This is an older style property that has some advantages over more modern places. The location is good - only a 15 minute walk to the waterfront, and even less to the bus interchange and the main shopping and eating locations. The room is basic but comfortable. A plus is the kitchenette with microwave and hotplates. A minus is the absence of WiFi in the room. Overall, this place is good value.

Very affordable, well set out, loved the kitchenette, beds very comfortable, sheets & towels changed regularly, pool was lovely, cool & clean. Staff were friendly and tried to resolve issues. The laundry was very accessible and the machines worked well. Location was very central, but in a quiet part of town. Beautiful sunrises from the balcony. Parking was a bit tight, but good to have. Wifi had some issues. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you.

The fit out was tired, shower screen cracked, taps ill fitted and entry door lock was loose. Pool had tiles falling and breaking away and pot plant surrounding pool are dead. Communication and admission was excellent as were the admission and departure staff who were extremely helpful. Street noise in my unit was loud on the Saturday night of my stay, but I suppose it is a compromise seeing the great CBD location.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to sleep at night while I attended a conference during the day, so Luma Luma was great. I could prepare my own breakfast, room was clean and felt secure, staff were polite and efficient, swimming pool was very pleasant way to cool off, and I was glad I could open the door to the balcony which is often impossible these days when everyone is using air conditioning and afraid of being broken into. Thanks

They did an excellent job keeping clean and maintained. This property is down town with excellent breakfast and lunch options right down stairs. Dinner was an easy walk to some very good meal options. Only WiFi available was at the office. Water got warm but not hot.

Very functional studio apartment in convenient location in central Darwin. Many good restaurants nearby. It was easy to check-in in the middle of the night. Only small criticism is the somewhat dirty toilet and changeroom in pool area which was being used as a cleaning storage room.

Luma Luma is not new or modern, so is more affordable than more modern accommodation. It has parking and is in a convenient location, close to shops and dining. The rooms have a small kitchenette which is useful. Staff are helpful and accommodate people on flights arriving after midnight. It's also not far from the coach stop if you need to catch the Greyhound coach or other buses.

Luma Luma Apartments is in an excellent location; just a short walk to the Smith Street Mall and the Waterfront. So many fantastic restaurants and pubs are within walking distance too. The hotel is by far the cheapest in the area. Unfortunately you get what you pay for as the rooms are dated and not the cleanest. We also found it to be noisy at night time and there were a few "shady" characters hanging around. This hotel would suit travellers on a budget who don't intend to spend much time in the room (i.e. just for sleeping).

Accommodation is very basic. Rooms are dated and some things need maintenance (e.g. broken handle on cupboard, noisy exhaust fan in bathroom, poor water pressure in shower). The price is by far the cheapest in that area and the location is fantastic. If you're on a budget and can look past some of it's faults, then this hotel is worth staying in.

Nothing fancy & dated but well maintained, prime location, bed is comfy, good for long stay, kitchen works, shower pressure is strong on top floor, only missing hairdryer but darwin doesn’t need it lol AND there is no wifi.

Location was good and the room was well equipped but unfortunately the bed and pillows were the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept in. The sunrise from the balcony was amazing and it is close to town and well priced. If they would just get some comfortable beds or even put on some mattress toppers this hotel would be fantastic.

Great place to stay - walkable everywhere and had a small kitchenette which is perfect for a week long stay. Staff were friendly and stayed open for our 1am check in. Definitely be back.

Firstly Check in was a long process, lack of staff, was kept standing at desk whilst only staff member was on phone discussing business matters with someone on phone. Where I was able to get a lot of information due to said staff member having their phone on speaker, hello to you as well. Then during late evening loud kids at pool until long after opening hours. Upon checkout I informed person at desk and received a nonchalant response.

Very affordable, well set out, loved the kitchenette, beds very comfortable, sheets & towels changed regularly, pool was lovely, cool & clean. Staff were friendly and tried to resolve issues. The laundry was very accessible and the machines worked well. Location was very central, but in a quiet part of town. Beautiful sunrises from the balcony. Parking was a bit tight, but good to have. Wifi had some issues. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you.

Great place to stay - walkable everywhere and had a small kitchenette which is perfect for a week long stay. Staff were friendly and stayed open for our 1am check in. Definitely be back.

Luma Luma Apartments is in an excellent location; just a short walk to the Smith Street Mall and the Waterfront. So many fantastic restaurants and pubs are within walking distance too. The hotel is by far the cheapest in the area. Unfortunately you get what you pay for as the rooms are dated and not the cleanest. We also found it to be noisy at night time and there were a few "shady" characters hanging around. This hotel would suit travellers on a budget who don't intend to spend much time in the room (i.e. just for sleeping).

They did an excellent job keeping clean and maintained. This property is down town with excellent breakfast and lunch options right down stairs. Dinner was an easy walk to some very good meal options. Only WiFi available was at the office. Water got warm but not hot.

Very functional studio apartment in convenient location in central Darwin. Many good restaurants nearby. It was easy to check-in in the middle of the night. Only small criticism is the somewhat dirty toilet and changeroom in pool area which was being used as a cleaning storage room.

Luma Luma is not new or modern, so is more affordable than more modern accommodation. It has parking and is in a convenient location, close to shops and dining. The rooms have a small kitchenette which is useful. Staff are helpful and accommodate people on flights arriving after midnight. It's also not far from the coach stop if you need to catch the Greyhound coach or other buses.
