Spacious rooms and clean but it was very cold. Neither radiator or in-room heating/air con worked. A family event brought a large group of us to this hotel. Their rooms were also all cold. Hotel explanation was that they turn their heating off in the summer months, therefore the temperature control box in each room was not fit for purpose. They did however bring a small heater. Breakfast was average. Nice pool area. Although you’re out of town they charge £10 for parking overnight which is poor, unless you are a IHG member. Top tip- join the IHG group on checkin for free parking.

Great value! The hotel's got a beautiful lobby and great facilities, including a pool and gym. The staff was polite and the rooms comfy and clean. Also, they offer 24-hour room service. It's great for families and, although there's nothing to do around the hotel, central Cambridge is a 15min drive away. We were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, I would totally recommend.

The bedroom was nice and a good size, however the bathroom felt unclean. There were hairs in the sink and the floor was dirty. The extractor fan didn\'t work and when I looked at it I could see why, it was disgusting. The bath matt had also been put in upside down, which isn\'t an issue but does goes to show the effort put into making it look presentable. The bar and restaurant areas were clean and presentable, if not a little chilly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The "spa" area was nothing more than a sauna and steam room next to an average, swimming pool and the whole area including changing rooms could really use some TLC, it looked very run down.

When we asked at reception why they hadn’t been delivered was told they didn’t have any. They did we’d seen some. Poor staff and not kept to the usual standard we’d expect.

Hotel is in a great location and I have stayed here before, but on this occasion the condition and cleanliness was poor, dust on the the room numbers, thick cobwebs on signs in the corridor, the timescale build up in the baths makes it look like they are only cleaning the main bits regularly. Marks on the bedsheets (clean but marked) For the price I would expect better

Overall disappointing as the rooms & corridors weren’t clean enough. Carpets in the corridors need urgent attention!! I had 2 rooms & both bathrooms with the rooms had dirty marks & smell. One of the rooms A/C didn’t work, I don’t understand why that room was given to guests when the A/C doesn’t work.

Breakfast was great, but there was a long walk to the room with no lift, the bath was rather scruffy, and check-in seemed to take ages as I needed to repeat everything at least 3 times.

Reception and bar area was nice. Our room was quite ratty esp the bathroom. The shower rail round the bath was starting to fall off meaning the bathroom floor got soaked as the curtain would close properly. The room could of done with a re paint

A pit stop on the way to France. Initially the hotel looked great, amazing gym and pool but the rooms were tired in need of upgrades. There was a wedding reception and the lobby and bar were chockablock. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Tired room, hairs found on the bed and side table, toilet cystern noisy and took a very long time to refill so the noise continued for about 15 minutes each time the toilet was flushed. Awoken at 3am and 5am by guests staying in neighbouring rooms. All in all a disappointing stay

A decent hotel in convenient location. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a bit dated and in need on renovation... The bathroom in particular sorely needs updating. But over all a comfortable night sleep and good facilities. Very helpful and friendly staff and was made to feel welcome. Would definitely stay again.

Hotels infrastructure is poorly made despite recent refurb. Does not keep noise out due to thin walls and sometimes put in room which has adjoining door. If you have loud neighbour in next room can feel like they in your room. Had to ask to be moved to different room for that reason. The doors banging shut did not help which caused my sleep to be disturbed a few times through the night. Positive part of this hotel is the Breakfast. A good selection of options and staff were very friendly and helpful.

One night stay to see Cambridge. Lovely reception and bar area. Very attentive reception staff. Nice restaurant but noisy. Food order forgotten and took 1.5 hours to receive. No offer of extra drinks or a reduction. These were not mains but 4 starters! Spa wonderful and treat (facial) excellent. Beautiful setting. Will visit again even though the food order was not good. Breakfast great. Checkout smooth.

Great bank holiday weekend here! Nice hotel, decent gym and spa, bar well equipped. Lovely staff… special shout out to Silvia and Edward at the front desk! Super nice and welcoming, got some freebies as it was my birthday thanks! Overall well looked after and would definitely recommend this hotel

Upon arrival at about half past mignight we were tired and ready to go straight to bed, but found that our room was not made up - we booked a family room and the sofa bed wasn't prepared - still a sofa, no sheets provided etc. They moved us quickly to a different room that was prepared, so not a big deal, but a hassle. They did say sorry verbally but offered no formal apology. As were there for 2 nights I thought a free drink or a few quid off breakfast would have been nice. The good: The room was comfy and spotless, the breakfast was nice and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. The less good: The pool closed at 9 with the hot tub, sauna and steam room all going off at 8, which was dissapointing. The bar was a total rip-off. I get drinks prices are high these days but this place is just having a laugh. Lastly, I was surprised to find a £5 per day parking charge which was thankfully waived because I was an IHG rewards member.

When the receptionist call you in your room, a few hours after arrival, asking if everything was ok with our room, you can’t complain about the service. Everything else was on the same level: bar, lounge and restaurant. Staff was very friendly and food was very good. The staff in this hotel knows what hospitality means!

The hotel itself is fine and recommended, but really only for people with a car; for people who depend on public transportation it is quite inconvenient. It is about 15 min walk to the bus station, and another 15 minutes on the bus to the city. Not terrible, but especially with suitcases quite inconvenient. On the positive side, there is a meadow with sheep directly next to the hotel, the children enjoyed that. But a hotel shuttle to the bus stop would be really appreciated.

The hotel is not in walking distance to central Cambridge but is very close to Milton park and ride to get into town (£4 return, free parking). Hotel decor is a little tired in places, signs of wear and tear but it was fine for a one night stay. Staff super helpful and welcoming, ok breakfast, pool is a bonus.

Convenient location close to park and ride. Premium room was run down and needed an upgrade. Had to eat outside of hotel and go to local supermarket for whole of stay due to lack of any gluten free options.

Room was nice and bed was comfy. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. Teas and coffee included. Only downside we had to pay £10 for parking which we didn’t expect.

Friendly staff, nice bar area. Well located. Rooms sparse, if I’m paying £175 a night room only. I expect at least a biscuit in the room. Main gripe is the food portions (Very expensive for a standard hotel…(£8 for starter, &18 for a burger, £8 for deserts, £7 a pint) so you shouldn’t still be hungry after 3 courses!
