A lovely location with wood/lake walks directly adjacent to the hotel. The room was compact, but clean and well equipped with welcome gifts of water and biscuits. Bed good, shower reasonable, but TV a little small for the room size. Food in the evening and at breakfast was very good. All staff were ultra helpful, attentive and polite. Overall recommended.

Lovely bar and restaurant. Excellent food and service. Room was spacious and clean, a little dated but the overall price of our stay was so reasonable that we expected that. Would definitely use the hotel again.

It looked good on the website but disappointing execution at the premises. It’s been designed by someone without any knowledge of how a hotel works. The reception entrance is at the back if the house where you’d expected entrance to be. The bar in the conservatory lacked any atmosphere, all draught beers were off, and the design was flat and uninteresting. However the staff were trying their best and were friendly too. The grounds provided a nice place to walk.

This hotel is set in this most beautiful setting, close to Stanton Park. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful in themselves, but the backdrop of the Park makes this hotel outstanding in my opinion. The location is why I chose this hotel. My room was small but adequate, the staff were courteous and helpful; the food was good and the atmosphere generally was very relaxing; will return.

We booked our stay because the pictures of the property looked so beautiful. Our visit did not disappoint. I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hotel property and nearby hikes and properties. Wonderful stay.

Better than expected good price clean and impressive I travel all over the country delivering cars and we have 100 drivers always looking for affordable clean places to stay I have informed my office and on the strength of this stay we are setting up a drivers diary so we can all add our desirable stays for the other drivers to look at and not have to worry This hotel was the first on the list

Have stayed before and it was a lot better before. Room was a bit tired and fridge was missing, stains in bedding. I would stay again but this stay was for 1 night so didnt complain. If i stayed longer i would have requested a room change

When we arrived there was nobody at reception and we waited quite some time. I booked the superior double room which had a king size bed but our room was clearly not that, the bed was standard and we complained to reception who offered to show us other rooms but we were tired and didn't want to change again. Bar area was dirty, newly fitted bathroom not properly finished or cleaned and the whole property looked generally tired.

A few disappointing points. I had to change rooms due to a wasps nest and there being 6 wasps in my room. This was changed instantly. The first room I stayed in had a big chip to the bath enamel and there was rust in it. The decor is tired. The second room looked like it had had a refurb but the attention to detail was not there such as the fact that the drain on the shower is ineffective and the result was the bathroom flooded. The flush handle on the toilet is fitted upside down and you hev to swivel it to flush. There was also no hairdryer in the room. The hotel was lock at 11pm and I was not able to get back in due to there being no bell where the bell should have been. I had to telephone the hotel as there was nobody on reception when I banged on the door. When I was eventually let in there was a fake apology but it is like the lady was not bothered that I had been locked out. Nobody had told me that the door is locked at night and when I asked if that was the case I was told that it was sometimes the case.

The location is exceptional albeit accessed by a busy roads due to the business parks. There is no noise from this busy road. The property has had significant renovations whilst retaining the old areas of the Hotel. Standard Room is very small so for two people this would be a challenge.

Communication from certain staff members was very unprofessional receiving a lot of sarcasm and a lack of respect as a paying customer after booking for three nights. Took 40 minutes for our meal to come first night, many empty glasses out on the patio from the night before, the smell in our room we moved into the last night was awful, and room was 35 minutes late to be cleaned. Asked for a response to answer the lack of professionalism and after four days yet to receive one from the reception manager who was out right rude. Will not be spending a penny more at this hotel and wouldn’t recommend.

not enough staff let it down. we were there for a reunion and the staff that were their performed very well . Only one staff member was on after 10pm and they had to book people in, take room service and do the bar. We waited along time to served at the bar which was disappointing but not the members fault.

Reception staff was rude to our customers that we put in this hotel. Restaurant meal was poor and a foul smell in the room. Breakfast was not satisfactory for the cost. Service was ok but our guests were escorted to ensure a payment, not normal hotel behaviour. Will never use again for our international guests.

Hotel staff great. Hotel room great. Breakfast however was buffet style i didnt complain but should have. 0830 ish went to breakfast. Bacon cooked crispy but luke warm sat on the side.sausages cold beans cold eggs greasy fried and cold mushrooms cold. Hash brown cold fresh toms grilled but cold. £12.50 if i was in a mellow mood should of asked for money back.
