We were at the Fairmont over the weekend, and only one out of 5 elevators was working. The hotel seemed to be at full capacity and there was no staff members around to assist and direct you to the stairs. The phone lines were down throughout the stay. During room cleaning, our beds were done but water was not topped up in the jars. For the price of this hotel, the service should’ve been better. The women’s room shower downstairs has no running water and the front desk did not seem overly concerned about. This seems like a lot of issues for a hotel at this price point.

A beautiful, conveniently located historic wonder. Great amenities including a beautiful pool and spa. Wonderful customer service. Parking is a bit of a conundrum though. Valet is about $80/day with in/out privileges and the nearby garage is around $50/ day but they are VERY open about how often cars in the non-valet garage are broken into. I didn’t feel safe in that self-park garage and chose the valet over the risk. I LOVED the hotel but would recommend not having a car if staying here unless you plan to do valet.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Seattle. We were able to walk to plenty of tourist sites with ease. Check-in was rushed and the woman helping us was hard to understand. I requested valet parking and she gave us parking in the garage. We had to carry all of our suitcases from the parking garage. The other drawback was no microwave and also no personal fridge, just a mini bar. For how much we paid we'd like those amenities. The pool and hot tub were nice. The hot tub had stuff floating in it so we didn't stay long. The George was good, a little overpriced. We enjoyed Schuckers more. Overall a 4/5 stay.

hotel 1/10 if I could give a negative rating I would do it, we paid $500 for the room paid parking FROM THE HOTEL for $80 we stayed for only one night, in the morning we discovered that in the parking FROM THE HOTEL the glass in our car was broken and things worth a HUGE VALUE were stolen, this broke me the amounts of damages are simply colossal, the hotel management does not care at all about you and your property

Hotel is great, but won’t be staying here anymore. Rooms are nice and roomy and well appointed. However, the valet parking is horrible. We will not be staying here again just because of this. We called for the car and they told us 20 mins, and it was over an hour before we got our car and that’s only because we kept pestering the valet. Some people were waiting over an hour and a half. This has happened every time we stay here but this was the last time. We were hoping they would get the system fixed but it only seems to get worse. The woman running the valet doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing, she just has a handwritten list with valet numbers but doesn’t seem to know what car is where. We got to the point where we were asking for our keys so we could just go get it ourselves. We travel a lot and have never had to deal with this sort of service before. We gave them three chances and almost a year to get this system fixed and it just gets worse so we will be staying somewhere else from now on. It’s a shame because the rest of the hotel is great! But when you end on such a bad note it’s really not worth it.

Location was great. You could walk to many stores and restaurants. Hotel was very clean. The only down side we had to staying at this hotel was that room service wouldn't come until around 3pm. Very pretty on the inside with history about the hotel was interesting. Staff was friendly.

The hotel lobby and reception area are lovely- well decorated and the bar is cosy. However the service was odd- never seemed to be anyone at the bar to get a coffee in the afternoons. One man I dealt w at reception was cold & a little rude. However the young lady (trainee) who checked me in was great. . Room was comfortable with nice large bathroom counter. However rooms were starting to look tired in parts & was dusty when I arrived. (Although they did send someone asap to clean around the bed specifically when asked). Also you cannot call down directly to the receptionists, it’s an automated system which was frustrating to use. The pool area is pleasant and the gym is well equipped, as is the ladies changing room. Walking distance to pike market and other landmarks in the city, be prepared for the hills! Overall a comfortable stay, bellboys and door staff were exemplary - specifically the lady with a headscarf, apologies I didn’t get her name. I didn’t eat at the hotel so cannot comment although there didn’t seem to be many vegan options when I browsed.

The lobby is truly lovely, and the location of the hotel is fabulous. We didn’t spring for the $1600/night room— so maybe we deserved it… but we did pay 450 and I figured we couldn’t go wrong at this property. The beds were positively tiny. We are a family of four and so each of us sleeping with one of our kids who are both under six was OK but these beds are not fulls— they are smaller than that. They seem like XL twins perhaps? The worst part about the room was when you open the door you were positively bowled over by the smell of mildew. It was nauseating. Typically when a smell is a little bit off after a while you get used to it- not the case in this instance. Even after hours in the room, I would wake up in the middle of the night realizing once again how overwhelming the mildew smell was. Do not stay in the cheap rooms if you stay at this hotel. Also, we really stayed at this hotel because of the pool and hot tub and the high reviews it gets. We were underwhelmed to say the least. There was no attendant that I saw the three times we were at the pool. The floors were dirty and sopping wet and the chairs look like each of them have been sat in hundreds of thousands of times. Most of the towels that we used were thread bare. The hot tub was large and a good temperature. My kids had a great time in both the pool and the hot tub. I will not be back and I will not recommend this accommodation.

Room was small and carpet needed cleaning, cobwebs above the bed, no bathroom fan, lotion and shower gel ran out, someone else’s hair in the bed and reception always busy when we went to discuss. Overall overpriced ‘mid’ experience. We will go to the Four Seasons next time. Facilities were small but sufficient but steps by the pool and hot tub were dirty.

I was so excited to stay in my first Fairmont hotel. The building itself is beautiful, full of amazing architecture, marble and woodwork. The staff was amazing as was Shuckers, we ate there 3 nights in a row due to great food and convenience. On the downside, the minibar was never restocked between guests so we were charged quite a bit of money for things we did not drink. Additionally, the previous guest left items in the fridge which were not sanitary. A few interactions with the front desk got things sorted and the charges were removed. The rooms themselves are a bit worn, but comfortable (the bed was great!). Thank you!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. When I arrived, I found poop on the floor of the room—completely unhygienic and disturbing. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned or inspected before my stay. The rollaway bed provided was extremely uncomfortable and barely usable. It felt more like a temporary cot than something meant for actual sleep. To make matters worse, even though I clearly reported four guests at check-in, I was given a room with only one double bed, and they attempted to charge me per day for the extra guests—as if this information hadn’t already been disclosed. Overall, the condition of the room, the lack of cleanliness, and the poor handling of guest accommodations made this one of the worst hotel stays I’ve experienced. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, honest, and comfortable stay.

Good location. Parking made easy, and nice to have luggage taken to the room. Room is noticeably older, carpet is worn, imperfections on the walls and furniture. Hair on the comforter and towels…fridge is mini bar only so we asked to remove items in order to refrigerate toddler’s medicine. Staff approved but charged us $196, for missing items I told them were unopened on the counter. Would not stay again.

The hotel was absolutely stunning. Great interiors and tasteful details. I was really looking forward to our stay here. Unfortunately there were a few issue with cleanliness. Upon arriving to our room, there was a super sticky substance on the bathroom floor. I called the front desk, and housekeeping immediately came to clean it up. The next morning, I attempted to use the robe provided in the closet, but when I put it on, I found a brown substance on the chest and sleeve which was disturbing. This was right before checking out and I brought it to their attention upon check out. Cleanliness is a biggie for me. Other than these things, the hotel is wonderful. Staff are kind and welcoming. Bar staff have great hospitality. Overall environment was great.

Generally a wonderful place to stay. Our only complaints were that our room was located on the front of the property and the building across the street had Rooftop event space almost parallel to our window and they held several outdoor events late into the evening that were noisy. This is beyond the hotel’s control- just know that a front facing room might be noisy.

No exhaust in bathroom. Recent work on walls had leftover caulk on walls. Pillows seemed low quality. Bl;ack out shade did not have drapes to cover the sides and bottom resulting in sunshine coming into the room. No napkins or paper towels, no fridge. Complimentary water was great. Front desk was great. Room itself seemed clean although small for a suite. Overall it was a good stay, just not what I expected from a Fairmont property, and for that price.

Shower pressure was very low. It was hard to take shower in that pressure. Rest assured it is a nice hotel Leen at reception was very kind and helpful. All attractions are walking distance. I wish they had good shower pressure as well.

We had a very nice room that was an upgrade at check in and it was large and roomy with a bed that was very comfortable. Staff was great and our check in was only a couple of minutes.

We booked a Deluxe Double room with 2 beds for 4 guests. When it came time to go to bed, it became apparent the beds were tiny (they were only full beds). My husband kept falling out of bed with me and my children did not have enough room to share a bed either. We explained the situation to the front desk who offered us a 1 bedroom suite with a sofa bed which sounded nice. Hoever the sofa bed was miniscule and only about 4 feet long which meant my daughter had to lie diagonally and my husband and I had to share a bed with our teenage son which meant we were packed liked sardines. When we explained the situation to the front desk they did not want to help any further without us paying extra for a larger room. They even had the audacity to say we should have booked 2 rooms! for the 2nd night, I requested a roll away bed. Initially it did fit in but they found a very narrow and short bed that just fitted in the room if we pushed all the furniture against the wall. We were very disappointed with the whole experience as Fairmont is supposed to be a luxury brand but my kids were sleeping in small camping beds. Why advertize a deluxe room with double beds and allow the website to book for 4 guests if in fact it is only meant for a 2 person occupation? We had two very bad nights of sleep with the upheaval of moving rooms and moving all the furniture around. I think it only fair that this stay be reimbursed.

Property is beautiful. We stayed for 4 days and were able to enjoy the Founders bar, Olympic bar, pool and room service. All were great experiences. I would say the curtains need to give a better black out option, I can only speak for the room we had 5th floor corner facing city, but other than that great stay and experience!

We were at the Fairmont over the weekend, and only one out of 5 elevators was working. The hotel seemed to be at full capacity and there was no staff members around to assist and direct you to the stairs. The phone lines were down throughout the stay. During room cleaning, our beds were done but water was not topped up in the jars. For the price of this hotel, the service should’ve been better. The women’s room shower downstairs has no running water and the front desk did not seem overly concerned about. This seems like a lot of issues for a hotel at this price point.

The location of this hotel is great, within walking distance of a lot of things if you are a tourist. We walked to and from the hotel early in the morning and at night and never felt unsafe despite some of the sketchiness we saw in the area (homelessness, smells, dirty streets). The service was fantastic especially the doormen and valet. Unfortunately the check-in process was slow, with a line stretching at least ten deep and only two persons able to check you in. The property itself is vast given its age, but it needs some modern upgrades. Firstly the elevators are slow and not as spacious inside. The escalator from the main entrance to the lobby was also down. Finally in our room (Deluxe King, I believe) it lacks a lot of modern amenities you should expect in a five star hotel including USB ports at the desk, plug ins at the bedside, automatic blinds and curtains, walk-in shower, slippers, long time to get hot water for the tub, to name a few. The hand lotion bottle was also not refilled. I believe everything could be achieved with some Reno’s while also maintaining the charm, look, and aesthetic of this iconic building. Overall I would not go back until the above is addressed to put it on par with other five star properties I have experienced. At the price I paid, you can get far better elsewhere.

Lovely hotel with nice large room; easy priority check-in; requested an early check-in for health reasons via online portal and even though the hotel was completely sold out, they were able to comply with this request. There was a delay in the room availability beyond check in time. Then, when we received a room and keycard, we discovered when we tried to use the key that another guest was in the room! This was very embarrassing and it took 30 more minutes waiting downstairs before it was straightened out - and I jumped the long line or it would have taken longer. The manager was very apologetic and gave us a generous credit to use for food at the hotel but it was one the the worst experiences that I have had at a hotel and I travel a lot. The room - when we got to it- was nice.

Hotels location is nice but customer service needs a total revamp. Staff needs to be friendlier and more attentive. The phones in the room don’t work. It’s hard to get in touch with front desk or any other dept. I had to walk down to the front desk multiple times during my stay from my room to have my tasks completed (pull out car from valet, receive my DoorDash order and deliver to room etc). Additionally, the cleaning crew had 6 hrs between 9 am to 3 pm to clean our room while we were out on excursions but the room was still not cleaned. Overall, a bitter experience and I do not plan to book fairmont properties in the future.

Hotel is great, but won’t be staying here anymore. Rooms are nice and roomy and well appointed. However, the valet parking is horrible. We will not be staying here again just because of this. We called for the car and they told us 20 mins, and it was over an hour before we got our car and that’s only because we kept pestering the valet. Some people were waiting over an hour and a half. This has happened every time we stay here but this was the last time. We were hoping they would get the system fixed but it only seems to get worse. The woman running the valet doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing, she just has a handwritten list with valet numbers but doesn’t seem to know what car is where. We got to the point where we were asking for our keys so we could just go get it ourselves. We travel a lot and have never had to deal with this sort of service before. We gave them three chances and almost a year to get this system fixed and it just gets worse so we will be staying somewhere else from now on. It’s a shame because the rest of the hotel is great! But when you end on such a bad note it’s really not worth it.

This was a wonderful hotel experience! All staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We were able to check in early and got great dinner recommendations! The room was perfect and super clean and very comfy bed! The location was great and we were able to easily walk to the market, the waterfront and monorail.

Excellent customer service. Really enjoyed the gym with newer equipment, the sauna, and my kid liked the pool. Easy to get to from the airport using the light rail and getting off on symphony. Easy walk to Pike's place. Con: loud street noise at night, some unsavory characters around area at night.

We cant get room service and we have had to wait in long lines after long holds trying to get in touch with the front desk. Im was told to tex the provided number and there's no response. Im am not happy with the stay at all. Really regretting my booking. My wife and i were really looking forward to room service and a nice room. Ive got an hour and a half into trying to order food with no food to show for it.

The pool and hot tub area was amazing. The beauty of the historic property and all the pictures were fun to look at. The bar area was very cool and cocktails, though expensive, were delicious! Shuckers restaurant was great! Easy walk to Pike's place market!

The hotel is physically beautiful. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit small for two people to use. In addition, the noise from outside was bothersome. Overall, we were quite pleased with the quality and service during our stay. The pool area was a nice place for the family to relax after exploring Seattle. During our visit we ordered room service once for breakfast and once for dinner. The breakfast was outstanding; however we were very disappointed with the dinner as they sent grilled cheese instead of the grilled chicken we ordered for our daughter, the french onion soup was extremely salty while the clam chowder had little flavor. We don't consider ourselves picky eaters but the soups were so below our expectations we decided not to eat them.
Overall, we were quite pleased with the quality and service during our stay. The pool area was a nice place for the family to relax after exploring Seattle. During our visit we ordered room service once for breakfast and once for dinner. This is a high end hotel with exceptionally pleasant staff top to bottom. The room was very quiet on the tenth floor overlooking the main entrance plaza. The pool was lovely. The location cannot be beaten for walking to Pike and restaurants. Lovely stay
