I stayed at this Hotel with family for 3 nights. We booked a balcony room which had nice river views. The room was spacious & clean. The best highlight of our stay was the spread of breakfast they offer. Rate it 5/5. The Hotel staff was awesome. The only reason i did not give the overall rating of 5/5 is because the Hotel room did not have an AC. It was very hot last week of June in Lucerne. Having an AC Hotel would have been better. The hotel room did have a fan & they offered us an extra floor fan too.

Location was perfect. Slightly away from the main pedestrian area but literally 3min walk. The hotel was extremely quiet, beds were comfortable, loved the duvets. Bathroom only has shower but very large & water pressure was perfect. Room was cleaned daily, towels replaced. Breakfast was great with all food items very fresh & constantly replenished. Limited parking spots available so make sure you let them know if you have a car. No air conditioning but it was fine as you can keep window open at night that’s screened so no mosquitoes will come in & overhead fan was a bonus.

Ubicacion perfecta, servicio inmejorale, muy buen desayuno, 3 plazas de parking del hotel, aunque hay otro público grande al otro lado del río. La habitación es amplia (era una triple), aunque no tenía armario con cajones o estanterías para colgar la ropa (sí unas cuantas perchas para colgar cosas). No tiene AA, tiene ventilador de techo y portátil (bueno), aunque por la noche baja la temperatura y con las ventanas abiertas se está bien. El aspecto de los pasillos puede parecer que esta más descuidado de lo que están las habitaciones. En resumen, buena opcion, excelente relación calidad/precio.

Fast check in and check out process. Quiet environment, and safe. Good view of the river. Has luggage storage availability after check out. Friendly front desk and dining staff. Pretty average breakfast options. Triple room was spacious and clean. Bus stop 'bruggligasse' very close by for bus line 9 that travels to the train station. Would recommend a stay here while in Lucerne.

When I go to Europe I look for safe neighborhood and clean. As I am not spending time in the room, I don't really care about amenities such as a pool, bar, etc. This hotel was good for the price but very bare bones. No air conditioning (which was not too bad in September) but there was no place to charge electronics (adapters did not fit in outlets) which is difficult in the 21sr century. Also, guests need to note that the reception desk closes at night so if you have an issue (we did NOT) it has to wait until morning. Location was excellent and walkable to everything including train station and meeting place for any excursions and very clean. Front door to building is locket at night.

The hotel was nice, very clean and updated, and in a fairly quiet location. The hotel was thoughtful in the planning of the room-- a fan was provided in addition to the built-in ceiling fan, extra and different weight blankets than what was already on the bed, black-out shutters, screened windows, and plenty of glasses. I would recommend this hotel.

We were thankful for the easy instructions on getting to our room after the reception desk closed. Huge must if your train runs late! The kitchen was in repair, so there was no breakfast, but croissants were delivered to our door each morning. Having the balcony over the river was lovely, and it was in a quiet enough area that there was no noise other than the sound of water at night. The bathroom was a little small and challenging to hold our essentials. The bed was ok, but not super comfortable. Loved the location and ease of walking from the train station.

Very clean, walking distances to most of the attractions, staff are very friendly and helpful!! If I have to say one thing I am not crazy about it, it’s the cover of the duvet, the wrinkled patterns of the cover makes me feel a little itchy at the beginning, but my skin is very sensitive, could be just my issue.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast included with room. Located slightly past the second wooden bridge so it is slightly outside of tourist traffic, so nice and quiet while still very walkable. Would return!

Good location, friendly and helpful reception staff and free breakfast. However……..we specifically booked this hotel and this particular room as the (only) photo from the balcony showed it having a view of the mountains, river, bridge and old town. We wanted to sit out with a bottle of wine as we were celebrating a special occasion. We were however given a room on the side of the hotel (see photo) facing a tall stone wall and only a side view of the river overlooking a large public car park and apartment blocks. To make matters worse there were 5 workmen repairing the wall just a few meters away which meant we couldn’t sit out. We were so disappointed and spoilt our special day. The lady on reception said she’d had quite a few similar complaints about this room. I am now pleased the photos have been updated showing the front and side views to prevent anybody else being misled but no apology was received from management, in fact he tried to say the new photos had always been there. Disappointing.

This was a wonderful stay. We enjoyed spending evenings on our balcony overlooking the River. The free breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our bed was comfy and the shower was a good size and easy to figure out. This hotel is located at the far end of old town, but it was very walkable. We loved the mill bridge and the Mühlenplatz area.

Older hotel. Pictures on Hotels.com were a bit deceiving. The rooms with much smaller. We paid almost $300 for a King room. We were put in what looked like a dorm room on the top floor with 3 twins (2 pulled together). They did move us- becauseit was stiffling- but new room was small and basic. Biggest thing to know- there is NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE HOTEL.They gave us a fan, but we were up all night. Breakfast was very nice. Service was good. Location was excellent!

Best stay for us across two other countries so far! Bed was comfy. Reception was very informative offering alot of sightseeing hints and tips. Breakfast included (alot of yummy options and best quality weve had over two other countries). Hotel also let us check in early (10am) 5*!

A reasonable price hotel with a big bathroom and toilet. Excellent and friendly reception who explained key places of interest around the hotel. Kudo to the reception staff. Flexible check in and luggage storage facilities. Good spread provided in the buffet breakfast and great service staff. Walking distance to the central train station or a short tram/bus ride to the hotel. A scenic river in front of the hotel and in the old town. Would recommend anyone to book the hotel, especially with such courteous, cheerful reception staff to welcome you and is always helpful with any enquiry. Would book this place again in Lucerne.

The staff was absolutely amazing. The room was great for the 3 of us; we had plenty of room. The only problem was leaving the sliding door open for the cool breeze - the bugs seem to find their way I will stay here again when I am back in Luzern.

What an amazing view!! The balcony view was so amazing, loved spending the morning watching the town wake up with such an extraordinary view. Breakfast was great and the staff was amazing. Upon check in they explained the city and self guided tour (no need for an organized tour in this town!). Lucerne was absolutely one of my favorite stops on the trip and this hotel played a big part in that.
