buffet was empty and staff didn't seem to keep an eye on things till we complained.

Our fellow international travellers In room safe inoperative and unfixable on the day. Some basic mini bar extras were expected and lacking. Even tea/coffee/milk were extreme minimums. No food or room service on a Sunday !!! Decor is a little worn, dated, stale and unchanged since we last stayed 3 years ago !!!

Staff are super friendly and very happy to help. Restaurant is excellent. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The only negative is that things are a bit worn - for example the carpet in our room needs re-stretching as the joins "hump" (minor trip hazard), and there were a few chips in the furniture. But other than that, we really liked our stay and would be more than happy to stay again.
