Only thing that wasn’t great was I had a hornets nest starting on the balcony and needed to contact the front office when I left for the day to remove it. They may have sprayed it but it was still there when I returned to my room. Also their parking doesn’t allow for trucks and that information was not communicated to me.

Parking was clearly marked for hotel guests and elevator went directly into the lobby. Room was clean and bed was SO comfortable. Starbucks in the lobby fronts onto Sparks St which is pedestrian only and very easy to navigate. Hotel was a quick walk to Parliament buildings. Front deak staff gave us a coupon for a free starbucks drink when we checked out which was a nice touch! We would definitely stay here again.

The only good is, it is close to major attractions of the city. Room toilet is too small. No water kept inside room. You have to either buy it or go to a different floor to fill your own water bottle. Parking too confusing and paid.

I was in one of the unrefurbished rooms and got a static shock off every light switch, plug and door handle. The rrom is dated, but the bed was comfy. The gym and pool facilities were great.

The Gym and the swimming pool are outstanding. However, the kids play room and the activity room, which has the tennis table, billiard table and foosball table, are dated. Having those facilities makes this hotel very attractive for families with children.

I had high expectations for the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon checking into our room, I found hair all over the bed, which was completely unacceptable. Traveling with my five-month-old son, I had no choice but to carry him while dealing with the hassle of changing rooms. This was an inconvenience I did not expect from a hotel of this caliber. The staff was accommodating in offering a new room, but such basic cleanliness issues should not happen in the first place. A hotel should prioritize hygiene, especially when it comes to bedding. Given this experience, I would think twice before staying here again.

The service was excellent. The staff were so polite and helpful, I was really impressed. Parking can be a pain because it’s downtown but that’s to be expected. The bathroom was not cleaned, unfortunately. We stayed here after a very long 2 day flight itinerary from South America and we were so tired that we didn’t make a fuss, but I expected better. The beds were very comfortable though!

The location of this hotel is terrific for visiting the tourist attractions of Ottawa. The beds are small (Canadian Double), would have been a better stay if the beds had been at least queen size.

Very comfortable and recently renovated room! Felt very clean and smelled great. We had a view of the Parliament Buildings from our room on the 24th floor. Only negative to say was at around 9ish on Saturday morning there was some drilling and banging that sounded very close to our wall that woke us up. Wouldn’t normally be an issue but we were at a concert the night before and out late so were trying to sleep in. Other than that we were very happy with our stay and the Starbucks attached to the hotel was a plus.

Das Hotel ist total in die Jahre gekommen. Keine Annehmlichkeiten (Wasser etc.) Wollten ein Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken und haben was im 8 Stock von 25 erhalten. Bad eine Katastrophe, 1 Licht ging nicht, verostete Leuchten und Rost in der Badewanne. Teppich total alt.

The hotel is extremely dated and showing a lot of wear. I’m sure it was very nice in the seventies. We booked a room for 3 people and were given two double beds, I admit I hadn’t thought to confirm but my expectation was that for three people the beds would be at least queen size, as I have experienced at most other hotels in the area. We had some issues with the room, but I have to point out the staff was excellent and worked hard to make it right. So in total, go for the kind, helpful staff and the very central location downtown near pedestrian streets and restaurants, do not go for decor or general appearance and comfort. The bathroom floor was heated though!

I have stayed at this property in the past and I am a Bonvoy elite member. I found the reception burgers not welcoming and this is not the first time that this is happened to me. I’m a frequent traveler to Ottawa and Marriott is one of the last places I stay at because of both the lack of warmth of the reception folks as well as the rooms that are extremely outdated and look like they are straight out of the 70s. I would definitely recommend considering neighboring hotels if you have the choice and the budget.

Overall average hotel stay. Nearly turned away at check in because of difficulties accepting my payment method for the security deposit and offered no help or solutions. Just told us to find another hotel. Thankfully we had a friend in town able to help us, and we had a decent night but the service we received made the experience poor.

The Marriott Hotel on Kent Street is in an ideal location. It’s easy to walk to various destinations, and there’s a bus stop conveniently located just on the corner. Parking was hassle-free, which was a big plus. I arrived earlier than the standard check-in time, and the staff accommodated me with an early check-in. To make the experience even better, they offered me a complimentary Starbucks coffee while I waited briefly. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help whenever needed. Service and food was not great at Spin. We waited a while. Food was ok. I felt price was high for what we ate. I was charged extra for a cot that was very uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. It is difficult to park and check in if you have someone with a disability. I was trying to bring up the luggage and my mother and they were calling the room asking me to move the car. I had parked temporarily where they told me to and was trying to get checked in as quickly as possible. I felt rushed and frazzled right from the start. They should have also notified guests that fireworks would go off right beside the hotel. Just so we were aware. Scared us. Will stay somewhere else next year.

The location of this hotel was great. Close to parliament hill and right next to the O-Train. Staff were very friendly, and restaurant was great for breakfast. The rooms were a bit date but very clean. We loved the multiple elevators it meant there was never a wait!

This is one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at. We weren’t even mad they were doing work on the windows while we were there. Parliament Hill is a stone throw away and a beautiful walk. The view from our balcony was gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed that you could stream from your own service accounts on the tv. Room service was really nice too, the menu was great and came to our room very promptly. Highly recommend

We booked this hotel specifically because of its revolving restaurant, which was highlighted as a key feature in the Expedia listing. To secure the reservation, we chose a non-refundable option. However, upon arrival, we were very disappointed to learn that the revolving restaurant was closed. There was absolutely no mention of this closure on Expedia or in the hotel’s description at the time of booking.
