The Russell Boutique Hotel

Great location for walking around The Rocks area. You can take the train, Light Rail or a ferry from Circular Quay for places further out, like Chinatown, Manly Beach, etc. Res’t & Fortune of War Pub on street level @ hotel. Walk to Opera House, Royal Botanical Gardens, Harbor Bridge. Lots of res’ts, pubs very close by. OPT, 3 for short blocks away for cruisers. We had the Charming Room away from potential noise from front rd.(George St), but we had noise in the small walkway behind the Russell @ nite.

Came to Sydney to see a show, very convenient position. Nice breakfast & bar service ! Nice place

Staff was amazing and friendly. Room were nice size and clean. Breakfast was amazing and finished each night with a cocktail at the bar and also on the rooftop area. Wonderful location and would stay here again.

Lovely historic boutique hotel ideally located in The Rocks neighborhood. Our Room overlooking George Street was spacious & comfortable. At least 3 old townhouses are now connected together with accommodations on the top floors and Bistro 1828 (excellent breakfast) & Fortune of War (Sydney’s oldest pub) on the street level to enjoy tasty food & drinks. We walked our luggage about 2 1/2 easy blocks to Circular Quay to embark on our cruise ship so the hotel location was perfect for that. Also an easy walk to the Opera House, the Explorer Bus, the subway/metro, the tram, many restaurants & the Sydney Harbour Bridge

Room was not vacuumed throughout stay, which was slightly disappointing, as other areas were thoroughly cleaned. Staff were very helpful and courteous.
