Very convenient for mainline station: for me, less than five minutes walk away. Quiet inside and out, no disturbed nights. Straight walk into the centre of the 'old' town a leisurely 10 - 15 minutes to one of the bridges over the Elbe, passing along the way shops and places of interest; then, should one wish, straight into the 'new' town and it's very attractive plane tree lined boulevard. Hotel was clean and attractive inside with a small gym which I used twice in my short stay. Reception staff helpful and efficient. I did not eat not drink at the hotel. Would recommend and stay there again. I found Dresden itself a wonderful city.

Grundsätzlich alles soweit okay, aber 2 Dinge gehen m.M. Nicht: Der Check in war wie bei Ryanair… alles kostet extra (Frühstück ok, aber denn der Parkplatz mit 21€, die Sauna mit 7,50€ und echt lächerlich wurde es beim Bademantel für 2,50€). Kann man so machen hat aber nicht den Stil eines edlen Hotels in einer Innenstadt. Darüber hinaus: vermutlich Schimmel in der Dusche. Siehe Bilder. Aber um mit dem Positiven abzuschließen: top Frühstück schönes Zimmer und nette Aussicht.

I loved the thoughtfulness for our dog. The room and facilities were good. My only "complaints" are that the internet kept dropping and the room cleaning was ok but surfaces weren't cleaned well and no one refilled the shower wash. Other than that, were had a good comfortable stay and would stay here again.

Wunderschönes, modernes Hotel Zimmer mit Glasdusche mitten im Zimmer, auch interessant, fand ich super, und Bodenlange Fenster mit tolle Aussicht auf die Pragerstraße, Weihnachtsmarkt und auf die Stadt Dresden. Alles sehr sauber. Frühstück spitze, alles was das Herz begehrt, sogar live cooking. Mitarbeiter super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The Occidental Dresden is in a great location. Only a short walk from the main train station and surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants. The Christmas markets and old city are also close by. Rooms at the hotel are on the small side but the bathroom was functional and a good size. The biggest issue we had was the poor quality of the pillows. They were awful, no support whatsoever. Breakfast was very good.

This hotel are undergoing constructionwork. And have some issues with outside noice, cars, trams and trains, not to mention the square outside. If you need sleep, and are a light sleeper, choose another hotel. The staff are friendly, the morning buffet are excellent, and it is close to the mainstation.

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut direkt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs und mitten in der Fußgängerzone. Es ist ganz modern eingerichtet aber im Detail sieht man schon etwas das alter des hotels. Die tische und nachttische weisen deutlich wasserflecken. Das System mit dem tausch der zimmerreinigung gegen getränk sollte vom pullman noch einmal überdacht werden. Es ist völlig unklar wie und wo man die Gutscheine bekommt. Bessere Erklärung beim check in wäre toll. Und es ist absolut blöd wenn man zu zweit im Zimmer übernachtet und man bekommt einen Gutschein für 1 Getränk. Das geht gar nicht. In jedem anderen hotel bekam jede Person im zimmer ein freigetränk.

Wir wurden darauf hingewiesen, dass unsere Zimmer bezugsfertig sind und für 30€ vor der Check In Zeit genutzt werden dürfen. Für wenige Stunden einen Betrag zu fordern ist unfassbar. Ich bin häufiger in Hotels unterwegs und habe ein solches Prozedere noch nicht erlebt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut.

Wunderschönes, modernes Hotel Zimmer mit Glasdusche mitten im Zimmer, auch interessant, fand ich super, und Bodenlange Fenster mit tolle Aussicht auf die Pragerstraße, Weihnachtsmarkt und auf die Stadt Dresden. Alles sehr sauber. Frühstück spitze, alles was das Herz begehrt, sogar live cooking. Mitarbeiter super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Great location, with lots of vegetarian-friendly restaurants within 50m—guests should go to any of them rather than the hotel restaurant. Room design sacrificed function to make the room seem bigger than it was—a giant mirror where the tv should be, and a glass box for a shower stall. The tiny room with the toilet, the open sink area, and the shower all had bright lights on a single switch. Room was an ok size, so seemed pointlessly difficult.

Excellent location and high quality hotel. Appointments felt upscale and the glass shower with rain shower head was wonderful after a long day of travel. The bed was a bit firm but that just personal preference. Quiet at night. Breakfast is worth the price.

The Occidental Dresden is in a great location. Only a short walk from the main train station and surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants. The Christmas markets and old city are also close by. Rooms at the hotel are on the small side but the bathroom was functional and a good size. The biggest issue we had was the poor quality of the pillows. They were awful, no support whatsoever. Breakfast was very good.
