The wifi was unusable even google maps was to much for it. The gym has 2 universal machines both broken and only 5kg dumbells. For the price you could simply use an IHG hotel for less money and get more amenities. The breakfast was good and the room was clean if the hotel overall was pretty dated.

The room is nice and the bathroom also. Nice infrastructure. The parking is very steep and relatively expensif (for a hotel parking) and not covered. The breakfast is good but not enough fresh products.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very tired with aircon barely working and very slow wifi. No swimming pool so nowhere to chill out and relax other than lobby or a few chairs outside by the entrance drive. Parking was pricey at €18 a day and the exit ramp is unsuitable for any lowish cars as they will bottom out. Breakfast was ok with a selection of hot and cold choices but not outstanding. Overall ok as close to town and easy road access for travelling around.

I had a great experience. Everything was great, although Iwasnt very happy about loads of people smoking at the entrance not a very good first impression. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to be helpful. It would be fantastic to have a pool somewhere in the structure. I loved the interior design.

Overall it is a good hotel, close to the city centre, but it’s very noise being close to the street and all the cars and motorcycles can be heard. The parking is very small and it requires to leave the keys to the valet so it can be moved around whenever is necessary. Also the parking pricing varies depending on the car size. It starts from 24€ for the subcompact cars. Inside the room, I found the mattress and pillows too hard. Other than that, the breakfast is great. I think this hotel had the best breakfast in Italy during my vacation.

Ausreichendes Frühstücksbuffet. Insgesamt hätte es für diese Kategorie etwas sauberer sein können. Zimmer sind bereits sehr abgewohnt und in die Jahre gekommen. Wir haben im Zimmer nur eine Steckdose gefunden. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bettqualität war in Ordnung. Zur Straße hin ist es etwas lauter. Preis für Parkplatz empfanden wir mit 18€/Tag für zu hoch. Sonst insgesamt gut.

Nedslidt hotel i udkanten af Verona centrum. Vi ankom til hotellet og fik anvist et værelse. Værelset havde mærker på væggen omkring sengen og vi kunne se flere håndaftryk på den nedslidte malling og interiør. Vadeværelset var tydelige spor af problemer med skimmel, som har farvet næsten overalt på fugerne. Hotellets personale var søde at skifte os til et andet værelse, som heldigvis var renere, men skimmelproblemet ser ud til at være gennemgående på alle værelser. Morgenmads buffeten trækker op med godt udvalg og fik service, men samlet set anbefaler vi ikke dette hotel.

4 Star hotel that needs some love. The good: - Spacious room. - Friendly staff. - Good breakfast. - Great AC. - Close to the railway station. The bad: - Mold in the bathroom & unpleasant smell from it. - Might have been a water leak in the room in the past, roof/walls in the room's "hallway" showing signs of it. - Desk was filthy underneath the glass pane. - Curtains were badly stained, lampshades less so but still notisably big stains (saw this on a Google review that was a few months old too from the same room, so clearly not a new thing). Other: - No power outlets near bed (and only found one free outlet), so extension cord might be useful. - Wifi is sub-par at best and could really use some coverage overhaul. - If you're a light sleeper/sensitive to noise (I'm not thankfully) then bring some earplugs in case you get a room facing the busy road outside, as the isolation isn't quite able to handle it. In total it feels like a hotel that's stuck in it's 90's glory days, where relatively minor upgrades of modern comforts and a deep clean (especially of the bathroom) could make for an easy way to bump up the quality once more.

La propiedad requiere mantenimiento. Muebles e instalaciones en mal estado en las habitaciones. El aire acondicinado no servia y botaba agua desde el techo. Lo reporté 3 veces y nunca hicieron algo al respecto.

The outside and the lobby was nice. The shower in our room was disgusting and the drain was not working. The roof in the shower was not sealed. Honestly really gross could not wait to get out of that room. Also very small. Would not recommend

Receptionists were nice and helpful. Hotel is very dated. There was mold in the tub/shower. It was hard to get into the tub/shower because the side was so high. Adapters wouldn’t stay in the outlets because they were so loose. Bed was VERY uncomfortable. Room was very warm by American standards—never got temp below 24.6 degrees Celsius. TWICE employees tried to enter our room unannounced—once to confirm that custodial service had been performed and once to check the a/c. No knocking—just tried to barge in. Breakfast was great—lots of choices. Location is far from main sights in comparison to other hotels. Would not stay here again.

Room was clean and a nice 20 minute easy walk to the arena area. I had booked the “economy” room. This room had no sound proofing whatsoever. I could hear the bustling river all night and every step the neighbors made. I could even hear the vibrating phone alarm from the guest in the next room. The room was also pretty cold. (Roughly 65 degrees F). You had to press the button 3 or 4 times for the toilet to flush. It was clean and the staff were friendly. In my experience here I would have preferred an Ibis. I visit about 1 hotel a week and I will choose elsewhere next time I need to stay in Verona

This hotel was close to the train station and only a short walk to the centre of Verona. The rooms are large and spacious but tired and could do with a make over. Walls had marks on them and the curtains had stains and slight rips on them. The bathroom was clean but again water damage on the bottom of the door was off putting. Apart from that the staff at the hotel were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would stay again due to the location.

Internet was non-existent. You had to stand in the passage to get a connection. Once inside room where was nothing. Even if you sat in the lobby there was only intermittent access. Had better connection in the deserts of Morrocco.

The hotel was located near the main train station, only less than 10 minutes walk, but not that close to the city center, about 20 minutes walk. The classic double room we stayed in was decent sized and clean. However, everything inside the room was a little outdated, including bed sheets and comforter cover which was thin and wear out. The booking site states the room we stayed in is equipped with a 32 inch TV and Down Comforter. But the reality was the room only had a very small TV, less than 20 inch, and a very stiff comforter, definitely not a down comforter. One more thing, the room didn't have tea kettle. When I asked the receptionist if I can borrow one, I was told it cost 10 euro per night. I stayed there for 5 nights. So it would have costed me 50 euro just to use a tea kettle for 5 days. I was speechless.

A great hotel to stay at to explore Verona! An easy 20min walk to the historic centre. The room was incredible, and the shower was really nice as well. My only complaint was that the room Wifi was so poor I couldn't even check emails, so I had to use data during the duration of my stay. Would stay again!

Receptionists were nice and helpful. Hotel is very dated. There was mold in the tub/shower. It was hard to get into the tub/shower because the side was so high. Adapters wouldn’t stay in the outlets because they were so loose. Bed was VERY uncomfortable. Room was very warm by American standards—never got temp below 24.6 degrees Celsius. TWICE employees tried to enter our room unannounced—once to confirm that custodial service had been performed and once to check the a/c. No knocking—just tried to barge in. Breakfast was great—lots of choices. Location is far from main sights in comparison to other hotels. Would not stay here again.

Nice big hotel, close to the main station. Basic room I had was very spacious with good bed and bedding. Large selection at breakfast. Only downside was the room was a connecting room, could hear very clearly the guest next door due to only a normal door separating the rooms, not soundproof at all.

Upon arrival we were faced with a rather brusk and rude front desk clerk named Sara. Very heavy accent and difficult to understand. The lobby itself was dingy and the seating was dirty. Some of the staff seemed as though they didn’t want to be there. The room was adequate in size but the sheets on the bed were too short and uncomfortable. The shower was impossible to switch back and forth from overhead to spray. There was mold in the bathroom and the grout was dirty. Breakfast was ok but charging extra for an omelette was ridiculous. Limited security. Very surprised the back door was always unlocked with no key entry. Overall, very disappointing . Drapes were also dirty. Faucets were leaking. This place needs a major overhaul. We will not return nor recommend. The only positive was the location and the lady at breakfast who was delightful.

The manager, Daniela, displayed unprofessional and discourteous behavior during our stay, which was far from the level of service expected at a four-star hotel. Our checkout time was scheduled for 11:00 AM, and after leaving for breakfast around 9:00 AM, we returned to our room at approximately 10:00 AM, only to find that our key was no longer functioning. A staff member assisted us by calling Daniela to open the door, and we waited for about 30 minutes for her arrival. When Daniela finally arrived, she immediately adopted a hostile and dismissive attitude, raising her voice and stating that she could not open the door, insisting that I go downstairs instead. I explained that if we had been informed of this from the beginning, we would have done so without issue. Ultimately, Daniela did open the door for us after verifying my identity with my ID—proving that a trip to the front desk had not been necessary. I loved the patio area next to the canal and the cool breeze due to the mountain waters. It was beautiful! The lobby of the hotel was completely an amazing place too. Very good front desk staff and easy checkin and checkout! Very nice big and very clean room - and mine had a great view. Windows are double pane to cut down the noise of a nearby major street. View from my window was looking out towards the farmland and industry. Very soft bed! Good TV channels! And great shower and bathroom. Very good value!!! My issues were that the Italian government did not allow hotels to run AC until mid May - and it was hot. Keeping windows open meant you got the noise from the street. The other issue was location, and in day and early evening it is not a problem - but two dark spots and the tunnel beneath the railroad are not great places very late night between hotel and the old city gate. Crossing the major roadway is easy - just waiting for the lights at the pedestrian walk, but it is a walk into the city.

About 10 min walk to Piazza Bra and the Arena and another 10 min walk to Juliette’s House and the letter wall. Great shops along the way and many restaurants to choose from. The hotel is a little older, but well kept. An annoying shower head but not a big seal. Large assortment at breakfast. Overall we thought it was good value, not a long walk to the center. Taxi from train station was 12 euro but it was 16 to get back to the station. It’s close enough to walk, but it was 33 degrees and sunny and we didn’t want to haul our luggage!

Wir haben bereits 2x im Hotel Leon d´ Oro gewohnt. Vom Bahnhof Porta Nuova ist das Hotel ziemlich umständlich zu erreichen. Zu Fuß in etwa 10-15 Minuten. Das Hotel ist nicht neu, macht aber einen hervorragenden Eindruck. Es gibt unterschiedliche Zimmer. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Cappuccino schmeckt gut.

Stayed two nights here, chose it because of proximity to the train station. It's about a 10 minute walk, maybe a bit faster once you know the way - it's not the most pleasant walk, past two gas stations and across a busy road. The property itself looks like it must have been top of the line about 40 years ago. But showing lots of signs of wear and tear.

Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures. The lobby is dated and tired. At peak check-in hours, there is a long line and only one reception staff. Breakfast is included in the steep price but you may as well skip it unless you enjoy unkempt tables, overcrowding and terrible coffee from a machine (and this is Italy).

We only stayed one night and it was a good experience. I'd consider rebooking if we were to visit Verona again. It's a short walk to/from the train station with good amenities and the buffet breakfast was really good compared to others we had in Italy. They were really helpful with dietary preferences, informed us of vegan options and (though it wasn't what we needed) they also had a printout of their gluten-free options. The only not-nice thing was the person checking us in, she barely communicated or interacted with us, it was like speaking to a wall, and unfortunately she was the bare minimum level of helpful regarding our questions.

The hotel looks like it was once great and could be again with a little updating. Breakfast options were really good.
