Slightly confused breakfast selection. Ordered a full English but most items available at the buffet as well. Asked for baked beans and told none available! Otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Appreciated the fact that there was no extra charge for some of the goodies left in the room, use of bicycles and EV charging. Lovely setting.

We were visiting Legoland and meeting friends and this was a good location. Turned out to be a great location and a great hotel. Staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival and during our 2 night stay. Food was lovely , we had an evening meal and breakfast really good. Lovely hotel lots of amazing rooms to sit in. Bedroom was really nice with a view over the river which was stunning. The outside space was spectacular and we popped over to the 'River House' on the Sunday afternoon where there is a great 'Ibiza Vibe' going on - lovely sushi and pizza available and nice little bars - really buzzing but relaxing. My 9 year old and I loved the pool , so clean and the water was clear and not full of chlorine. Next time we would like to spend more time at the hotel relaxing and riding the complimentary bikes. All in all it is a stunning hotel with a relaxed feel about it. Would definitely recommend it.

Overall, the food was expensive, relative to the quality and options available (ie. Tomato pasta for £17, Cheeseburger & Fries for £22, Very small slice of toast with Avocado for £12.) The buffet was nicely presented, although would suggest more options again (ie. Granola, but no yogurt or fresh fruit to compliment) and I liked that it you could go back and get more food. The rooms were nice, although small changes could make these exceptional (ie. The gym bathrooms have Dyson hairdryers so why not in the bedrooms bathrooms, tv were small relative to the size of the wall and distance from the bed). Separate shower would’ve been nice, given the unnecessary large space in the actual bedroom, although recognise this would require much larger renovation work. The atmosphere in the drinks rooms by the fire was relatively subdued which would’ve been helped by a piano/music that wasn’t playing the same song! Gym was useful, although relatively basic. Same with swimming pool.

The property is lovely and a great stay for the summer. Checkin could have been a bit slicker- I was advised that I could stay to use the facilities past check out - I had to inform the receptionist that there was an event the following day and that I couldn’t stay past 11am. Valet service is available but I wasn’t told about this- again by the receptionist. They need to work on their dinner menu - if u have travelled to get there you want to be able to eat well once you arrive. Toasters and pizza isn’t really what I expected. They seem to focus all their efforts on private events- I was told I had to leave the premises by 11am once I had booked. It doesn’t lend for a relaxing stay with a rush to use the facilities. I paid nearly £500 for the night- it wasn’t a £500 p/night experience. The gym needs work! Too cluttered disorganised. I went to work out but the space put me off - so I gave up. The spa, gym pool area needs developing to match the rest of the property.

Beautiful hotel - the rooms, the main building, the grounds are all lovely. Spa is tired-looking and - in the two days we were there - seemed to be unattended. Dirty towels and paper cups were piled up for 24 hours next to a lounger. Service was slow and some of the staff were dismissive/rude to my wife. Disappointing because the first couple of staff members we met when checking in were great.

Found this on Expedia and glad we did. Not only is it an elegant country house right on the Thames in a well manicured 35 acre park, the touches throughout are well done while keeping the historic architecture in focus. Loved the turntables in the public rooms! I could spin Roxy Music and other choices with an after dinner drink by one of the many working fireplaces. Nice amenities in the rooms, too! We had dinner here 2/3 nights and the breakfast buffet we had on departure day was nice as well. Nice staff. The backstory of the hotel being used for the Hammer Studios classic horror films made it all the more appealing! Definitely would stay again and use the health club, pool, and rent a boat! Close to Windsor for shopping and restaurants yet a world away.

I was returning to the US via Heathrow, and needed a short break before my long flight to LAX. I decided to stay 20 min from the airport in the country. Oakley Court was a great choice. A hotel with character, on the river, with a swimming pool, bikes, boats, a full English breakfast, etc. I rode the hotel along the river 4 miles to Windsor Castle and then back. A great workout before another LONG flight! They took great care of me and helped me with maps to ride to Windsor Castle. A very memorable stay. I'll go back again. Plus, it's Dr Frankenfurter's house!

I stayed for one night in Oakley Court the night before my Investiture at Windsor Castle. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful and the public rooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard in a sort of neo-British country house style. The attention to detail was what you’d expect in a hotel of this calibre with fresh flowers and house plants throughout the hotel – including in the bathroom, which is not something many hotel bathrooms have these days. Breakfast was a buffet affair although there was an a la carte option available too. Other than breakfast, I didn’t dine in the hotel but the bar area, of an evening, was delightful with a gaggle of guests from around the world. All in all, a fitting place to stay for such a special occasion. Highly recommended.

A lovely country house and ex-school converted into a boutique hotel. Grounds and veranda are beautiful and great site on the bank of the river. Friendly staff, generous rooms well appointed with snacks and drinks included. Would happily return.

Very odd experience it was like being in a ghost hotel half the hotel seem to be closed down with the only ones eating dinner conservatory very tired a real shame the amount of plants in the dining areas with no pots cobwebs and looked very unkempt spoilt the ambience of the rooms The dim lighting in the evening made it very difficult to see in certain rooms, especially in the library. The only room really lit up and looked ready for guest was the lounge area. The menu seemed too extravagant for just the two of us dining there and I was uncertain how fresh the food would be knowing that they were catering for minimal guests a lady found out there were less than 10 guests in that night spa facilities very . No guidance on how to use the facilities on where to go or where to get towels from the steam room wasn’t very good and the sauna is neither the sauna seem to be working at home overall very overpriced for the surface we got at this particular time I appreciate it’s out season Therefore the price should reflected the service and amenities available at that time

It was just what I needed, I was there for a few days on my own and felt very comfortable with this. All the food I at was very tasty. The staff were lovely without being pushy. the grounds were well kept and plenty of places to sit outside and relax. It was great to have bikes available to borrow. It was a shame the bus services were not available close by but obviously not the fault of the hotel, the local taxi service was very good though.

We love this place! The staff are super welcoming and attentive - the grounds are gorgeous and the food is delicious. Rooms have everything you could need or want. We’ll be back!

We came back here to celebrate an anniversary having visited 4 years ago! It is still a stunning venue with beautiful grounds. The joint venture with Soho House has uplifted some of the decor etc. but in terms of service it has been a significant decline. On first introduction the staff uniform feels in stark contrast with the style of venue and tone trying to be set and did not say '5 star hotel' more Holiday Inn Express. The room refurbishment is lovely, some art on the the very empty walls would be welcome and a larger TV considering how far it is away would also improve it. Also worth noting, if you're over 5' 10 you won't fit under the shower. The spa wasn't being used by any guests, the pool and hot tub were amazing. The dinner service is again very casual, sit anywhere etc. the staff were nowhere to be seen and when you did find someone they had no clue about the menu itself and considering the prices that's pretty disappointing. The breakfast equally, you have to push to get something a la carte other than the buffet which was enormously overpriced considering what was available. Overall, wonderful being able to revisit, the building is still stunning and the redecoration makes each space of the hotel enjoyable but the service throughout was poor and that is such a big part of the hotel experience.

Great room with view of river. Crews rowing and great chairs to sit by the Thames. Beautiful building with great rooms for dining and hanging out. Didn't get to use the pool/exercise area but it looked nice.

Lord of the Manor feel. Staff excellent. Real fireplaces in sitting room. 5 star quality. The bedrooms in main propert are worth the extra. Breakfast is excellent.

We were visiting Legoland and meeting friends and this was a good location. Turned out to be a great location and a great hotel. Staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival and during our 2 night stay. Food was lovely , we had an evening meal and breakfast really good. Lovely hotel lots of amazing rooms to sit in. Bedroom was really nice with a view over the river which was stunning. The outside space was spectacular and we popped over to the 'River House' on the Sunday afternoon where there is a great 'Ibiza Vibe' going on - lovely sushi and pizza available and nice little bars - really buzzing but relaxing. My 9 year old and I loved the pool , so clean and the water was clear and not full of chlorine. Next time we would like to spend more time at the hotel relaxing and riding the complimentary bikes. All in all it is a stunning hotel with a relaxed feel about it. Would definitely recommend it.

Well, we knew that 'Oakley Court' had served as a location for several horror films - and so we were expecting a 'spooky' stay. And, indeed, it is a 'horror castle'. But inside it is friendly, comfortable and romantic. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms are absolutely fantastic - very luxurious - with marvellous views of gardens and flowers. In the evening we walked across the lawns, past the flowers and trees and sat down in comfortable arm chairs next to the Thames river and watched the wild life, with gin and tonics in our hands - and there were the bats flying around the turrets of the mansion/castle - the only time that 'horror' entered the picture. The rowing boats drifted by as the sun set and we descended into a heavenly atmosphere. Back at the hotel we had dinner - absolutely delicious. Oakle Court is an absolute dream 'hotel' - we will definitely come again and again - and highly recommend Oakley Court as an overnight stay where one can fully relax in a romantic and beautiful atmosphere! In the meantime - our best regards and wishes to the staff for a very enjoyable and romantic time - Larisa & Paul Warren-Smith

Beautiful hotel on a gorgeous 35 acre property. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Courteous and helpful staff. Only 20 minutes drive from Heathrow airport. My wife and I love this hotel and highly recommend it.

We came back here to celebrate an anniversary having visited 4 years ago! It is still a stunning venue with beautiful grounds. The joint venture with Soho House has uplifted some of the decor etc. but in terms of service it has been a significant decline. On first introduction the staff uniform feels in stark contrast with the style of venue and tone trying to be set and did not say '5 star hotel' more Holiday Inn Express. The room refurbishment is lovely, some art on the the very empty walls would be welcome and a larger TV considering how far it is away would also improve it. Also worth noting, if you're over 5' 10 you won't fit under the shower. The spa wasn't being used by any guests, the pool and hot tub were amazing. The dinner service is again very casual, sit anywhere etc. the staff were nowhere to be seen and when you did find someone they had no clue about the menu itself and considering the prices that's pretty disappointing. The breakfast equally, you have to push to get something a la carte other than the buffet which was enormously overpriced considering what was available. Overall, wonderful being able to revisit, the building is still stunning and the redecoration makes each space of the hotel enjoyable but the service throughout was poor and that is such a big part of the hotel experience.

The property is lovely and a great stay for the summer. Checkin could have been a bit slicker- I was advised that I could stay to use the facilities past check out - I had to inform the receptionist that there was an event the following day and that I couldn’t stay past 11am. Valet service is available but I wasn’t told about this- again by the receptionist. They need to work on their dinner menu - if u have travelled to get there you want to be able to eat well once you arrive. Toasters and pizza isn’t really what I expected. They seem to focus all their efforts on private events- I was told I had to leave the premises by 11am once I had booked. It doesn’t lend for a relaxing stay with a rush to use the facilities. I paid nearly £500 for the night- it wasn’t a £500 p/night experience. The gym needs work! Too cluttered disorganised. I went to work out but the space put me off - so I gave up. The spa, gym pool area needs developing to match the rest of the property.

Website doesn't do it justice, fabulous boutique style gorgeous hotel, even on a dull November day, it was lit up with tasteful candles and decor, comfortable nooks to lounge in with real fires and scented diffused throughout. Service was impeccable, amazing cocktails and house menu. Only disappointed to not get access to Riverhouse as was being prepped for Ice Rink/Christmas periodl. Would highly recommend, we will be returning.. also note very dog friendly and super comfy beds with lots of freebie snacks in rooms. Little touches go a long way!

Beautiful hotel - the rooms, the main building, the grounds are all lovely. Spa is tired-looking and - in the two days we were there - seemed to be unattended. Dirty towels and paper cups were piled up for 24 hours next to a lounger. Service was slow and some of the staff were dismissive/rude to my wife. Disappointing because the first couple of staff members we met when checking in were great.

I have high standards and was really very impressed by this hotel. The website doesn't do it justice, It's a stunning property, the decor is warm and cosy. The grounds are beautiful, the Soho house annex is fabulous. I stayed in the main house, enchanting! Did not want to leave and will definitely go back! Amazing location, close to Windsor and 20 mins easy drive to Heathrow.

It was just what I needed, I was there for a few days on my own and felt very comfortable with this. All the food I at was very tasty. The staff were lovely without being pushy. the grounds were well kept and plenty of places to sit outside and relax. It was great to have bikes available to borrow. It was a shame the bus services were not available close by but obviously not the fault of the hotel, the local taxi service was very good though.

The hotel is gorgeous. Located next to the Thames river. Super nice landscaped grounds. We enjoyed the outside bar and seating area. The vibe was great. We will defiantly come back next time we are in Windsor.

Found this on Expedia and glad we did. Not only is it an elegant country house right on the Thames in a well manicured 35 acre park, the touches throughout are well done while keeping the historic architecture in focus. Loved the turntables in the public rooms! I could spin Roxy Music and other choices with an after dinner drink by one of the many working fireplaces. Nice amenities in the rooms, too! We had dinner here 2/3 nights and the breakfast buffet we had on departure day was nice as well. Nice staff. The backstory of the hotel being used for the Hammer Studios classic horror films made it all the more appealing! Definitely would stay again and use the health club, pool, and rent a boat! Close to Windsor for shopping and restaurants yet a world away.

I was returning to the US via Heathrow, and needed a short break before my long flight to LAX. I decided to stay 20 min from the airport in the country. Oakley Court was a great choice. A hotel with character, on the river, with a swimming pool, bikes, boats, a full English breakfast, etc. I rode the hotel along the river 4 miles to Windsor Castle and then back. A great workout before another LONG flight! They took great care of me and helped me with maps to ride to Windsor Castle. A very memorable stay. I'll go back again. Plus, it's Dr Frankenfurter's house!

I stayed for one night in Oakley Court the night before my Investiture at Windsor Castle. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful and the public rooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard in a sort of neo-British country house style. The attention to detail was what you’d expect in a hotel of this calibre with fresh flowers and house plants throughout the hotel – including in the bathroom, which is not something many hotel bathrooms have these days. Breakfast was a buffet affair although there was an a la carte option available too. Other than breakfast, I didn’t dine in the hotel but the bar area, of an evening, was delightful with a gaggle of guests from around the world. All in all, a fitting place to stay for such a special occasion. Highly recommended.

Lots to like at this lovely property; very nice grounds and quaint setting along the Thames. Lots also not to like. Food is wildly overpriced because there are no easy options outside the hotel. The common rooms are really beautiful, but its very difficult to find a room to read that's actually quiet, because they have music playing throughout the facility. They're appealing to a trendy London crowd, and that's fine, but if you just want a quiet place to read and reflect, you can probably do better, and certainly cheaper. If you're young and on trend and want to bring your dog to drink with your family, this is a charming place. If you're old and want peace and quiet and reasonably priced food, not so much.

The dinner service is again very casual, sit anywhere etc. the staff were nowhere to be seen and when you did find someone they had no clue about the menu itself and considering the prices that's pretty disappointing. The breakfast equally, you have to push to get something a la carte other than the buffet which was enormously overpriced considering what was available. Overall, wonderful being able to revisit, the building is still stunning and the redecoration makes each space of the hotel enjoyable but the service throughout was poor and that is such a big part of the hotel experience.

Slightly confused breakfast selection. Ordered a full English but most items available at the buffet as well. Asked for baked beans and told none available! Otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Appreciated the fact that there was no extra charge for some of the goodies left in the room, use of bicycles and EV charging. Lovely setting.

We were visiting Legoland and meeting friends and this was a good location. Turned out to be a great location and a great hotel. Staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival and during our 2 night stay. Food was lovely , we had an evening meal and breakfast really good. Lovely hotel lots of amazing rooms to sit in. Bedroom was really nice with a view over the river which was stunning. The outside space was spectacular and we popped over to the 'River House' on the Sunday afternoon where there is a great 'Ibiza Vibe' going on - lovely sushi and pizza available and nice little bars - really buzzing but relaxing. My 9 year old and I loved the pool , so clean and the water was clear and not full of chlorine. Next time we would like to spend more time at the hotel relaxing and riding the complimentary bikes. All in all it is a stunning hotel with a relaxed feel about it. Would definitely recommend it.

Overall, the food was expensive, relative to the quality and options available (ie. Tomato pasta for £17, Cheeseburger & Fries for £22, Very small slice of toast with Avocado for £12.) The buffet was nicely presented, although would suggest more options again (ie. Granola, but no yogurt or fresh fruit to compliment) and I liked that it you could go back and get more food. The rooms were nice, although small changes could make these exceptional (ie. The gym bathrooms have Dyson hairdryers so why not in the bedrooms bathrooms, tv were small relative to the size of the wall and distance from the bed). Separate shower would’ve been nice, given the unnecessary large space in the actual bedroom, although recognise this would require much larger renovation work. The atmosphere in the drinks rooms by the fire was relatively subdued which would’ve been helped by a piano/music that wasn’t playing the same song! Gym was useful, although relatively basic. Same with swimming pool.

The hotel is gorgeous. Located next to the Thames river. Super nice landscaped grounds. We enjoyed the outside bar and seating area. The vibe was great. We will defiantly come back next time we are in Windsor.

Website doesn't do it justice, fabulous boutique style gorgeous hotel, even on a dull November day, it was lit up with tasteful candles and decor, comfortable nooks to lounge in with real fires and scented diffused throughout. Service was impeccable, amazing cocktails and house menu. Only disappointed to not get access to Riverhouse as was being prepped for Ice Rink/Christmas periodl. Would highly recommend, we will be returning.. also note very dog friendly and super comfy beds with lots of freebie snacks in rooms. Little touches go a long way!

Found this on Expedia and glad we did. Not only is it an elegant country house right on the Thames in a well manicured 35 acre park, the touches throughout are well done while keeping the historic architecture in focus. Loved the turntables in the public rooms! I could spin Roxy Music and other choices with an after dinner drink by one of the many working fireplaces. Nice amenities in the rooms, too! We had dinner here 2/3 nights and the breakfast buffet we had on departure day was nice as well. Nice staff. The backstory of the hotel being used for the Hammer Studios classic horror films made it all the more appealing! Definitely would stay again and use the health club, pool, and rent a boat! Close to Windsor for shopping and restaurants yet a world away.

We booked a 3-night stay at Oakley Court but ended up leaving a day early due to a very disappointing experience.
