The rooms are nice, and it is pretty quiet being downtown. Breakfast not included and a bit pricy in are opinion. And a note if you have to use there parking, hopefully you don't have a large/high vehicle because there is like only 10 spots to park.

The hotel is well located and very clean. Nice lobby bar, and you can take your drink to your room. However, the parking facility is dated and does not really work for modern vehicles. I know this is an issue of vehicle size, but my Ridgeline was too tall for the garage and we ended up parking in a municipal lot in Byward Market instead.

I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Ottawa on Tuesday, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. When I entered my room, I found it quite dirty — the bedsheets and pillowcases hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there was hair all over them. I even took pictures as proof. The staff were polite and welcoming, and they answered all my questions, which I really appreciated. However, the overall cleanliness of the room was not at all up to Hilton standards. Considering the high price I paid for the stay, I was also surprised that breakfast wasn’t included and I had to pay extra for it. Overall, friendly staff but very poor room cleanliness and not worth the price.

The room was really nice. It was thoughtfully designed, but everything also seemed really high-quality--the workmanship on the room seemed solid and everything seemed really deeply clean. The staff were also very professional, and you get a cookie when you check-in!

I don't like my experience with this hotel. It is very dark. Looks durty. Like old train station. There are no slippers in the room, no bath rope. The shower gel bottles are durty with soap rings around. Looks like nobody washed it. Very old photo wallpaper on the wall. Room is small.

Clean property. Great location. It is next door to the Rideau Center for shopping and only few minutes walk to Byward Market. The housecleaning was prompt and performed daily.

I loved my stay. I booked this particular hotel because Expedia said that all rooms were sound-proofed. What a blessing. I could completely unwind and be in my bubble. I also got a room with a view and was able to watch the sun set behind the Parliament buildings. It was a healing experience, just what I hoped for.

Nice hotel! Not a lot of space in rooms but comfortable enough and clean. We could hear the person in the next room snoring which wasn’t amazing and one of the beds was noisy but these weren’t huge problems. The welcome cookies are a delicious touch!

I liked that the room was clean and the bathroom is also very clean. However, me and my girlfriend were very disappointed about the service. We called to have food to be sent up to our room. Then after waiting 30min, the staff called us and told us that there is a delay because the kitchen is very busy. Since we ordered before many people who came in to dine, we still had our order last. Then we were told that we’ll have to come down to grab our food. When we went down, the food wasnt ready and the kitchen was about to close. After another long wait we finally got our food. We had to bring it up to our room ourselves. Additionally, the food was absolutely terrible. It was bland, it didnt taste right and the plates were still wet. They forgot to give us utensils so we had to call to at least bring that up. We gave back our food and ordered online. We asked to make sure we weren't charged for that as it was super expensive as well.

Staff was HORRIBLE! They talked down to you made you feel so belittled. Also double charged my card for my stay and I had a hold for my whole duration of my trip. Staff didn’t care to make it right at all. Parking is horrible very limited especially for oversized vehicles. Never ever recommend this hotel to anyone

The Front Desk team were all friendly and helpful.. Sona checked us in and out - and was extremely helpful with directions to places we wanted to go, extra nice all the time and also helped make our 30th Wedding Anniversary very special for us and sent us a fruit and cheese plate from the DoubleTree "team". Great Hotel with location, location, location! Loved the warm cookies too!

It was a bit disappointing that we had to wait for a room when we arrived. We had an event we needed to get to, so we left and then came back later to finish registering and get our room. Majority of the staff were lovely, however, when we went for breakfast we found the service a bit lacking. Many tables not cleared of dirty dishes, lipstick on what were supposed to be clean mugs and drinking glasses, some of the serving staff just didn’t really fit in with the level of friendliness, and customer service of other staff. Rooms were mostly clean, and housekeeping was excellent.

The beds at this hotel are great. The location is perfect for a touristic visit to the capital. Parking is extra but can be charged through the hotel. Restaurants and bars are close and inviting. The local trains are a block away and the mall is right there. Will recommend to any friends and family.

Been here a few times. Hotel is great. Ottawa has a serious drug and Homelessness problem. Very embarrassing and sad as a Canadian that we let our Nations Capital look like this. Can’t imagine what visitors from other countries think.

Downtown Ottawa is a very convenient place to stay, especially with the ByWard Market and plenty of food options nearby. The service was superb, and the warm cookie was a nice surprise. All around a great stay. Clean, great service and accommodating staff. The beds were ok, not terrible, but could be a little more comfortable and a little firmer. You have to eat at the Albion in the hotel lobby. Great food and amazing staff. I highly recommend the charcuterie board.

The restaurant was overpriced which was unfortunately made room service too expensive. The room smelled strongly like cleaning product, a carpet shampoo probably. Location was great for accessing the Roger centre for a conference. Staff were very friendly and provided good service. Everything was clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good water pressure and really hot water. However, wish I had chosen a hotel with more amenities. Coffee shop and gym would have been good to have.

Great place to stay . Very central . No food service after 10pm...no vending machines or a complementary coffee station in the lobby . Had to pay 10 bucks for 2 coffees . Need more access to snacks and coffee .
