The lobby looks good and we got a “free upgrade” which was very nice. Those were the only positives about the hotel: The hotel is outdated. It looks like an American horror movie from the 80’s. The airconditioning is a myth and fake; confirmed by staff We were in the renovated rooms on the fifth floor and it was WAY too hot to sleep. 28 degrees in our room! So we go to the staff that our AC isn’t working and they tell us that the whole system is controlled by the reception, the WHOLE AC system of the hotel. The displays in the room are fake, and don’t do anything. That’s what staff told us. We had so many night were we couldn’t sleep because it was to hot in our room! Everything looks cheap and the elevators are extremely slow. Lucky us that 1 of the 2 elevators wasn’t working so we had to wait for so long. And you’re not even in the centre of Verona so location also isn’t great.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, the breakfast was OK, some hot food were cold, though.. it's not close to the centre, and there are not lots of buses on Sunday.

We booked a double room 4 months ago and we're given a room with beds for 4 we were told that was the only one they had and very dismissive suggesting it was good to have the extra beds at no extra cost. I pushed back and eventually was given a double room by a more senior staff member.
