Nice and new hotel, and good price. Would stay again. The roof top pool is small, but very nice. The location is also good. Breakfast Selection is big and ok, but not the most premium. For instance they did not have real juice (but some sort of nectar). Only issue in the hotel is that it is too cold. Aircondition is at around 18-19 degrees, making the breakfast cold before you sit down. I see its the same in other hotels in the area, but it is annoying to have to wear a jacket inside…

Stayed at Amari colombo for 2 weeks with my family and we really enjoyed every day of our stay at the hotel. The room was very spacious, clean and modern. The breakfast and the food in the hotels restaurants were excellent. The rooftop experience including the infinity pool was great. The service from the hotel staff was fabulous and I would specially like to thank Mr. Aravintha who was very professional and serviceminded and would really go that extra mile to give you the best service. Thank you very much Mr. Aravintha.

Fantastic view from the rooftop pool. All the staff were extremely helpful & went over & above to make my stay wonderful. The buffet breakfast included a wide variety of fusion cuisine which was great too. Thank you Amari!

We stayed at Amari Hotel in Colombo for one night upon landing in Sri Lanka, en route to Bentota. We chose this hotel because it is reasonably priced for an overnight stay and is newly built. It turned out to be a very decent and comfortable option. Although we didn’t get to make full use of the amenities due to the short duration of our stay, the hotel does offer some good facilities. Notably, it has a rooftop infinity pool with a small indoor and outdoor bar and restaurant where we spent a bit of time and enjoyed the atmosphere. The only downside was the check-in time of 3:00 PM, which is slightly later than the more common 2:00 PM check-in offered by many other establishments. That said, the hotel scores well on price, cleanliness, and location, and I would recommend it for short stays or stopovers in Colombo.

Really great new facility. Bars, restaurants, cafe, service staff all excellent. In the city but doesnt feel that way. Great ocean views from the many level stories in the hotel. Felt like I could live in the room no problem.

Stayed here for two nights at the end of my trip. The property is ok. They’ve put lots of effort into the design of the property, however they’re not always invested in the highest quality materials. The hotel opened only six months ago, and there is already signs of wear and tear. My bathroom also had a weird smell, which the front desk didn’t care about. The breakfast was ok. They seem to be trying to please everyone (American, Continental, East Asian & South Asian), however the food looks a bit sad. Quality of the food doesnt live up to the premium look their trying to achieve. Sri Lankans are genuinely lovely people. The hotel is training their people to over service and it’s uncomfortable.

Unfortunately the smell of damp in our room (1412) was so strong and overpowering that it woke us up and disrupted our sleep. I was also concerned about the possible health implications. The staff were very friendly and the other facilities were very good.

Great stay at this hotel in Colombo. Front desk staff Hansika and Purnima were especially helpful. Pool was nice and infinity pool. Room was very clean. The AC was cold (maybe almost too cold) but I was able to turn it off when needed. One issue that should be addressed is the smell of the drain near the bidet - was in room 1905. I did not use the bidet but that drain makes the bathroom smell like sour water. I didn’t complain to staff at front desk as I knew there wasn’t likely much they could do about this, however building management should look into this.

While the hotel looks modern and attractive at first glance, this impression collapses completely as soon as you experience the actual service and management. What was acceptable: The bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the city view was pleasant. The rooftop bar with live music and DJ sets was enjoyable, and the breakfast buffet was extensive. Where everything went seriously wrong: From check-in onward, the experience was dominated by incompetence and a lack of professionalism. Our room door was defective, and despite reporting it immediately in the early afternoon, nothing happened for hours. After several complaints, someone looked at it but simply disappeared without fixing anything or communicating with us. By 21:30, after yet another call, we were finally told the door could not be repaired and that we needed to change rooms. Assigning a room with a broken door and then requiring multiple interventions to address something so basic is absolutely unacceptable in any hotel — especially one claiming five stars. The problems continued nonstop: The first room had an empty soap dispenser. The second room had stained sheets and visible mold in the bathroom. Under the sofa, there was still trash left behind from previous guests — clearly the room had not been cleaned properly. The breakfast room was uncomfortably cold. Service was wildly inconsistent: plates were cleare

Room was immaculate, attention to detail by staff was above and beyond. Possibly one of the best and most diverse breakfasts I’ve ever had. Considering the price, this is well worth it!

Enjoyed the breakfast with lot of varieties. Hotel is clean with great ocean and city views. I wish bathroom is little bigger.

New property. Breakfast buffet is ok. Rooms are ok but some minor design faults were seen. Shower cubical has no door. Therefore water spill onto outside. Spend lot on high ceilings and blockout curtains but light still slip in to the room.

This is a new property so everything is really upscale and nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restaurants are excellent. The reason I gave 4 stars is because there were issues with power but the staff did an amazing job fixing and addressing the problems. Additionally the gym was not open yet so that was disappointing.

The building is pristine and the staff seems to speak like they care but lot of inaction. One example is, I called twice to get WiFi working in the room, no follow-ups, then I complained about the WiFi when one of the staff asked me how was my stay. No followups whatsoever. Then when I went down the next day to check-out they wanted to help. At that point things became cold soup for me.

It is on the main street and most of the attraction are near by. The view of the ocean was so amazing from the room. I would love to stay again and highly recommended.

Amari, Colombo is a modern, luxury hotel, conveniently located, walkable with personal dining experiences. Energetic courteous staff. I admire that owners are vigilant and take great pride in hospitality and experiences for their guests. Starting with the executive and sous chefs and food and beverage staff. Registration, housekeeping, restaurant and lounge staff. The ground staff that greet you and your valet your car then bring your bags to your room. The Amari gives that extra touch that makes one want to return. Thank you.

L'accueil à l'hotel s'est déroulé parfaitement. Le check-in fut rapide. La chambre est vraiment comme sur les photos. Nous avions pris la moins chère et il y avait quand même une vue sur la mer. Je n'ai rien à dire sur l'était de la chambre et la propreté. C'est dire que c'est un compliment car je n'hésite pas à critiquer lorsque c'est sale. L'hôtel est au top. Les différentes salles de restaurations sont superbes. En ce qui concerne le petit déjeuner, je vous conseille d'y aller le jour-même sans reservation. C'était environ 14€ par prrsonne et il y en a pour tous les goûts. Rien à voir avec les traditionnels continentaux à 30€/personne. English, sri lankan, asiatique, fruits, patisseries françaises, c'était vraiment top.

Incredible good hotel. Modern and has all the amenities one requires. Pool is lovely. Breaky was amazing. Only negative for me is be careful of the service charge+++ price gets out of control fast
