The location is good, nice area and walking distance to downtown. The hotel is fine, including the rooms. The disappointment was that it is published in expedia as it has a pool, it is even the first photo you see, but they don't mention that you have to pay an extra fee for every time that you want to use it. Expedia didn't want to refund for those extra fees, they just gave a minor value voucher (not the actual cost for using the pool for the days i stayed) for continuing using their services with an expiration date. So not a honest hotel and not a good service from expedia.

Et greit hotell, men rommene manglet klimaanlegg, noe som var svært ubehagelig i varmen. Vi måtte sove med vinduene åpne, noe som kan være upraktisk for familier med små barn når rommet ligger høyt oppe. Renholdet var ikke helt tilfredsstillende, og håndklærne ble ikke byttet ut av miljøhensyn. Jeg ble ganske skuffet over nettsiden og hotellet. Ved bestilling sto det at hotellet hadde fasiliteter som basseng, spa og treningsrom, men på stedet fikk vi vite at det kostet 15 € per gang å benytte disse. Når det gjaldt frokost, parkering og tidlig/sen utsjekking, var det oppgitt at det kom ekstra kostnader, og siden det ikke stå noe om basseng/ spa/ trening antok vi derfor at dette var inkludert. Vi ble svært skuffet over at disse kostnadene ikke var nevnt noe sted, mens på andre nettstedene jeg sjekket i etterkant hadde oppgitt de ekstra kostnadene tydelig og klar. Ingen ønsket å ta ansvar for situasjonen.

Hotellrommet var fint, var rent og pent, kjøleskap på rommet. Sov med vinduet åpent for å få luft, siden ventilasjonsanlegget ikke tilførte så mye luft. Var litt bråkete ute, men ikke noe problem. Vi bodde i 3 etasje. Fin vei over til spahotellet, der var det basseng, 4 forskjellige badstuer, 4 boblebad man kunne starte når man ønsket. Kostet 15 euro for å komme inn. Kunne leie håndkle for 3 euro. Fint at man kunne kjøpe drikke inne på badeanlegget.

Walking distance to the ferry Terminal and Old City as well as the Rotermanni Quarter. Good breakfast buffet. High fees for use of pool and exercise facilities. Driveway with a huge pothole in front of the front door needs to be repaired asap.

I was misled about the swimming pool. Woke up early and tried to go for the morning swim, then learned that the pool is only available to the spa users and opens rather late at 10AM or so. Not as convenient as usual hotels setup when the pool is part of the hotel facilities and can be used any time by the hotel guests.

The hotel was very clean. The shower in the room was very strong and warm. The beds were comfy. The staff were helpful and we could get into our room early on check in. It's incredibly central with some wonderful restaurants around and only a 5 minute stroll to the old town and short walk to the docks for a day trip to Helsinki. The rooms could get a little warm I guess in the summer months but for the money excellent

Incheckniken gick bra och var inga direkta problem, rummet i sig var bra och stort, men besvikelsen när man kom in i badrummet och det stank mögel var stor. Hon som stod i baren varken log eller pratade med mig när jag beställde, första gången det händer i en bar eller på ett hotell.

I really liked this hotel. The staff were friendly, the location was incredible, the distance to the Old Town is very convenient, and dining and shopping options in the immediate area were frankly incredible. I was very pleasantly and cannot wait to visit again. If I had any minor complaints, I would say the mattress was quite stiff, but honestly, that was it.

Das Beste ist die Lage, sehr nah an dem Hafen von Tallinn und umgeben von sehr guten Bars und Restaurants. Nur 15 Minuten zu Fuß von der Altstadt Negative war nur, mein Zimmer war in der Innenseite, ohne Sicht nach Außen oder die Möglichkeit ein Fenster zu öffnen. So leider nicht geeignet für Asthmatiker oder Frischluft-Fanatiker. Das Hotel hat auch Zimmer mit Sicht nach Außen, muss aber bei der Buchung angefragt werden.

Très bon séjour au Metropol Hôtel, il y a un bon service et les réceptionnistes ont été agréables et arrangeants. Bon emplacement pour aller dans le centre ville ! Cependant, les lits étaient pas très confortables, il faisait très chaud dans la chambre et salle de bain (sans possibilité de modifier la température) et la décoration était vraiment trop simple/fade !

At the check-in blonde haired Jane was very rude and unfriendly. She did what she had to do, but not a single eye contact or small smile, very russian style behave. Estonia is out of customer service people? Also, we came 20 minutes before the check-in time, Jane told that room is not ready, we waited that 20 minutes at the waiting area in front of her, and we were only people there. Exactly at 3pm we went back to her and got the room. Customer service people would have checked the room availability independently and told us when it was ready.

Ich kann dieses Hotel leider überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Das Hotel Metropol Tallinn hat mich in mehreren Punkten enttäuscht. Das Frühstück erinnert eher an eine Bahnhofskantine als an ein Hotel – wenig Auswahl, lieblos präsentiert und qualitativ schwach. Ein angenehmer Start in den Tag sieht wirklich anders aus. Die Betten sind extrem hart, erholsamer Schlaf war dadurch ohnehin schon schwierig. Dazu kommt eine insgesamt magere Zimmerausstattung: sehr schlicht, kaum Extras, alles wirkt eher wie eine günstige Übergangsunterkunft statt wie ein ordentliches Stadthotel. Zwar trat die Ruhestörung „nur“ in einer Nacht auf, aber die hatte es in sich: Der Nachbar war von etwa 4:00 bis 10:00 Uhr morgens so laut, als würde man direkt neben einem DJ-Pult schlafen. Trotz Beschwerde zeigte sich das Hotelpersonal kaum interessiert und reagierte praktisch nicht – an Schlaf war in dieser Nacht überhaupt nicht zu denken. Für den verlangten Preis ist das absolut nicht akzeptabel. In Tallinn gibt es deutlich bessere und gleichzeitig günstigere Hotels. Ich würde hier definitiv nicht noch einmal übernachten.

The staff at the hotel were extremely rude. There was absolutely no customer service, no smiles or thank yous. The room was basic, Super hot, no air. Took a shower in the evening and there was no hot or even warm water. I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage und man ist in wenigen Minuten in der Altstadt. Das Frühstück ist eintönig, jedoch für jeden etwas dabei! Die Zimmer sind sauber aber nicht besonders hochwertig. Die Betten sind sehr unbequem und man wacht jeden Tag mit Rückenschmerzen auf. Im Großen und Ganzen würden wir das Hotel jedoch weiterempfehlen.

The hotel was fine. The breakfast was ok/fine. My husband wanted to swim so he paid extra for spa access and was then told the pool wasn’t for lap swimming. He made it work. Our rooms were advertised as triples, but we were charged extra for the third person (in a triple? Huh?). BUT, hotel was well-located, we walked all over, and the staff was generally nice and helpful.

My stay at Hotel Metropol was alright. Breakfast had a big selection, the meatballs were particularly delicious. The hotel isn’t too far to walk to the medieval old Town, about 10 to 15 minutes walk away. The staff took a while to clean the rooms. I found the room was a bit hot, stuffy and the curtains were hard to close to block out the sun. Hotel Metropol doesn't have the pool access or gym, you need to pay additional amounts to use it. I felt like the hotel was more of a business hotel rather than a boutique tourist hotel.
