Holiday Inn Express Sedona - Oak Creek by IHG

We were very pleased with the stay. The hotel had all amenities like Gym, pool, sitting areas, and the FREE breakfast was excellent. Staff were very courteous both at desk and in breakfast area. Quite satisfied with the stay.

This was the first time I have had to pay for parking outside a city center. Parking was also pretty empty. On another note this was THE best breakfast we have enjoyed over the last two week trip.

Every thing is good here. Only thing I dont like is they charge me $15 extra for parking which I never pay before.

Upon checking in the person behind the counter, took two phone calls. The first one she put on hold the second one she continued a conversation. Was surprised to find out parking was extra. It was not included in our reservation, which I think is silly because that’s the only place to park when you stay there. So we had no choice but to pay the extra $15 a night.

$15 to park your car. I didn't have to pay this as the elevator was broken otherwise I would have walked straight back out the front door.

Room smelled very bad. The side exit in the hallway opened and closed all night & was so loud it kept us up all night. The breakfast was so bad I had to tell my child to throw it away. The pool was dirty & filled with bugs. Do not recommend. Gross

I knew the elevator was not working and a staff member helped get our luggage to the second floor which was great. But the outdoor pool was unusable…it was freezing. And the jets in the hot tub did not work. Look for another place to stay!

Great location, pool and jacuzzi was very clean. Food area was kept very well by the workers.

Everything was so clean, from the room to the lobby to the breakfast area. The staff was always so kind asking if we needed anything, they constantly restocked everything as soon as it went low. We really enjoyed our stay!

Front desk people were wonderful. The floors and elevator were very dirty. The beds were clean but the bathroom floor was dirty and the room had not been vacuumed. I stepped on a cockleburr. I don’t know what they had done to the towels but they were thin and dingy gray. The hotels was very reasonably priced but 5 miles from any of the fun activities.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good selection of breakfast buffet items. The towels are old, rough and should have been thrown out 2yrs ago.

The place is very dated and the bathroom shower was moldy. The room smelled like a smoker stayed in the room (we were in the first room closest to the side door where everyone stood to smoke.

Just okay. Room was decent: clean bed and tv. Bathroom had a broken mirror and shower, but still usable. Hallways weren’t clean; carpets in some places were black they were so dirty. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was usual hotel breakfast things.

It was so nice to be able to have a room earlier. Staff are very nice to deal with. Clean property.

Around a lot of cool things! Not the cleanest hotel we have stayed at but we certainly were able to make it work. We heard our upstairs people frequently throughout our stay, which was a doozy.

Shower did not properly work. Hotel was dirty.

Lobby is not well maintained. First impression as you walk in you see sticky floor. Beds not comfortable and squeak every time you toss around or get up. Room is decently clean.

Honestly its our 11th anniversary and we had a bad experience last stay before this. The outer doors to come in building still not working. Our room door 230 was hard to get open at times. Tv remotes didnt work. We were promised this next stay was going to be different experience but ended up with the same outcome!!!! May or may not stay again!!!

Feels like second mini home away from real home. The tvs feels dated and channels were out of service. But who needs to watch tv when you can see real red rock plateau breath taking views outside your room windows.

Not a luxury property. But adequate for what we needed. Good "economically friendly" price. Very friendly staff. In our room, a set of lights could not be turned off. Panel of plugs on the nightstand did not work. Walls are *very* thin. You can hear *everything* your neighbors are doing, ex) phone calls, laughing, yelling. Front desk agent explained "we are at full capacity". Perhaps this is why we had some diappointments. Requested towels twice on Friday night, twice on Sat morning. ZERO response. Lines waiting for food to be prepared for breakfast. (Sausage, eggs, pancakes). Inadequate number of seating there- had to bring our food to our room. Toilet leaking inside the tank, making a LOUD "hissss" every five minutes or so. Kudos to Samantha at the property who listened to our concerns and acted fairly to resolve.

Spacious room with armoire, plenty of luggage area, good counter space in the bathroom, Keurig coffee maker, flat screen TV. Wish this were more than an overnight stay!

Close to major attractions. Inadequate facilities inside the room. Non working thermostat

The view!!! Amazing. Customer service was top notch. The young man was probably the most well spoken front desk staff I’ve encountered in the last ten years. I hope he gets this recognition. He is great at his job! The room is so new and updated. I found myself saying over and over this was clever. Look at this, wow they even thought about this etc. Room is clean, modern and FUNCTIONAL! The moment you walk in it smells clean, looks crisp and new. The bathrooms spacious and clean. Great products as well! Not some off brand that you’ve never heard of. Important to some. They provide small nook for your purse and directly across a full mini kitchenette. Microwave keurig and fridge. All tucked into a small alcove not taking up space on any counter. So clever! Then there is two long desks with hanger rods overhead for hanging up anything. Along with a big suitcase elevated section that easily fit our 3 suitcases. Then another long desk top area and this one not only had a rod to hang but also hooks for backpacks! So convenient and smart! Next to that is additional storage with a full size armoire and safe. I was completely impressed with this set up. All hotels need to follow suit. Beds are comfy, pool was warm and hot tub was actually hot. Not like others where it felt like bath water.

The A/C in the room was horrible! It was so noisy we had a hard time even sleeping! It was impossible to control the temperature...either too cold or not cool enough! I woke up several times in the night covered with sweat! I would not stay here again!

The room was clean and convenient location for passing through to the next destination. The beds were comfortable but creaked with each move.

My hotel stay was great. Upon check-in the gentleman (I’m sorry I didn’t get his name) was friendly and helped signed me up for their rewards program. The room was clean and comfortable. The only small request I would make is when cleaning daily, please remove the trash. On Wednesday, I bagged up my trash in hopes that it would be removed but it wasn’t. Nothing was done outside of making up the bed. No bag for ice bucket. Again, small issue but still wanted to address. I would like to give a special shout out to Shelly, the front desk agent. She was phenomenal and represented the company exceptionally with her professionalism and customer service skills. On each of our encounters she was always smiling, her salutation was warm and caring. Her personality was spot on and energy was welcoming and inviting. The breakfast was good and cooked to perfection. They had a variety of items such as turkey sausage patties and sausage links. Cheese Egg omelette, scrambled eggs as well as cereals, cinnamon rolls, bagels, juices and fresh fruit. Oh and pancakes! lol. I enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

Our group leader said it was the best hotel yet. I was thankful that Aaron at the front desk.Refunded the parking charge for our three cars and the breakfast was excellent. The Pool was large and clean and they left it open for us an hour longer since we came in late. The staff was very kind and helpful. The only thing I would change is to have the ice machines closer to the lobby because they are so far away at the ends of the hallways.And also loud for the guests that stay close to the ice machines.

Staff is super helpful, especially Jordan at the front desk.. he was able to to recommend some beautiful places to visit and he came thru... thanks a million Jordan..

It took 20mins to get in our room. The keys didnt work. Had to go to the front desk 3 times before they had maintenance open it. Which didnt solve the problem for the next time we had to get in.

We would definitely stay at this Holiday Inn again! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was so good! The ladies working in the breakfast area were awesome!

We had a confirmed reservation for a king-size room, but we were given a queen-size room without any prior notice. We didn’t find out until we arrived at the room. When we spoke to the front desk, they informed us that they had run out of king rooms and decided to give us a queen instead. They refused to offer any compensation for the inconvenience. We ended up cramped in a small queen bed with two adults and one child. Absolutely terrible experience.

This property was great from check in to the interactions with employees in the hallways. The team was informative and helpful. Great place to stay and great food recommendations.

Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Very easy check in. Helped me sign up for IHG rewards. Due to availability I was able to get a room before 3:00pm. Be aware that there is a daily charge for parking. Which I don’t understand because you can’t get to the area without a car, there is plenty of parking, this is not a major city with limited parking. Charging for parking is not ok.

This location is perfect as it is very close by local restaurants and hiking areas. In addition, hotel was very quiet and staff was very friendly.

Very nice hotel, clean and bright. Not their fault it was high tourist season in Sedona (was a local for years), lol. That being said, it is accessible to many trails and dining options, the shuttle stops right at their door, etc. Just it was very, very busy and the people in the dining area getting breakfast was a little overwhelming in the a.m.

Good location in view of beautiful Sedona red rock landmarks. Walkable eating options. Breakfast offered good options, even gluten free.

It's very easy and nice part can see Courthouse Butt and Bell Rock from room. Very clean. Area is filled with other hotels so not much charm. Great little taco/burrito spot nearby. And a couple restaurants. Sedona is up the road, lots of traffic and challenging there for parking spots. If you want to be in the center of Sedona, this is not the spot for that. But for me, it certainly works for 1 night. I find with Holiday Inn, you usually can count on receiving a clean, safe place to stay.

A lot of dining options close by and walkable, and some just a few minutes drive. The best part is the view. When you go outside, Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte are breathtaking, and their trails are close by. Free breakfast. Parking is not free.

We loved it! Great location outside of Sedona. We utilized the free breakfast every morning which was great. Room was comfortable and staff was friendly!

Great location , very close to Bell Rock , only 10 minutes from I17 , Sedona drive 10 minutes . Good breakfast Quiet Has small pool although t didn’t had chance to go AC not super loud

The hotel is clean and comfortable, which was especially nice after a long hike. The breakfast was also one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts ever! There were many options, and they were delicious.

The stay was really nice. I loved the views but for almost $800 for the weekend , why did we have to pay for parking? Plus the breakfast wasn’t good. They ran out of things and the sausage was cold, my husband bit into a sausage that was still frozen. It was disappointing.

Overcrowded to the point of being a nuisance. Hallways were loud & dirty. No seating for breakfast, people overflowing into the lobby and foyer.

This was the best breakfast we have ever had at a Holiday Inn. Food was great, tons of options, extremely clean & the lady working was very friendly & nice.

Breakfast (turkey) sausage was in chafing dish and was cold, not lukewarm but cold - ugh.
