Disappointed by Lack of Communication – A Mixed Experience My boyfriend and I were looking forward to a relaxing getaway at what has long been his favorite hotel in Palm Springs. We specifically booked this stay with the expectation that the adults-only Elixir pool would be open, as it's a big part of what makes the property special for us. Unfortunately, the hotel failed to communicate that the Elixir pool would be closed during our stay. When we raised the issue with the front desk, we were met with little empathy. They stated that the family pool was effectively like the 21+ pool, and therefore no refund, compensation, or even a gesture of goodwill would be offered. They referred us to hotel management and mentioned that the pool was closed for remodeling due to the “off-season”—a surprising claim considering our visit was in early June, which is not typically off-season for Palm Springs. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to accommodate left a sour note on what should have been a good start to our trip. My boyfriend's initial excitement quickly turned into disappointment. That said, there were still bright spots. Our room was beautiful, and the bartender at GiGi's truly went above and beyond. He was attentive and made us feel seen during an otherwise frustrating experience. At the end of the night, he even offered us a nightcap on the house as a kind gesture to make up for the hotel’s shortcomings. It is left to be seen whether we return to V Palm Springs.

Upon checking in, the pool bar was completely closed… on a Sunday afternoon in Palm Soeings during summer. The pool water was murky, the pool loungers stained, and my bedroom smelled like urine every time you walked back into room.

Medíocre. Only one pool heated. Jacuzzi not working. A bit run down.

Everything is excellent. The front desk staff is very friendly & welcoming. The decor is a retro vibe and clean. Parking is free and right in front of Hotel. This reminds be a boutique hotel. I always stay in the first floor accross from the pool, room has a front patio area and a beautiful wood gate as you enter..The rooms are small but very clean- no need for more ! and beautiful decor. Beds are very comfy with great plush pillows, I slept very well. Bathroom is very accommodating, large shower with the things you need to clean up. The air conditioner is a wall unit, a little loud but works fine, important for me that I wasn’t hot. The pool area is nice Has alot of clean lounges, beds with mist, a great bar full of alcohol. The pool water might need to be a little cleaner, the tile around the pool needs a good scrub you can see the dirt. Dj playing great music on w/e. And you gotta to eat at GiGi restaurant, right next door in same lot. breakfast / lunch is Amazing I would recommend it here !

Great hotel except they DO NOT clean the pool daily and the black scum on the sides has always been there.. why the management lets this happen I can't imagine.. but, I know it has kept guest's from returning.. it's an issue!!! I use the cold shower they have poolside..

The property was nice and quiet during our stay. The adult pool was getting work done so we had to use the other one. There weren't many people at the pool so it was easy to move around to get shady chairs. All the staff were friendly and quick to help. The shower in the bathroom let out a lot of water. The room needed a little more up keep like painting scratched up areas, cleaning the walls, the tiles in the bathroom looked like they needed to be steam cleaned. The faucet for the shower also needed some extra elbow grease cleaning. The mini fridge didn't keep things cold. The room was very large. The TV's was a smart tv so you could log into your apps and watch whatever you want. They had a restaurant on site for pool snacks and drinks which made it convenient.

The rooms are clean. The cleaning and maintenance staff are very nice and do a great job. However I would say the service staff aren’t very friendly. Also the pool areas day beds need to be changed out for some new cushions, they are looking very run down and dirty. That all being said this place is fabulous because they have an adults only pool that gets sun most of the day, the adults pool really makes this place amazing.

I’m going to start this review off with the location. Location was decent, it was not hard to find at all. However area around it a little sketchy especially at night. Staff was friendly and lobby was nice. Room looked nice at first but it was dirty and had damages on the walls and doors. Had buffalo sauce on the sheets and floor was nasty. The shower did not have a door either so you have to angle the shower head to make sure it does not spill out . I personally would not recommend it for families since a lot of young people stay here to get lit and hook up. I will not be returning but had booked because it looked nice in pictures and the price was good. The only thing i can say i liked was the tv it was big and had a stereo surround sound so watching movies was a pleasure other than that it needs a lot of work.

Good location. Pool was clean, but the chairs were low the the ground and the bar closed at 4pm.

Love staying here when visiting Palm Springs. Quiet, clean and short drive to downtown Palm Springs. The only issue was both of the pools were dirty. Had a lot of bugs.

This is my 3rd times staying at V palm springs. This was not what I expected, the room was dirty specially the floor was Filthy stains everywhere. The shower was not clean. The pool was pretty dirty too. It was like a ghost town didn't really see any people. Sadly to say that would probably be the last time I stay here.

Arrived to property definitely didn’t look like it did in the pictures. Check in went smooth, when we got to our room the ac was very loud and it’s literally right next to the bed. Then we went into the bathroom and found cockroaches. Went to tell the front desk and his solution was just to move me to another room but the issue was the exact same in the next. Super loud ac.

Location and Pool Area Great. Cleanliness very very poor in room , stains on beds and bedding under sheets. Concrete floor in bedroom and tiled in bathroom filthy as when got out of shower feet became immediately black on sole. Asked to be cleaned but attempted clean next day poor and when asked again on that day told they would attend to next day but we were checking out. They did try to make it right by compensation.

Dirty rooms they smelled like mold rotten food in the fridge.

HORRENDOUS stay. Booked for a relaxing night and ended up surrounded by constant screaming, slamming doors, and partying guests that hotel security couldn’t control. Barely slept. The property itself has gone way downhill — walls are dinged, stains are everywhere, and even the nicer touches like designer toiletries are gone. I stay in Palm Springs often and even budget hotels do better than this. Highly recommend looking elsewhere.

We had a lovely stay our room was a good size and the bathroom was really nice! Unfortunately there were a lot of aspects of the room that seemed outdated or unfinished. For example the bathroom door couldn't close without scraping the bottom of the floor loudly and a lot of the paint edges did not look clean. Thankfully the room was very clean which is the most important thing for me. The pool areas were both very nice but those were not so clean. The pools had a ton of mosquitos and the pillows on the pool furniture all looked stained and old. Overall we had a good stay and the most important things were good but it could use with some improvements.

Staff were really kind and helpful! Rooms are starting to look a little worn down and our bed was not very comfortable. It was good for the price though and we will stay again. Restaurant onsite had very good food but service was slow. Overall, we had a good stay!

Really enjoyed the convenience of the restaurant to the hotel and the 2 different pools. The balcony for room 318 would have been better if it were not shared with the next room as whom ever rented that room kept trying to open the balcony door to my room.

It feels like stepping back into the 60’s. Very retro look with a new paint job. I really liked Eddie who was friendly and checked us in. The pool and music was inviting. The room itself had a cement painted floor that showed dirt and dust and that’s why I kept my shoes on the whole time. There are ear plugs and white sound machine to help with the noise…that is one thing I really appreciated because I could hear everything from the room one floor above us. It’s in a convenient location.

Balcony view was misleading after paying for the upgrade.

Great place to stay

This hotel has no phones in the rooms, you call a cell phone number listed on a card which was different. Also, our room was facing the pool and it’s pretty noisy. The staff would start rolling a cart of some kind down the sidewalk at 6 AM. The service was pretty slow. It could be better.

We were booked in a room directly above the bar/restaurant. The website said the bar was open until 10pm so my son and watched TV waiting for the music and noise to die down. 10:30 and people start chanting and we can hear everything. I asked the front desk person why the restaurant wasn’t closing and she said the hours are variable for big events like Stage Coach and the bar was separate from hotel and wouldn’t shut down. Thank goodness there was another room we were able to be moved into far away from the noise that had a more comfortable mattress and was quiet! The hot tub was great and the room was clean. Not sure what the floor material was made of but I didn’t like to walk bare foot on it as it felt kind of sticky. It would be great to state on the website that the hours are later for the bar when there are big events in town.

Price good. Location was good room size good. Noise not good you can hear ALL noise from rooms next you yours. Beds not good they are uncomfortable and make ridiculous amount of noise (loud) when you move.

Terrible experience. The air conditioner was unbearably noisy, making it difficult to sleep. On top of that, the room floor felt like a garage floor—cold, hard, and uninviting. Definitely not what I expected for a comfortable stay.

Hotel nice and clean and great location. Only issue was loud music by the pool you can hear in your room from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm. Nonstop auto tune house type music NON STOP.

Everyone except the front desk staff were AWESOME. Housekeepers, Landcapers & Bartender at the pool went above and beyond to make the stay relaxing and low key. The desk - DRAMA!!

Our stay was fantastic always have a great time. There beds are comfortable. Rooms are nice and clean and the staff is amazing. Savanna and Coby at the front desk are amazing

After driving over 2 hours, almost arriving to the hotel. Staff from the hotel called me that the Wi-Fi had gone out, and that they wouldn’t have my code to get into my room. They said that I can still check in but staff would have open the door for us everytime we would need to enter the room. When we arrived they said that the tech would be in between 12pm to 5 pm for service and that they would call or text me the room code to get into my room as soon as the Wi-Fi was back. I never got a call back. I asked like around 6 pm for the status. Then they stated that the Wi-Fi was back. However, my TV was still not working and d they did not have a code for my room. Staff was only available until 1 pm to open the doors. Therefore, me and my husband weren’t unable to go out at night due to that we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to get back to our room. This was so inconvenient

From check in to check out the service was impeccable. Such a clean, nice room. Very accommodating. A true desert gem!

I really wanted to rate this hotel higher as most of our stay was pleasant. The pool was nice and relaxing, though only one of them was heated. The rooms were spacious, and the shower pressure and cleanliness were great. However, I have a feather allergy and had specifically informed the hotel in advance. They assured me they double-checked, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. While my bed was fine, my friend's had feathers, which caused me severe discomfort, coughing, and sneezing for three nights. When I raised the issue with the front desk, the manager promised us two free nights in the future, but after following up with two emails, I’ve yet to receive a response over a month later. I hope you don’t face similar issues during your stay, but this incredibly disappointing customer service really tarnished my overall experience, despite an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Never got my deposit back of 200.00. I have tried to call but the staff was not helpful at all beware

The guy at the front desk was very pleasant and as helpful as he could be within the confines of their corporate policies: 1. It is not possible to check in at the front desk, one must check in online only in advance. 2. Online check in requires the creation of an account which collects more information than checking in for a domestic flight including 2 validation codes (one each for the email address and the phone number) and a picture. It is as if, like the airlines, they are preparing to be able to identify someone who commits a terrorist act. I felt more like a suspect than a guest. It begs the questions: What kind of person stays at their properties? What kind of person are they expecting to stay at their properties? 3. There are no phones in the rooms so that when the wi-fi doesn’t connect, which it didn’t, or for any other reason, it is not possible to simply call the front desk, one must actually leave the room and walk down to the front desk. 4. Logging in to be able to access TV channels also requires the collection of personal information which they “promise” to erase on the day of check out. I strongly suspect the actual purpose of gathering and verifying all this information is to be able to compile a list of verified personal data for sale to other companies, achieving an additional source of revenue for Sonder but an additional source of aggravation for their customers. I felt more like “fresh meat” for their data base than a guest at a hotel.

The staff was wonderful but they charged things to my card after I left and I have no way of getting a receipt. I called them and complained and was told someone would be in touch but no one has called.

This is kind of a mixed review. I looked at different reviews and they actually seem pretty spot on about this hotel and the service. Most people commented that the rooms were nice and the pool was very nice as well. This definitely seem to be true, where the reviews went a little south was the service And the front desk people which is also seem to be true. I was created at the front desk by the stopwatch or friendly, I explained it was my first time here, and I was very excited to try a new hotel in Palm Springs. I wasn’t a fan that you had to use a long code to get into the hotel room every day or every time you went in which seem to be kind of a hassle having to bring your phone with you everywhere you go just to remember the code. also, there were no towels at the pool. I had a surge both pools and finally go to the front desk and they commented they’re in your room. Which would’ve been fine if they actually explained that to you while checking in. One thing that was very interesting to me was there were no phones in the hotel room itself so when I wanted to call the front desk to find out what the Wi-Fi password is or about the towels, I had to call on my cell phone. I do agree it’s a nice and new upcoming property. I just feel that the front desk should be a lot more willing to give you all those details about the room and the towel and even the Wi-Fi password. I just feel more information should be given to you as a first time guest.

Great location. It sits at the junction between downtown Palm Springs and areas to the south like Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage. Easy to get around. The room was fine, not fabulous.

Close to the airport.

Accommodation was great. Bathroom seemed a little small. Shower head had a lot of calcium buildup. Otherwise great room. Staff was friendly and great location to club scene.

It was closed by downtown area so it was easy to get to and enjoy the downtown area. The place and the pools are nice.

Great property, pool area was fun, comfortable beds. It is an older motel but the room was great. Would definitely stay again, fits the vibe in Palm Springs.

This is an older hotel that they’ve redone completely. Sooo cute. Rooms have great beds and it’s cozy and cute. Gigi’s restaurant is good for breakfast or cocktails at the end of the night. 2 pools. Loved it.

We had a room near the adult pool. They have 2 pools, one specifically for adults, the other is for families. The 1st day we arrived there was louder music at the Adult pool during the day but that stopped in the early evening and we had a pleasant night's sleep. The music the rest of the weekend was mellow. The pool area was really nice with a nice bar for drinks. We also ate at Gigi's for dinner and really enjoy our meal. Its fine dining so it was one of the more expensive places to eat locally but we enjoyed the space and great service. We had our own patio at our room but it was a bit hot to enjoy it. The room was spacious with a nice walk in shower. The property is clean and the staff were super nice. Can't wait to go back.

This place is rhe best for a nice relaxing and reasonably priced stay. I love to lay poolside and order breakfast from the restaurant. The pool decor and restaurant are very cute. The staff is helpful and friendly. There are two pools one with a bar and one with bar and restaurant.

Staff were very helpful. We were gravely disappointed by the cost of a small cocktail. 2 mimosas with 20% tip were $48!!

This hotel is overdue for a remodel or a deep cleaning. All the pool chairs were filthy and had stains all over. They don't allow outside drinks and the onsite bar is very expensive and only open part of the day. They don't deliver to the pool and you have to stand there and order. They force a 20% tip on each check no matter what you order. The pool was dirty and cloudy. The bed was lumpy and room was tiny. Yet the bathroom was huge for some odd reason. Honestly we got a good deal at $107 a night. Would not pay more for this place again.

Great value, amenities and service. Nico is a great host at the poolside bar, Elixir.

Very good hotel for the price. Swim pools are inviting with very nice lounge chairs. Room large. Very large bathroom. I stayed in 300’s downstairs level with an enclosed patio with hanging chair and patio table and 2 chairs and right by pool. All great but the bar. Can’t get a frozen marguerita. Guess why? They don’t have a blender!!! Imagine a bar/ restaurant not having a blender.

We loved our stay, especially the pool area. The food and drinks from the restaurant/bars was also great for lunch and pool refreshments. The location was also perfect!
