What motel 6 doesn't have coffee in the morning, this 1 and no ice machine told to go next door to the gas station

at check in was given a parking pass, everything on it was highlighted in purple, i glanced thru it BUT was not made aware that there was no back in parking. In the morning i had a warning attached tom my window placed at 11:30pm I could be towed for the violation. They should have emphasized that at check in. In the morning the person said I should be lucky i wasn't towed. Wont stay there again

The room was BASIC. No hair dryer. Ice machine broken. Staff unfriendly.Paying over $200 for this room???

Was counting on pool but pool was closed for cleaning

No coffee in the room no refrigerator TV fails intermittently, no ice that’s right, no ice anywhere on the hotel property They failed to clean my room on the second day and I told him and then on the third date just nothing they never cleaned the room. All you need is a bed then this very cheap motels is what you’ll get and nothing more

Lots of transient wandering back and forth through property at all hours of night and early morning hours. Property was under construction with big dumpsters in parking lot. Room had cigarette burns on floor in bathroom. Towels had stains on them and mattress sunk down in places. Walkways had only god knows what kind of stains/stickiness and trash on them.... Check-in person was courteous and wi-fi worked....

I do not usually bother with a poor review as I know I will simply not ever be staying there again. I have stayed at other Motel 6 properties and have been quite satisfied. This location seems to have mostly people that simply live there full time. The entire lower level of the two story building has been gutted for renovations which will be good as the rooms are very dated and in below average condition. The staff that I encountered were very pleasant. My room had a lock on the door that was very problematic to open with the card. I asked the cleaning service staff if they could open it, they as well could not. I got a new card, that was problematic as well. It was also difficult to get out of the door. I know a Motel 6 is a lower end accommodation but the basics like being able to enter and exit your unit should be a given. The last straw was coming back to the room in the evening and having people around the Motel lingering. Me trying to get into my room and of course the key would not open the door. This causes people to come to my door. I had just done the Ironman triathlon and had my bike with me. One man asked what kind of bike that I had. He proceeded to write down the make of the bike. I finally got into my room....very flustered. I had one more night that I has paid for to stay there but I checked out at 7 am the day after all this happened. When a huge chain like Motel 6 has this location as a representation of the brand....they lose customers. They have lost me.

Room was good, clean. But there is no laundry for the guests.

When I first opened the door to the room, I saw a bunch (maybe 10 or so) cockroches scamper away! I ended up killing about a hundred throughout my ONE NIGHT stay! I’ve been to budget hotels all over the country and have NEVER had an experience like this! I felt gross the whole time.

Absolutely filthy and I have stayed at a Motel 6 before! Walls had spills/blood splatter. Hairs on every towel. Door was falling off the hinges.

When I got to my room it was dirty and used. The bed was not made. It was disgusting! They gave me a room that hadn't been cleaned at all from the last guests. I took pictures.

I checked in and was given a room. The door would not open and I was give an adjacent room to be moved. I was never moved. My room was filthy with hair on the sheets and bath tub. I asked for the room to be cleaned and it never was in three days. I saw the cleaners at other rooms just never my own. To end it off I saw a cockroach the last night

The room was really dirty. We found an old razor and a bunch of trash. The beds were clearly not clean. We found wrappers in the sheets and found dirt in the sheets. The housekeeping never cleaned our room. We had to go get our own clean towels as well. This place sucked

This Motel 6 location is conveniently close to ASU, restaurants, and offers affordable rates, which are definitely positives. The room itself was basic, which was expected for a motel of this type. The TV was quite small, but that wasn't a major issue for us. The room initially smelled very clean, thanks to the Fabuloso scent, and the surfaces, sheets, and sink area were indeed clean. However, there were a couple of cleanliness issues that detracted from the experience. The remote control was dirty, with gunk on the back and missing the battery cover. While staff acknowledged the issue, they didn't have a replacement. Additionally, there was a noticeable brown streak on the ceiling above the toilet in the bathroom. The hot water for the showers was excellent, which was appreciated. While our stay was ultimately okay, we ended up leaving a bit early due to a change in our plans. Honestly, the cleanliness issues, particularly the remote and the mark in the bathroom, would likely make me choose a different hotel next time. While the price and location are good, those cleanliness concerns are important.

This hotel was disgusting. A literal roach motel. The first room we got, there were roaches everywhere. The second room we moved to, was filthy, the bathroom door was completely broken in. The health department should shut this place down.

room 109 was absolutely disgusting. long hair on the bed. ima. dude i have short hair. bathroom was filthy. looked like it wasn’t clean. there were shoe marks in the bathroom. i checked in dropped my stuff off. went to do some shopping and dinner for a few hours. came back to shower and noticed how it was disgusting. there was a dog next room over and it kept barking non stop. the room itself was gross. the front desk lady was super nice and offered a new. told her no experience was awful.

Dirty room, towels were dirty. Leftover forks in floor

Everything is extremely dirty. The bedsheets were clearly not even washed, same goes for the towels

The AC was not working and had to change my room.

Wifi not working and no breakfast as advertised by hotel

It smells terrible, the pillows were so small as to be unusable, the towels hurt to use, and it’s insanely loud in the room.

The air conditioner in the room was extremely noisy and in bad condition.

Bathroom door falling off the hinges, had to push it up to make it close. Hard, uncomfortable beds. Front door had gaps to the outside so light shone through in several places.

The room was awful. It looked nothing like the picture advertised. There was no closet or any storage for clothes. The bathroom was an open tiled floor with a shower. The sink was almost detached. I checked out early and did not even stay the night. The space was tiny and unattractive. I guess that’s what I should have expected for the price. But I don’t think I will ever stay at a Motel6 again.

The pictures are not the same as the hotel room. While the beds and the desks, along with the tv were the same as the shown pictures, the bathroom was not the same. The pictures show a tub, and a more modern look. That was not the case, for the room i had the bathroom was poor, and the shower water leaks out since there is no door or tub, just an open area with a short wall extending out for the shower.

Ok the staff is amazing. But this is probably the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. Cable is glitchy, wifi kicks you off every 10 seconds. My heat/ac unit looks like it's from the 70s and is missing pieces. The toilet seat has several crack that pinch you when you sit down. One bed has a questionable stain and the other has blood drops. I feel like a 3rd world cockroach.

Our room's air conditioner is making a lot of noise as if it isn't working ok

The TV had no signal despite saying it had cable. Toilet seat was so loose you couldn't even sit on it. Mattress was very thin and not very comfortable. Only 2 thin pillows. Very dated.

Quick and easy check-in

We had a paid-in-full reservation, for a late arrival after a cross-country flight. We got to hotel at around midnight and the guy manning the desk said “I can’t check you in. Our system is down.” Um. He gestures toward the tablet and says “I can’t access anything. I can‘t even see if you have a reservation.” Then adds the completely unneccessary: “Anyway, it’s after midnight. If you aren’t here by then we cancel your reservation.” Ummmm. I walk out, pull up my reservation, the Paid in Full, the note about late arrival and walk back in, show him, say, Room’s paid for and so? He says “I can’t do anything. Maybe in 30 minutes after this charges.” Uh, what?? This is a major chain and you have no other ideas how to handle this? No alternate solutions? Call corporate? He offered nothing. We left at 12:45 and went to another Motel 6, paid for another room and had an awful night’s sleep in a non-smoking room that absolutely REEKED of smoke (and now so do we), long line of cigarette burns along the edge of the bathtub. I have been staying in budget motels for decades while driving long stretches across the country. I don’t expect amazing rooms or service. But do I expect a clean, available room, especially when I have paid for it in advance, no matter what time I get to the motel? Yeah. Yeah, I do. Bare minimum, folks. Never again. And now I have to spend more of my precious time trying to get the refund owed me.

Terry at the front desk was amazing. Fixed any tiny issues and very friendly...wonderful

The general manager, Veronica was the reason we left. She couldn't have been more condescending, rude and mean. She can cross her arms and roll her eyes at someone else! Her staff member messed up bad and she disciplined us! Your front desk clerk, Kathleen Coats was so outraged watching the way we were treated that she even called to apologize after we left! She was so kind and professional. You need a general manager like her!

Friendly staff

I arrived after 11pm for a reservation I made months in advance and confirmed that morning. When arriving, there was a sign on the door "cash only" - apparently their machine was down. They didn't contact any of their reservations to advise. When asked what i needed to do because I didn't have cash, the lady at the counter just said "Go get cash" in a VERY condescending manner. I walked out and had to scramble, at 11:30 at night, to find another hotel. Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I've used Motel 6 for years. I will never again book at their hotels.

My key doesn’t work but no one was in lobby for one hour and locked out and wait for one hour it’s crazy

Didn’t even get to stay here. Waited for someone at front desk for 45 mins and no one ever came.

For a motel it wasn’t bad. Check in was easy. The room was clean and the surrounding area was quiet. The staff were polite. There are restaurants, Walgreens and a gas station in the area.

Near to many activities and local businesses and ASU

The place was good. It had access to nearly everything I wanted including transportation to the workshop venue. There were nice restaurants close by and grocery store was just within 5minute walk from the building.

Despite the convenient location and helpful, friendly staff, I do not recommend. Awful noise factor, mostly out of Hotel's control; road noise, heavy equipment nonsense at gas station next door at all hours, older building wo noise insulation. Disappointing condition, run down/abused. Didn't feel particularly safe. Losers trashed park lot/disgarded trash overnight.

What's I Like about the property is that your pretty much in good distance to it all Shopping eating gas for your car all near by...

Love the location and very nice staff

Rooms look recently refurbished and bed was comfortable. Exterior could use some work but to be fair, I\'ve never seen a "really nice" Motel 6. There were some shady guests and apparently homeless in the area. Okay place for overnight but I wouldn\'t lodge here on an extended stay.

Still a little sketchy as far as the area, but good for a quick stay! Downtown and the Tempe beach park are cheap to uber/lyft and circle k and taco shop across the street are super convenient for those who come back to the room super late!

I understand it’s just Motel 6, but this was the scariest place I’ve ever stayed. This is not just a hotel, they house dangerous people here. The police raided the unit above me and even threw a flash bang in there. The rooms are literally stained with cigarette scent. Do not stay here, you are better off sleeping on a bus bench… it’s horrific here.

One side of bed almost against the wall. No coffee. Floor had not been swept everywhere. Clean bed, vanity, toilet and shower.

This place is a total dive and an embarrassment to the brand. AC unit super loud. Mattress had springs I could feel and was super uncomfortable; there were also yellow stains on the white bedspread. No dressers, just shelves. Bathroom faucet had an errant stream that sprayed things on the sink counter. Pipe below sink was leaky. One bar of soap provided. Coffee in the lobby was weak. My colleague stayed at the Motel 6 on Camelback and said it was much better.
