At this hotel, room access is direcrly outside. You park directly in front of your door. So no hallways to the hotel lobby or breakfast area. No.problem.in good weather but may be a bit of a hastle in bad weather. I would want to be on main floor not a second level. Everything else was fine.

We booked this property last minute and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of breakfast, the clean rooms and the ease of checking in. The coffee was good too. There is a $40 pet fee which surprised us because it was pet friendly.

The rooms were clean. The staff friendly. The parking lot had several larger spaces for big trucks. The breakfast was hot and was replenished quickly. It would be helpful to have a list of available channels, some displayed on the screen guide were not available. The one down side is there is no elevator for the site site - it’s not in the description so the top floor room was a challenge if one has multiple suitcases and other items to carry to the room.

I experienced the worst night ever in this hotel room. We found Bed Bugs and told the office and the lady at the front desk acted as if I was inconveniencing her. She did move us to a new room but it only slept 2 people and had one bed when I have 4 people. She brought a small and uncomfortable roll away bed, but the room was so small that it barely fit. There was literally no room to walk around. After we went to the new room, we inspected it and found TONS of bugs everywhere! Not only that but there where crumbs and dust in the corners and on the furniture. The curtains where stained with dirt and little red dots. More evidence of Bed Bugs! Since it was so late and I needed my kids to go to bed we were left with no choice but to stay for the night. My mom and I barely slept that night living with the heebie jeebies. Couldnt wait to check out in the morning... the manager was supposed to contact me, but I never heard from him. I paid $150 to live in hell for a night so I will be avoiding Best Western in the future.

I liked the property and the service, it had a laundry, ice machine, easy parking. Small town so everything is walkable. Room was clean but it just had this smell that was old, mildewy. Not sure if it came from the AC Unit, building, etc. overall, it was ok. That’s my only gripe.

The location was very convenient to Custer State Park, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, and Sylvan Lake. Our room’s cleanliness was subpar. Something was spilled in our shower and we found a sock laying on the floor from the previous person in our room.

We reached out ahead re minor mobility issues and no elevator and they gave us a room on ground floor we could back the car right up to and unload. Well kept though a bit dated. Just in heavy near record heat the AC unit was a bit weak and weirdly located, but we eventually got things cooled off modestly well but it took a very long time. Great location, great pool.

I did not stay. So no rating. The hostess behind the counter was seriously enforcing the no pets rule. Every other BW hotel accepted my pet bird. The bird is a 3-yr old male cockatiel. he is Caged, is quiet, does not get out of the cage to do harm and is quite well behaved. In addition, I clean up after the bird before I leave the room - that means no seed litter and no little bird poops are left behind. As I said, several others have either not charged a pet fee or charged a small fee - $2.00 was common. This will not infuence my used of BW but it might. This "lady" must have been having a bad day because she was simply not very nice.

Stayed here for a quick night on our way home from vacation. Front desk staff was friendly and thoughtful. She placed us near stairs and away from other guests without me requesting it. Which was nice since I had my children with me and had a lot to carry. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good too.

We were very pleased with our stay at Buffalo Ridge Inn. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location was excellent as we were able to visit both the Crazy Horse Memorial and Mt. Rushmore, our two destinations! And the staff were outstanding and helpful in making our stay very enjoyable!

Except for the tub not draining properly, the room was clean and comfortable. The clerk checking us in though was not clear in her instructions on where the room was located (it was in an unusual place) and when my husband went back to double-check she was rather rude.

We tried to check in at 1:00 which was 2 hours early. Even though our room was ready the young lady wouldn't let us check in unless we paid a $30 fee. My wife's sister had a room at another motel and they had no problem checking in early.
