We stayed for one night. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel itself is very well refurbished. I appreciated the fact that they provide a dial key to mute and control the sound levels of the Haram imam. Breakfast is okay—nothing special, but it gets the job done. The lifts are a bit slow and small, but there are plenty of them. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Not sure if this place qualifies as a 5 star property but I had a pleasant stay. The rooms are definitely dated and could use updating but they were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a buffet with a lot of choices. Walk to the Haram took only 5 minutes. Getting to the property by car can be difficult as our Uber drivers could not find it and then when we finally found it he could not stop in front of it so we ended up having to walk through the crowds of people with our bags to the lobby. All in all is a good option for anyone performing umrah to get to the haram.

Hotel is okay, but internet is too slow, breakfast is okay, there is small cafeteria at the lobby but was noisy as there was maintenance ongoing, also there is construction nearby so expect some noise during day time

Great location, 2-3 minutes walk to the yard of the great mosque. Property is older and not well maintained. All the table lamps flickered from poor electrical connection from the light switches. Bathroom smells of urine and urine stain near the toilets. I told the front desk first day of arrival and they said they would clean it right away. When I left next day the smell was still there. Staff is great and helpful.

So my family and I booked 3 rooms while staying in Mecca. The hotel is supremely overpriced for its condition, it’s very old, feels like it was made back in the 80s and never renovated, the only comfortable part is the bed and pillows. But the room is dirty, needs vacuuming, the elevator is like those you see in movies. The breakfast and lunch buffets are expensive comparatively but with very limited options, and not such great ones either. The photos are a clear catfish. The surrounding area is 8 mins supposedly away from the “haram” but about “20 mins” away from Kaaba, because you need to get to gate 79. It’s relatively close to the close tower, and the exist from Al Safa and marwa. The staff that work there are probably the best thing about it to be fair, they are all very kind and friendly. But I still wouldn’t ever recommend it.

At first glance, we were happy with the hotel's proximity to the Haram. The check-in process was smooth. We arrived very early in the morning and we got an early check-in for a fee. The room was a standard overlooking the Haram without the Kaaba though. This was all nice but as soon as we used the bathroom, an awful smell was woken up. It smelled like urine that had not flushed for years. It almost burned our noses. We were there to perform Umrah and rarely stayed in the room. When you get Rm 1510, please do not take it

I stayed in this hotel years back. It was neat and nice. Now it degraded a lot. Kind of abandoned... sad... to be specific, the phone in the room was not working which presents a hazard to the guests. Also the internet was almost inexistent. I had to use my phone data.

The room is rundown and old. No hair dryer. Extra charge for coffee with paid meals for breakfast and dinner. We could hear people talking next door. This hotel had better days…The hotel needs major renovations and repairs. The pictures they have seem to from a time past. Overall, not bad land it’s close to the haram.

Pros: cleanliness and very close to Haram (3 min walking distance) Cons: 1) There was no wifi in my room and the receptionist refused to change the room on the basis that no other rooms available which means that I paid for an amenity that is not available in addition to spending more money to be connected all the times over mobile data roaming and 2) Refused to add marriott bonvoy points to my membership despite selecting the “pay at hotel” option and I was informed that these are instructions from the hotel manager (which I never seen before in any other country).

Everything about this hotel is perfect from price to location. Staff is very welcoming and quick check in and out. Close walk to Umrah door of haram and plenty of shopping and restaurants in between. Clean and comfortable and roomy rooms. Have water and tea and coffee in rooms and plenty of towels. Breakfast was also plentiful. Tons of options, including an omelet station.

Very close to the entrance to where you enter the Kaaba for umrah. King Abdel Aziz gate. Very comfortable. Great staff. Very nice gift shop with good prices and a kind and sincere owner.

Feeling welcome upon reaching the hotel and being greeted by the friendly doorman. Room was spacious and clean. There is a mosque at the top floor (21st storey) for those who are late to the Masjidil Haram which is about 5 minutes walk. The bed was very comfy. The breakfast buffet needs to be variety. Should has free gourmet coffee instead the need to pay for it. And the walkway to rooms are little dim. Need more lights to brighten it

This is not a five star hotel. It is not up to Meridian standards at all. I hope the manager goes down to the breakfast dining hall to see all the problems. The breakfast barely had anything, and the chairs were super wobbly, which made me very uncomfortable. And also, why is the coffee machine for 10 riyals? Shouldn’t that be included with the breakfast? If these things are not fixed, the overall rating for this hotel should definitely go down.
