So, the initial checkin was a bit on the cold side and the initial room that they gave us had some issues that made it less than what I would have expected from a 4 star property of Mercure. But, we ended up speaking with one of the guest service people, Patricia, who really was a guest service person. She listened to what we had to say and seemed to take our constructive comments seriously. In the end, they changed our room and the stay ended up to be a very nice, comfortable stay. So, her service was outstanding and hopefully her performance and care will be observed and followed by other staff.

We found the food in dinning room was not very good . The herring was dry. Main meal I could not eat also dry and tasteless The chef was not very polite. I would suggest hiring another chef . The other staff was very polite and professional. . Also found the room was very small .

The interior decoration is a little bit overused, the washbasin and shower stall are not clean enough with yellowish dirt. The hotel is next to the main road so the noise from the motor bike or motor car can be heard clearly even after the midnight. The room with sofa bed option is definitely terrible and not recommended to the family travellers since the mattress of the sofa is just with 1.5inch thickness but the hotel said they can’t arrange extra mattress without reason. They finally provided additional two blankets but the bed is still too thin for sleeping. The lighting system design is weird that the lightings in the toilet can not be switched on/off independently, it must be connected to entire room lighting so mobile phone torch can only be used when we go toilet after mid-night.
