Friendly staff. Hotel maybe a little tired but a good base for skiing holiday. An 8 min walk from the Town centre and a little longer to the ski lift. For some reason the hotel shuttle did not go to courmayeur ski lift but only to Dolonne lift.

The Spa is the main reason we booked the hotel. No where on the Expedia page does it say they charge 20 euro per person for use. In the end we stayed away. Hotel is old, but good location. View is unbeatable.

Don't be fooled by the photos of the spa, there is an extra charge of EUR20 per person, you need to make a reservation, and it closes at 8pm. The room had beams in the ceiling, which made the room to be effectively 5.5ft high, my husband (6ft) could not walk around without bending... Breakfast was disappointing with a cheap coffee machine, vending machine juice station and below average pastries. We stay in the town every year and there are plenty of 2-3 star hotels in the town that offer much more comfortable room, better breakfast with waiter/waitress, and a complimentary sauna for half the price. There is also a separate charge to use the parking but you have to take out the car at 11am which is not possible if you are skiing.

Gulvene er veldig dårlige og har mye fuktskader. Renholdet var dårlig, med masse hår fra tidligere gjester osv. Ikke ventilasjon så man må sove med vinduet oppe, og man sover da dårlig med all trafikk. En person i resepsjonen var veldig hyggelig og servicevennlig, også i baren men i frokostsalen var noen av dem langt fra servicevennlige og ble sure når man ga beskjed om mangel på vann.

The hotel is....ok. It's just ok. I was a ski trip for me, my wife and my 2 teenage children. We had a quadruple room with a mezzanine floor above. It wouldn't pass UK health and safety for sure. Incredibly narrow rickety staircase, the electrics were horribly old, most plug sockets didn't work. The room is beyond basic, we just had to accept it as a place we came to sleep after skiing. It's a base, and that's about it. What I would say is it was immaculately clean, with the room thoroughly cleaned every day, it's just that the room itself was exhausted. Location of the hotel is ok, a 5 minute walk into the centre of Courmayeur. Breakfast was just about ok. Hotel is a very clean, well kept property. We had a nice triple room with balcony. Restaurant and bar area/common areas are well taken care of and available to all. Walkable area to other restaurants and shops. My only complaint is the road noise as it is on a major street, and our room was facing the street.

The staff were pleasant enough but the hotel was understaffed. Our first room was on the highway with poorly insulated windows and very noisy. The view out the window was literally of the highway panels. After our first sleepless night, the staff did change our room which was quieter but still a bit sad. A hall light outside of the bathroom was impossible to turn off and flickered all night. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The location is an easy walk to both the village and the ski area but nothing felt special, happy or appealing at this hotel. We left after 2 nights and were not reimbursed for the remaining 2 nights on the reservation.
