The hotel, for the price, was a good deal. Great location, with a restaurant a one minute walk from hotel front door, very convenient. Only two small issues were interior halls could use painting, especially on doors to rooms. The inside of the rooms were fine and clean. The night of our stay, when we arrived, there was a sign explaining coffee machine had broken down last night, well the following day, the same sign was still there. So, no coffee. Not OK. But all in all, a good, clean hotel if you are looking to get off the road.

The staff was great, the actual hotel and building is a little dated and it was probably a really nice hotel a few decades ago, is not that is not maintained but I guess is the construction material laying in the back parking lot and at the stairs that give the impression of being under remodeling.

Located within a short distance from the interstate highway, but out of sight of it. Quiet area, low traffic road to town is some distance from the front of the hotel and in back is a wooded hill. Few dining options, although a Perkins restaurant separates hotel from the road, nothing else nearby. A tiny hardware store and an auto parts store are the next closest businesses about half a mile away. Property is nothing special, but was undergoing some renovation of the hallways during my visit. My room was typical for this brand of hotel; decent enough, everything worked, clean. Driveway to parking lot from road is steep with sharp transitions, might be a problem for lower or longer vehicles or anything with something attached to a trailer hitch.

The room they put us in smelled so bad of musty damp wetness. The curtains above the air conditioning had black mold all over them.They did put us in a different room and the same thing smelt so .weCan't even breathe from all of the smells no sleep this place needs to do something about the moldy smell my sister has asthma and she could not breathe. It was just most horrible experience we have ever endured.

Refrigerator very. Wobbly. Almost tipped it over. No nbc-cbs-abc-espn. No local channels. No weather channel. They used smart tv app for tv. A bunch of old outdated shows and movies. No cable. No ice machine. Breakfast was supposed to be open at 6.am they is what it said on the website. No breakfast at 6. We waited until 6:45 still no breakfast we had to leave and go pay for breakfast. Heat and air system needs to have work done. Heat was greatly fluctuating in temperature. Too hot could not get it to cool down even on low. Too much money for the conditions.will never stay again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was great, we loved the waffles. It’s close to many restaurants, Perkins is a great choice. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly friendly.

Room was small, especially the bathroom. Hardy any space in the bathroom to set out toiletries, makeup, etc. Ask for a room that would minimize steps needed to get to the room from an entrance. I made this request when I booked the room. We were given a room the the longest distance from either entrance. Not very kind to a person who has mobility problems.

The switch just as you walk into the room was faulty. It took me working with the front desk person after he turned on/off the breakers in the room to try to fix the issue but to no avail. The issue was no lights in the bathroom or on the desk worked. The nice front desk person was only guy working and too busy to check it out as we checked in after 8:00 pm Wednesday night. After about an hour and 1/2 I figured out if you place the switch just in the right position, all the lights would work. I had to do that in order to get ready for bed and shower the next morning. Bottom line, the switch needs to be replaced.

There was plenty of parking and it was in an area that felt safe, so that was good for traveling with family. The room was clean, great air condit, strong water pressure for the shower, and hot water for all of us to shower. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcome and appreciated. The breakfast was great. There was a lot of variety from fruit and yogurt, cereal, waffles, muffins, bagels, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, coffee, hot chocolate, eggs and sausage. It was within 20 minutes to ETSU and was quiet and peaceful coming back to the hotel.

The rooms were a bit old but they’re working on improving their rooms. The only think we did like is that we had to wait for Half and hour to get our room. There wasn’t a living person on the desk to help we had to call a the number on business card left in the desk. Call for assistance. At the same time brkfst was ok but the trash cans where top off from trash accumulated from previous days. And when we need it help from the desk receptionists there was not one person in the desk always empty. We had to extended our stay and decided to book a room at another hotel. We had it with this location.

I had a wonderful weekend stay at this hotel! From start to finish, the experience exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Despite it being the Fourth of July weekend, the hotel maintained a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The true highlight, however, was the exceptional staff. I was genuinely touched by the kindness and hospitality of Tina and Stephanie—they truly made the stay memorable! Tina checked me in, and I could’ve talked with her all day—she’s professional, kind, and incredibly genuine. At checkout, Stephanie was at the front desk and was just as wonderful. Both women went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Don’t hesitate to stay here—you’ll be in great hands!

The promised breakfast was a failure. We arrived an hour before it closed, but there were no eggs, the crockpot of gravy for biscuits was empty, the batter for waffles had run dry, and the coffee thermos was empty. The guy who was supposed to be taking care of it was sitting behind the desk, oblivious to what was going on. He was so slow to do anything that we left and went to buy another breakfast elsewhere. We chose Comfort Inn because the included breakfast made the price reasonable, but we ended up wasting valuable travel time AND money because of this negligence
