Bra att det gick att ladda elbilen på hotellet. Hotellet var bra på alla sätt och vis och det var berikande och intressant med så många olika nationaliteter på gästerna. Rekommenderas starkt :)

We had an incredible stay at the Grand Hotel. Fantastic service with friendly, knowledgeable, helpful reception staff, beautiful facilities, beautiful views, delicious food. Perfect location to explore Zell am See and enjoy the lake. Loved the complementary paddleboat and bicycle options. A really special treat, we felt completely spoiled and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, as are the spectacular mountains around Zell am See, jaw-dropping, 'Wow'!

This grand old hotel has all the glamour and old charm you see in the photos. It takes you back to a different time & if you like that, it’s all you need. It is not all redone/repainted or remodelled for today, so don’t expect that. The hotel is beautiful and the view/location cannot be beat. The staff were amazing, so helpful and smiling always. The breakfast is pleasant & included in most packages. The lounge upstairs was an experience in itself, so do check it out. The spa was dated, but quite cozy & again fit the bill for relaxation. Overall we loved it!

Excellent breakfast options, amazing 5 course dinners as well as afternoon snacks, just what you needed after a day skiing. Grand spa area was fantastic treatment for post ski recovery. Absolutely loved our stay at the Grand best location.

The Grand has faded but still an impressive hotel, 5 course Dinner was good and breakfast was superb. Bed was one of the comfiest ones I've slept in. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Getting to it is a little complicated in the one way system in Zell am See (don't solely rely on Google maps). Not sure it completely justified the price but it was an experience.

Hotel in sehr guter Lage direkt am See. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr freundliches Personal. Eher enge Garage bei der das dritte Untergeschoss über einen Fahrzeugfahrstuhl erreichbar ist - ist spannend aber alternativ ist auch ein Parkservice angeboten. Beschilderung im recht verwinkelten Hotel nicht überall gegeben z.B. zum Gym oder zur Garage gibt es keine durchgehende Beschilderung

This is the second time we have stayed here and we love it. Fabulous location, very friendly staff, very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is fantastic (I think the best we have ever had,) Apparently the evening meals are great too but went out. The swimming pool area is lovely. As I wasn't skiing I had it all to myself in the mornings - I understand it gets busy with children in the afternoon. Our only gripe is the position of our room - 223. It overlooked both the lake and the town so we got best of both worlds.... until Monday night when the goods trains started rumbling past - almost continuously. There are also two family rooms next door and unfortunately we must have had the noisiest children ever staying in them who started shouting and running around from about 6.30 am. But that's our only gripe. THe hotel itself is lovely and we would definitely stay again.

There was a horrible smell that emanated from the shower room. Smelled like sewage. Originally the area smelled more like bleach (as if they tried to correct it). But as the evening wore on - it became overpowering. We shut off the door and opened the windows int he middle of the night and were okay. When we drew the hotel's attention to it in the morning all they did was tell us that we should have brought it to their attention in the middle of the night - that they have someone on duty 24/7 - as if we were at fault. This is a shame because it put a damper on wha would have been a delightful stay. I would argue they probably should have apologized profusely and knocked some euros of the room charge. But they didn't. Pretty bush league for a fancy/expensive hotel.

Die Lage ist immer noch einmalig und das Essen außergewöhnlich gut, auch wenn jetzt nur noch zwei Gänge beim Abendessen serviert werden und Vorspeisen und Dessert jetzt per Selbstbedienung am Buffet stattfinden. SPA leer, sauber und angenehm. Service scheint teilweise neu, unerfahren und unmotiviert zu sein, es mangelt teilweise an der bisher bekannten Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit des Hauses. Dies betrifft nicht das SPA und die Mitarbeiter der Imperial Bar. Das Zimmer war dieses Mal eine Katastrophe - direkter Blick auf die Bahnschienen und entsprechende Lautstärke auch nachts - von ruhigem Schlaf konnte daher keine Rede sein. Ich hoffe sehr, es handelt es sich um die Wiederanlaufschwierigkeiten nach Corona.

A bit of emperor's new clothes situation going on here. Wants to be fancy but isn't. No shorts allowed in bars and restaurants but sweatpants were. Food was average, breakfast seemed store bought. Staff was great, location also. Spa was also nice. We had a stinky drain and there's no ac. It has potential but it's not exploited probably.

Staff was phenomenal and so very helpful. Lake & property location was great. Brewery and cafe open/service times were limited and somewhat confusing. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. No air conditioning, which we knew about, so we brought fans and were also supplied with fans but am uncertain if this is normal or our room just happened to have some fans left in it. Biggest issue was that the train runs directly next to the hotel and is quite loud since we needed to leave our doors and windows wide open at night in order to cool our room enough to sleep. We were able to get some sleep with 5 fans going, 2 noise machines and ear plugs. It’s a beautiful setting with great staff and clean rooms but if you’re a light sleeper who requires coolness to sleep, this might not be the best option for you.

Fabulous location , wonderful hotel . Very comfortable beds, superb food , we booked half board ,which even included afternoon snacks. Only thing to criticise in our room ( we booked a superior double with sea view ) was the shower, very small and the shower head not fixed properly and making it difficult to shower, we called maintainence, but it wasn’t fixed . Trains regularly going past the hotel also very noisy during the night

What a wonderful hotel! Beautiful historic building in a stunning location with wonderful facilities, food and fantastic staff. I received a free upgrade and had a huge wellness room with an in room sauna and a stunning balcony overlooking the lake. The half board was such great value with a lovely 2 course mid afternoon snack, fabulous 5 course gourmet dinner and wonderful breakfast spread. They even dropped me off at the station as it was snowing. Lovely staff throughout the hotel, and great spa and pool facilities. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back!

We loved staying at the Grand Hotel. The staff were gracious, professional, yet friendly. Food in the dining room was excellent. We particularly enjoyed all the choices for breakfast. Our room looked onto the lake. Spectacular view.

The Grand has faded but still an impressive hotel, 5 course Dinner was good and breakfast was superb. Bed was one of the comfiest ones I've slept in. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Getting to it is a little complicated in the one way system in Zell am See (don't solely rely on Google maps). Not sure it completely justified the price but it was an experience.

Fabulous location , wonderful hotel . Very comfortable beds, superb food , we booked half board ,which even included afternoon snacks. Only thing to criticise in our room ( we booked a superior double with sea view ) was the shower, very small and the shower head not fixed properly and making it difficult to shower, we called maintainence, but it wasn’t fixed . Trains regularly going past the hotel also very noisy during the night

There was a horrible smell that emanated from the shower room. Smelled like sewage. Originally the area smelled more like bleach (as if they tried to correct it). But as the evening wore on - it became overpowering. We shut off the door and opened the windows int he middle of the night and were okay. When we drew the hotel's attention to it in the morning all they did was tell us that we should have brought it to their attention in the middle of the night - that they have someone on duty 24/7 - as if we were at fault. This is a shame because it put a damper on wha would have been a delightful stay. I would argue they probably should have apologized profusely and knocked some euros of the room charge. But they didn't. Pretty bush league for a fancy/expensive hotel.

What a wonderful hotel! Beautiful historic building in a stunning location with wonderful facilities, food and fantastic staff. I received a free upgrade and had a huge wellness room with an in room sauna and a stunning balcony overlooking the lake. The half board was such great value with a lovely 2 course mid afternoon snack, fabulous 5 course gourmet dinner and wonderful breakfast spread. They even dropped me off at the station as it was snowing. Lovely staff throughout the hotel, and great spa and pool facilities. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back!

Staff was phenomenal and so very helpful. Lake & property location was great. Brewery and cafe open/service times were limited and somewhat confusing. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. Biggest issue was that the train runs directly next to the hotel and is quite loud since we needed to leave our doors and windows wide open at night in order to cool our room enough to sleep. This grand old hotel has all the glamour and old charm you see in the photos. It takes you back to a different time & if you like that, it’s all you need. It is not all redone/repainted or remodelled for today, so don’t expect that. The hotel is beautiful and the view/location cannot be beat. The staff were amazing, so helpful and smiling always. The breakfast is pleasant & included in most packages. The lounge upstairs was an experience in itself, so do check it out. The spa was dated, but quite cozy & again fit the bill for relaxation. Overall we loved it!

This is the second time we have stayed here and we love it. Fabulous location, very friendly staff, very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is fantastic (I think the best we have ever had,) Apparently the evening meals are great too but went out. The swimming pool area is lovely. As I wasn't skiing I had it all to myself in the mornings - I understand it gets busy with children in the afternoon. Our only gripe is the position of our room - 223. It overlooked both the lake and the town so we got best of both worlds.... until Monday night when the goods trains started rumbling past - almost continuously. There are also two family rooms next door and unfortunately we must have had the noisiest children ever staying in them who started shouting and running around from about 6.30 am. But that's our only gripe. THe hotel itself is lovely and we would definitely stay again.

A bit of emperor's new clothes situation going on here. Wants to be fancy but isn't. No shorts allowed in bars and restaurants but sweatpants were. Food was average, breakfast seemed store bought. Staff was great, location also. Spa was also nice. We had a stinky drain and there's no ac. It has potential but it's not exploited probably.
