The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon

This is an exceptional hotel! The rooms have all the amenities and more. The staff are super helpful! Gorgeous reception area and steakhouse restaurant, gift shop had everything and more.

We stayed at The Grand Hotel due to the proximity to the Grand Canyon as well as the on-site amenities. The property itself has a warm, rustic, cozy-cabin vibe. I really liked the high ceilings and open floor plan. Beyond the front desk is a fireplace and sitting area with couches and places to play board games. There’s ample private seating and separate areas that allow for additional coziness and privacy. There’s an on-site gift shop with lots of Grand Canyon items as well as art pieces and pottery from local artists. While we didn’t visit the “saloon,” it looked well-stocked, and the staff seemed very friendly. We dined at the on-site restaurant and the food was delicious, and the wait staff were all very friendly and attentive. Back at the room, the room accommodated my husband, daughter and me nicely. Everything was in excellent working condition, and the beds were comfortable. The only negative side to our stay—the floors looked like they all needed a good sweeping throughout the hotel. Otherwise, the bathrooms and other hotel areas were clean. I would definitely recommend The Grand Hotel to my friends and family :)

The lounge was phenomenal but the pool area and hot tub were on the smaller side for as big as the hotel is.

Plenty of parking, lots of alternative things to do in the area and very close to the park entrance. Very nice hotel with a wonderful saloon and separate restaurant.

4pm check-in time with a $40 penalty for early check-in is a rip-off and off-market. Small freight elevator servicing a big hotel is unacceptable. No water in vending machines during a heatwave is not good. But the staff were nice...

Had a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable and included a microwave, mini refrigerator and safe. Wonderful hotel lobby with comfortable seating and fireplace. Overall hotel condition is excellent with ample parking. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. We stayed in the suite on the 3 floor and it far exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect room for us after our travels. The restaurant was very relaxing, aesthetically appealing and the food was very good we ate there for dinner 2 nights and breakfast buffet 2 mornings. The gift shop was nice and had a good selection of souvenirs etc.It was in walking distance to the shops and visitor center in town. A herd of elk even came to graze on the lawn at night. We only went to the pool and hot tub one night. It was very clean and well chlorinated (a little too much for my eyes but it’s also inside so I assume that had something to do with it). The hot tub was nice but small if there was a lot of people thankfully it was pretty quiet the night we went. We would definitely stay there again if we visit the area again.

The hotel looked very nice. We stayed in room 161, the carpet was so dirty we kept or shoes on all the time,rhe shower curtain smelled up the room and the room had a lot of dust,In the morning our phone's were covered. Room was across in a very loud area.

The rooms were clean and comfortable . The whirlpool was not very clean

Room was dirty upon our arrival at 9:30 PM. Only option was a much smaller ADA room with a very strong odor in the bathroom. They sent someone in to clean our original room while we waited so we stayed there. But, everything in the room was dusty and the coffee mugs provided were dirty! Also breakfast buffet was meager and poorly stocked.

Overpriced. Off season and told they couldn’t switch us to a room with king size bed when there was availability. Mold around bathtub.

The carpet in my room was nasty

The hot tub circumference needs a good scrub down. The property was beautiful, and i enjoyed my stay very much!

Overall, the hotel is nice, great area, but at $300 a night you expect it to be clean. Our room smelled musty, or moldy when we got there. I was trying to find out where it was coming from, I thought it was the air conditioner, but found out the next morning that it was the shower curtain….. it smelled up the whole room when the door was shut.

Great location! The rooms were small but had everything we needed, and most importantly - clean and comfortable!!

Hotel rooms need update! Restaurant needs expanded menu. Public spaces nicer than tooms

Our room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. I love the lobby! Great complementary coffee. My only complaint would be the curtains. The Solid curtains only closed halfway on each side. There were gauzy opaque curtains in the center of the window. It is daylight outside by 4:30am. Plus the lights from outside shined through the windows all night. Otherwise, nice hotel. Good Location.

Overrated and overpriced, not worth what we paid at all. The curtains in the room did not close so my husband and I had 0 privacy. It was not pleasant to be woken up at 6am from the bright light due to the curtains not closing. Do not stay here if you like to sleep in or if you like privacy in your room. Do not stay here if you don’t like paying an arm and a leg for a mediocre experience.

Great experience, however the t.v. Cable wasn’t working and No option for streaming apps that we could log into. We were also missing trash bags. At least in the bathroom for personal hygiene products. Besides that, everything was a great.

It would be nice if the rooms were another foot wider and two feet longer for a family of three. Loved all the products-lotion, shampoo and conditioner-very nice

Mattress was completely shot, sagging and leaning at a pitch twards the headboard made sleeping almost impossible. Toilet didnt flush properly.

No A/C, bed sheets were well worn and poor quality, tub has what looks like stab marks in it, paint chipping off wood surfaces everywhere, flashing lights from smoke dectors and lights from microwave kept me up. Sheets didn't cover bed all the way so it was awkward to sleep in. Customer service said since we booked here they can't do any refunds but it was the worst stay we have had in a long time and we travel very often. For $400+ a night I expect way better.

Upon check-in I did not feel welcomed to the property. Upon check-out I felt rushed out. I wasn’t even asked how may stay was. All I was told was I would receive an emailed receipt from my stay. A little bit of hospitality goes a long way!

It's a very noisy room. We didn't sleep very loudly all night. I drew the attention of the hotel staff at night. They did nothing. Absolutely mistake.

The accommodations were great. Clean, quiet, secure. I had an issue with my reservation (my mistake) and the staff bent over backwards to assist me.

Attitude at the desk was less than favourable. This is the low season and we were turned down a request for early check in . We had to come back after 4 pm. When we did, we were provided a room with no view except for a retaining wall when hotel was less than half full

Great location for visiting the GC! Also got a free trundle bed that’s an actual twin size and on a platform! Some hotels just provide a small cot that’s not very comfortable. All the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful!

We came after 2:00 pm. Check in strictly at 4:00pm, people in line waiting to check in. First time experiencing this.

Great Location for the Grand Canyon. 2 mins from the entrance. The lodge is beautiful.

It was a short overnight t ok see the Grand Canyon. The one disappointment was that it wasn't clear that the hotel was outside the National Park. It was a 15 mins drive into the park entrance and a 30-minute wait to get into the park. I thought we had a hotel inside the park which would have saved us time on a short visit.

Very nice hotel near the Grand Canyon. The restaurant on property is lovely and food is great! Shout out to Cadence for a great dinner service. If ever i should visit the Grand canyon again I'll be stay here.

For $370 a night for a standard room, I expected functioning amenities. At the gym and by the pool, all of the water re-fill stations had no filter light activated and no refrigeration active. When I asked, a very snippy Emily said “our water here is perfectly good anyway.” The refrigerator in the room didn’t work so I discovered my dairy free milk and food was now warm. The hot tub was caution taped off and the much smaller than pictured pool area smelled over-chlorinated. I sought a larger jug of water or feminine products in the store, but found only made-in-China Native-American souvenirs, Grand Canyon water bottles and T-shirts. I asked the woman at the store counter if there’s a different shop in building for traveler’s needs? “There’s plenty of stores up the road.” She then pointed me to one side of a turning kiosk with medications. “I must need coffee,” I thought, since this was all before 9 am. So I waited ten minutes at the “please wait to be seated sign” in the restaurant. Finally a guy comes over and says good morning but just stands there. “Can I be seated?” “Oh, you want to be seated?” I asked if there were any non-dairy milks available for coffee. “Half and half and milk.” But they’re clearly counting on the fact that they’ve got you stuck here. So I had to get food for others, head back down and see a person walking away from the “wait to be seated sign” and another man still waiting. He eventually gives up. Resulting food was mediocre.

This place is very nice! Friendly responsive staff. Nice relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is excellent for dinner and adequate for breakfast, though a few more menu options would be appreciated. The room was decorated nicely and clean. I didn't hear my neighbors even once so it felt private. The bed could be a little better quality and the towels seemed heavily bleached so they were slightly scratchy. Over all the room was nice.

all staff were incredible, with the exception of the dining room/lounge. No one told us we needed reservations for the mostly empty dining room. We were seated in the lounge (party of 3) and told we could only have two menus. Ordered bowls of chile and a salad. After 50 minutes we asked the waitress, who never checked on us, where our food was. We were told that they ran out of chili and were making more. Really they can make chili that fast? 1 hour and 10 minutes later we were served ice cold chili. Then Luke warm chili. The dining room manager and the waitress were then involved. He was an absolute idiot, she was not much better. Great place if you eat somewhere else.

The restaurant was outstanding!

Very clean hotel. Dinner & Breakfast at the Steakhouse onsite were both good. VERY convenient to the South Rim gate for the Grand Canyon. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is overall very nice, though a few small details show it’s starting to age and could use a little TLC—for example, the caulking around the tub and showerheads, as well as some visible extra wiring in the hallway ceiling. The on-site restaurant is good but very expensive, and with limited dining options in the area, it can feel like one of the only choices. Still, it’s a comfortable and pleasant place to stay.

Canyon Steakhouse was terrible, but everything else was fantastic
