I paid double because it was during the Ashes Test match. The room was clean and functional. Parking undercover was great. Pretty much as I expected. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely staff , room was sunny, large and freshly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. There were very reasonably priced facilities for washing and drying clothes . We liked it so much we decided to extend our stay.

Really Impressed! Great value property. Super clean, neat and tidy. Easy to access and convenient to the City without being in the middle of the mess of the CBD. Car park is a tight squeeze for larger 4WDs and roof is low but street parking is an option. Will definitely be staying again.

Very noisy guests around midnight, stairwell not enclosed - this contributes to more road noise travelling making it noisy. Only has stair access no lift so not wheelchair friendly. With stairwell not enclosed halfway was an icebox first thing in the morning

The room was nicely renovated (looked exactly like the pictures online), exceptionally clean and the free easy parking was convenient too. The man who checked me in (didn't catch his name!) was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The bed was also very comfortable. The only downside is, it is on a main road near the Pineapple Hotel so can be a bit noisy at all hours. Having said that, it is the first motel I've stayed at where I haven't been woken by people slamming their room doors closed first thing in the morning. I would stay again should I be in the area.

I had 3 wasps 5 coach roaches come into the room, to prevent this a seal around the door entry frame with mitigate any further pests. Also the hinges are come off the door and I had to lift the door upwards in order to lock it. For room #16

The room was full of ants including on the bed sheets. We left the room right seay. There was no one to talk to since the reception closed already at 5:30 pm. The hotel refuses to refund. A clear NO GO!

Staff were great, the chair in my room should be thrown in the bin- black office desk chair covered in white stains?!?!?! Older style property but no matter the age of a property it's not hard to make sure its clean!

There was no lift and my room was on the second floor and the carpark was in the basement so it was quite the trip up and down. There was also no bedside lighting so you had to turn off the lights then make your way to the bed in the dark. The rooms are spacious with a seating area and a TV but the curtains weren't full blackout and nor was the bathroom door.

Hotel does look a tad old from the outside and the hallways inside. However the room I stay in had just had a beautiful refurbishment ultra modern with kitchenette and 137cm flat screen television. Well worth its $187per night close to several eating options and a pub. All up it was a great place to stay while in town for some medical appointments

We liked the very helpful and very pleasant lady and her assistant at checkin the bedding was way above what we expected and the shared kitchen with the tray and fridge with help youself food left by others was amazing!, Bottom line on seeing the place we thought well one night and were gone after the service and the great nights sleep we feel it is a hidden gem and reserved it for our return to Brisbane.

Not good for infant, very noisy, no sounds proof. Car park is very small, if you get the first park you might not be able to get out because someone might park behind you and no way out. Room is ok, not quite what it advertised.

I really enjoyed my stay at the City Star Lodge. The location is great - short walk to the foot bridge over the river to the city. Parking was easy and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here during a family visit in Brisbane. Location of City Star lodge was very convenient being close to Southbank and other attractions/restaurants. Staff were also extremely friendly!

Have stayed at this hotel twice now to ver the past 3 weeks as I have been coming to town for medical reasons. The hotel is close to the Greenslopes Private Hospital where my treatment is. Hotel is close to a subway and excellent fish and chip shop plus the Pineapple hotel all within less the 500m or if you wish you can cook for yourself in a kitchen that is provided within the hotel. Hotel has safe gated car parking and the rooms have all had a great make over to bring them upto a better 2024 standard. And the pool is well kept There was a problem last stay with the plumbing with a burst pipe but management sent a text to all guests to inform them of any water outages while it was being fixed. Overall I rate the hotel a decent 4 stars and will be staying there again when i am next in Brisbane for my medical treatments

This was my 4th stay within a month due to visiting the Greenslopes Private Hospital for medical treatment. The stayed in a studio queen and the room is very tastefully decorated with a super soft bed Lots of dining options nearby with Macca’s KFC Subway, One fish 2 fish or the Pineapple hotel with $22 steak all with 500m Extra thumbs up to the staff who found I had left my electric toothbrush charger in my room and rang me and then forwarded it to me via post. I will be staying at this hotel again next time I am in Brisbane for medical treatment. City Star Lodge is a little gem and the hotel owners are putting their money back into it doing up the rooms.
