Hot tub down

Upon arrival we found out Wifi would not be operational our entire stay, Breakfast was decent the best, Room look like there was blood on the carpet and had a strange odor for the entire stay. The pool is the size of a peanut with no chairs at all to sit out by. The gym had all the equipment piled into the corner, completely unusable. Many other hotels in the area available for similar price with much better accommodations. Would not recommend or return to this hotel. Staff is fairly nice though.

Hot tub did not work

The pool area was disgusting it was dirty when we got there and worse when we left. The ramp to our room area near the pool has anti slip tape that is ripped and wore out and is trip hazard. A young lady walking in front of me tripped and fell on this and rolled in to the gravel beside the sidewalk. I have pictures if any one cares

Good value and good breakfast. Pool was nice but hot tub was not working. Bed was too hard. Property needs renovation because it’s too worn. Staff was friendly.

Didn’t have working cable, floors turned our feet black, had to request towels - doors didn’t seal properly to outside … it was an “ok” stay but could definitely use some TLC…. Hot tub also turned our fingernails green 😬

The rooms are underwhelming. Stark and no I'm comfort qualities. One ice machine for entire property. Pool has no chaise chairs. Is not welcoming.

Loved the prices for being righr on Scottsdale Road very convenient! Staff is great, nice room and beautiful pool and hot tub !

I turned green (skin and hair) after being in the pool.

This was the most disgusting room I've ever stayed in and not at all how it was pictured. The room was filthy in every sense... walls with dirt & marking all over, couch was covered in stains, there were 3 empty 40oz beer bottles in one of the cabinets, shower was gross, some of the wiring for the tv just was a hole punctured through the wall eith tape holding it in place... just eww.

Room was pretty dusty and dirty. I checked in next to mid night and have to leave really early in the morning. I could not cancel the room due to time constraints. Besides the dirty floors, the worst was the bathroom, it was moldy, old and dirty.

It was well kept on the outside and lobby area. Breakfast was good. The only two things that I disliked was the room smelled like someone had just cooked something and the floor was filthy. You couldn't see the dirtiness but walking around the room for an evening and realizing that both the bottoms of my feet were black!

Room smelled old and like mildew, paint missing from wall, bathroom was dirty and smelled terrible. Bed sheets were dirty and bed was not made neatly

Arrived and there were people hanging out in front. A guy snoring in a chair. Check in ok. Went to our room there was a large spill in front of our door The room had a spill on the floor, the bed sheets were dirty. Slept on top. I found a room attendant next morning asked for new sheets to be placed. Which she did. However, did not clean room for 3 days, empty garbage at all. We had 1 towel for 2 people. The shower handle fell off when we used it, shower doors not sealed so water all over floor. Changed our towels and took dirty ones on 3rd day. Left us 1 towel again. The spill out front of door was not cleaned up till our last day. The piece de resistance is they had bed bugs. My husband is bit all over. And now comes the decontamination of everything.

The dirtiest room i have ever stayed in.

Check in was unpleasant. There were two people at the front desk. One guy of Indian descent was assisting one guest while we had a possibly Hispanic descent. Zero pleasantries, minimal eye contact and grunting as responses. Of course, not a single employee was wearing name tags. He only gave us one key card despite there being two people listed. He gave us a room for handicapped people. The bathtub was filthy and had mold. Toilet barely flushed. Very little counter space. There were no washcloths. Bedspread was stained and furniture was battered. We asked for washcloth and were told that they would be delivered to the room in 15 minutes. After two hours of no-show, we were told that there would be no towels/washcloths till the morning. Morning comes and we were told that there were no washcloths available. I HAD TO GO OUT AND BUY WASHCLOTHS! The fitness center had no disinfecting wipes and the bathrooms were locked. The employees in the breakfast section did not use clean hands when handling trash and then food. The place has so much potential. But management is not doing their job. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone,

The room was filthy. Walls, floors, etc. pretty sure the floors have never been washed- so dirty- stuff stuck to them- toilet seat was broken & barely hanging on. Had to push really hard on the door to shut it & once securely shut, could still see daylight around it. For some, these things may not have been an issue- for us, cleanliness is a high standard. Since it was prepaid, and nonrefundable, we stuck it out & were there as little as possible.

Bed sheets were stained, kitchen sink clogged, floor panels broken, no toilet paper nor rack, blow dryer broken. Restroom light flickered

Room floors were dirty- feet were black after 5 minutes- tub had black mold in the caulking around it- people above were smoking weed. Bed was hard and pillows small….breakfast was minimal had to find somethin else on the way to appointments. Never again

The ac unit in our room we’re putting out hot air.

Did not like the bright lights at night. Need black out curtains.

Room was spacious, bed was comfy, food options close by.

The new room design is nice - AC/Heat unit is very noisy however.

Initial non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. I was moved to a smoke-free room, which was pretty distant from any parking. The air conditioner was loud and couldn't compete with the summer heat in Tempe. Breakfast service was spotty. I had to wait a long time for some eggs and bacon.

The rooms was unfortunately very noisy due to being next to the street. Any rooms on the west side of the building will be affected. Wish I would have known that prior to getting the room. I asked for a change, they were unable to accommodate. So sleeping was an issue. But rather close to Scottsdale and ASU, so driving around was easy.

I got 3 rooms and in every one the air or phone was broken

The WiFi does not work, no cable or channels on tv and room phone is not connected

Clean room, nice helpful staff. the wi-fi would go out every 5019 minutes all evening and all morning. made it impossible to do any work. called the desk several times and they apologized but were unable to do anything. if you require wi-fi i would consider staying elsewhere. also the pool was supposed to close at 10pm and at 11:15 families with screaming kids were still out and about. The spotty and nearly inoperative wi-fi is a deal breaker for me.

The wifi constantly dropped and would only work near main building. Condition of hotel was not great. Staff was friendly

The staff was incredible, the breakfast was great clean and a good variety of items and juices coffee was great tasting. Thank You.If I decide to visit again I will reserve at this same hotel

It took over half an hour to check in, the first room we were booked in had not received housekeeping services between stays. The sheets, towels, etc. had not been changed and the whole room smelled like urine. We requested a second room and had to wait again to check in yet again. The ice machine was not working either

The staff was very rude to me. Specially the manager Alma K. They extort you to pay a $200 deposit for one $70 night. It’s very bad that Expedia doesn’t warn you of this borderline scams. Don’t go to this nasty place.

On Sept 28th, we arrived at hotel about 3:30pm; however, the room not ready until 6:00pm. The manager told us they are short of people to clean rooms. Another 3 groups of family were waiting at the front desk. Besides that, there were not enough towels in bathroom, when I called the front desk, the guy told us to bring the towel to our room, but he never showed up. Overall, inefficient management and bad service.

The place is well kept and decent. My family and I vacation here every so often. The staff each time is unpleasant upon check-in theres attitude and a sense of annoyance. Its been nine days since my deposit has not refunded. Lesley tried to help but ended with frustration. There wasn't anything brought up on the room or linens within the seven day period. Please return my refund.

Latino Guy/Concierge was NOT helpful at all, very unwelcoming and down right RUDE to be honest, ad this was after several hours of driving coming in from Fresno, CA. I got to my room and immediately realized how dilapidated, dated, dirty, dingy, banged up room I was assigned to. Called the front desk to ask for a hand towel and shampoo as it was clearly missing from the bathroom; 30 minutes passed by, nothing, 45 mins. goes by, I find one of the cleaning ladies and had to go up the second floor to ask for a hand towel and shampoo and was immediately told that there is NO shampoo, nor is there hand towels available... she finds a colleague of hers and asks for the same essential amenities and low and behold, still nothing... when asked when they would have some available, I had to prompt them to say tomorrow, meaning they had no clue when they were going to get another shipment of hand towels and shampoo. Packed up my stuff, went to the front desk to let the Latino Guy know to CANCEL my stay and he better not charge me anything due to the fact that it has been almost an hour by this time that I asked for a hand towel and shampoo to no avail... he immediately deflected the issue to the cleaning ladies and I told him it want their fault since they did NOT have the essential items to give to me, hence they never went to my room. He was NEVER apologetic, no sense of remorse, no common sense to offer any type of consolation. Basically he sucked at his job!!!

I don't normally leave reviews, but my experience at this hotel needs to be documented so other guests will be aware. Upon arrival at the hotel, it smelled of weed. Once I was in my room, I inspected the bed. Not only was it dirty, but the sheets had clearly not been changed from the previous guest. I reported this to the front desk, and they apologized and promptly issued me a new room. Well, the new room also had its issues. Sometime after midnight, I heard a constant drip. I assumed it was the shower or sink and tried ot ignor it for the remainder of the night. It was impossible to ignore the dripping in the morning as the water seemed to increase. The emergency sprinkler system had leaked in my SECOND room, leaving a puddle of water on the floor. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, and they apologized again. I requested a refund, either partial or total, and was informed that the manager would be in contact with me on Monday. That was two weeks ago. I have called three times and still have not heard from anyone. This hotel experience was one of the worst stays.

It would be nice if it was gated but very accommodating and greatly appreciated the upgrade when sold out upon arrival

Next to the airport. That wasn't said on the website. Fan made a noise sounded like stuck paper.

Easy access and close to the airport, just what I needed for 1 night.

Pleasant hotel near Sky Harbor Airport. Plenty of room and clean. Pool open and clean. Lots of food choices in the area. All good!

The place in general was really not bad, the rooms were very spacious. It was a little run down, but not too bad. The only bad thing I can really say is, don't get any rooms in building A, unless you are a deep sleeper. Building A is right next to the road, and you hear every loud car or motorcycle driving by.

US Marshall’s showed up ! Arrested a wanted felon. Using fentanyl in their room. Major take down. Brought back memories of my tours. Hotel is adjacent to the flight path to the airport - not indicated on their web page. Good luck enjoying the pool or hot tub with a plane l flying by every 20-30 seconds during the day . They start around 8 and go all day. Found homeless folks eating in the breakfast area. I went out daily for walks - didn’t have a fitness room as they had advertised. Rooms are clean. Enjoy the pinesol smell. Friendly staff though. If you’re into it , 2 strip joints within walking distance of the hotel.

The hotel is nice. Lots of guest slamming doors. People smoking near the pool. It's a smoke-free property. The hotel is located near major shopping in Tempe, close to ASU. Nice place to stay.

Convenient location to airport and restaurants. Easy check in / out. Front counter staff was good.

Coming into the hotel to check in, all we saw were cop cars driving around the building multiple times. At time of check in, it was more like we interrupted the guy at the check in desk. Not friendly. Breakfast was blame with no flavor and the machines for juices and hot water/ coffee were out. Not really recommending this location.

No towels in room. Breakfast late; no plates and no cups for hot coffee. Juice machine not working. Overall the facility is very attractive, but the management of this Best Western leaves much to be desired. I have had very good experiences at other Best Westerns, and will continue to consider Best Western in future travel plans, however, I will never stay at this facility again. Best Western Corporate leadership needs to thoroughly review the management of this facility. Recommend a “secret traveler” or equivalent, to obtain effective insight into what travelers experience at this facility.

Breakfast was really good! We really liked the options

Place was decent for a one night stay. There were a few problems with the bathroom. We only had one set of towels for the two of us and the towel racks were clear across the room from the tub and sink. Other than that the place was fine. Room was clean, bed ok. Breakfast was nice, scrambled eggs, sausage, a waffle iron, cereals, muffins, etc.

Food was late out and the following day to replenish it took a long time. Crew and I didnt have time to wait.

The room was clean. But the light outside the hotel was so bright that it kept the room quite lit at night, despite closing the curtains. I like my room dark when I sleep. Also, the air conditioning was quite loud and would wake us up whenever it would start up. The complimentary breakfast was good but on our second morning, the breakfast lady did not show up so we didn't get breakfast. We had to pay to get something elsewhere so a discount on the room price would have been nice but they did not offer that. So if you depend on that breakfast to start your day, be prepared for a plan B.

Dirty furniture in room, dirty pair of socks on the table by pool, one bath towel, none by pool, terrible powdered eggs, no coffee (maker wasn’t working in room and no coffee made or working brewing machine at breakfast, fruit was nearing rotten. It was rather shocking really. Staff is really terrific though. You should provide them with better facility to work in.

Really appreciated Roberts service. Not a bad stay. And you can make your own waffles.

The room was fine, stay was fine. The included breakfast was not great. Powdered eggs, microwave bacon, juice machine and coffee machine were out of order, bananas were all brown, little tangerines looked bad. I didn't expect a lot, but some effort would have been nice. Hubby enjoyed the waffles, though. Have definitely had better at a Best Western.
