Beachcomber Resort & Club

This resort was great especially for the price.

The staff was wonderful - very helpful and cheery! We wish there was a gym (even a small/basic one) on-property and the bathroom could have used an update. The resort itself was clean and nice though: the restaurant is great, cocktails are fun and not your run of the mill options. Beach staff was very accommodating and quick. Pool was clean and refreshing. Great spot overall!

This is a very old building and the bathroom definitely reflects the age. There was a hole in the wall, the tub was yucky and the water didn’t drain well! The location directly in the beach made it tolerable. I didn’t even stay my second night, the room was definitely not to my standards, need renovation bad!

*cockroach alert* I wish I could write a good review; I was excited… on Hotels.com it had a 9* recommendation rating. The rooms were poor quality - kept tripping over the rug, the fan was loud and struggling, the bathroom vanity was dirty, especially near the toilet, floors covered with sand. As soon as I found the roach in the vanity (it was dead btw), I quickly packed up our things as we had to be out by 11am. I spoke to the mgr. Karol and she was very matter or fact with zero compassion. It was perplexing- I have a background in hospitality and I was stunned - the front desk staff, and restaurant staff were nicer. She ended up waiving the resort fee and hotels.com credited $50. It was “fair”, but Karol could have appeared to have cared - this hotel is 2*, I would never stay there again, and I hate to say it, hard pass. Avoid.

The rooms could do with some sprucing up lots of wear and tear on furnishings but clean. The staff are very friendly.Ate at the restaurant Deep for lunch the food was average nothing special. Would definitely stay here again we enjoyed our stay.
