Trivelles Waterhall Country Gatwick Hotel & airport parking

-No staff on site past 11 pm -Shower didn’t work at all in the morning -Fire alarm went off twice with no one to resolve the issue -Can’t buy food or drinks at property

It's a little odd, but nice like staying in an old Aunties house. Bed was comfortable and clean. Checkin easy with friendly staff. Free parking. I chose the executive suite which I would not do again. The room door opens directly into a communal lounge and breakfast area. Luckily no one was using it, but would be very noisy and very uncomfortable if so. The room had a nice conservatory, but no internal doors. So you are only separated from the cold outside and aircraft noise by a plastic roof and a curtain. Would stay again at this pleasant hotel but would just book an upstairs standard room.

Not a great stay at this property. Room was nothing like it showed in pictures, paid extra for breakfast (basically cereal and toast). Other than checking in, no other staff member was seen on site the following morning. Had to pay £20 extra to check in after 11pm, it’s an airport area hotel (you should expect this!). Wouldn’t recommend staying here again.

Convinent for the airport, has a late check in.

Staff were friendly, room was very comfortable. Parking is actually included with your stay so you do not have to pay. Many restaurants a quick drive away.

I was very disappointed by this property. I reserved on Expedia as I like country hotels and this one was near the airport. Beauty is skin deep. The exterior was classic country and it is in a lovely country setting. The taxi ride from the airport was 30 pounds. It was after 3 pm check in but no one answered the locked door. Eventually someone arrived. He took me to my small room which was clean and adequate. It was under a sloping roof so only half was over the height of an adult. The hotel is DIRECTLY under the runway of Gatwick Airport and the planes taking off was endless. From the time of arrival until I left the next day I did not see any staff. There is no dining except for breakfast and it is some distance from Crawley or the airport. for a person without a car. The interior of the hotel is very basic in decor, unlike the exterior. I asked the hotel previously by email if they provided a shuttle to the airport. They replied they did. The do not. They gave me the name of a cab company. I called it . The driver advised me that of the 22 pound fare, he had to give 7 pounds to the hotel. , otherwise he would charge 15 pounds. I have stayed in many country hotels but I would never recommend this one to anyone.

Big room, clean comfy bed. Broken dirty tiling in shower, poor water flow to shower,broken bathroom light switch, one bedside lamp with no shade, broken radiator valve ( I fixed this so I could sleep without the window open) Whole thing generally unloved. The poorest continental breakfast I can ever remember. I actually didn't see a soul in the morning. Despite claiming to have a bar and a restaurant there were neither. You can probably gather that I am unlikely to return

First time staying at Trivelles greeted by reception staff who were fantastic, very friendly knowledgeable and easy to approach. I would primarily return as the customer service i recieved was far better than i expected. Although so close to Gatwick it is incredibly noisy, but have booked my second stay due to mainly the staff, however i would expect it to be priced a little cheaper as there are no amenities and is very basic

Nice view from our window. Beautiful surroundings. Only heard one plane at night. However, there were silverfish in our bathroom sink and bath. Room needs painting- lots of scuff marks on the walls. Mould on the window.

Stayed at the executive suite... what a disappointment. Paid close to £100 for the night. First off, previous guests used soap and razor wwre left in the shower. Shaved hair still stuck to the soap. Areas of room in desperate need of a dusting... 3 spiders counted. A bug greeted me on the bed.. think its a silverfish but thought those were much smaller. Bugs and spiders i understand, but the bed had previous guests hairs on the duvet.. the duvet cover had blood stains. Room has 5 sets of powwr sockets, 2 by the bed... the two by thr bed dont hage any power... fuses blown perhaps? One of the others has signs of a plug shorting and burning. Dining chairs are wonky... someone hasnt bothered to do the screws up properly....itd have taken what, an extra 5 mins? Such a small detail would have made a huge difference. Im itching all over just thinking about the room

Basic hotel but spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Fantastic location as only a few minutes from Gatwick and purple parking.

No Signal In the area, Over 15 dead flies all over the bathroom floor, 3 dead flies under the bed sheets. None of the plugs worked. Bear in mind guys, I paid almost £100 just for the 1 night. Completely disgusting. As I left the door at 6:30am to get to my car a few meters away, I walked passed a overflooding sewer manhole. Lets say I wont ever be going there again!

Stayed twice in the last couple of weeks. Idyllic location, rooms were extremely clean and staff were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again

Check in was fine, the young lady was pleasant/friendly. The room was fairly large but "tired". There was a small wardrobe. There were burn marks on the carpet, and black staining (possibly mould) on the skirting boards in the corner. The bathroom had an instantaneous electric heater for the shower. Some of the sealant was stained.blackbblack

So carpet was filthy, muddy footprints. Silver fish in shower tray and light fitting. No heat in the room, slept with light on. Disgusting, you have been warned... 😔

My room was not like the pictures shown at all. Bed was uncomfortable too. Very small room.

Very convenient for short stay. We did not know how to get the room heating to work but did find one of the small heat fans in one of their cupboards, which was quite helpful for one night. We could not adjust the water temperature in the basin and had to use cold water. But room did had a good TV and wifi to use. Overall i could rate it a 6.6 on 10.

Room was like a shoebox, you couldn’t even open the bathroom door it jammed against the bed, and trying to use the toilet you had to break your neck to sit on it, I’m only 5’7” and I don’t ever hit my head on anything but I felt like a giant in this room. How did this even pass fire regulations? It’s a claustrophobic hell hole, the hotel has no facilities either and is noisy as hell

This was my second stay at this hotel and I must say I was not impressed. As with my first visit my booking came as some what of a surprise to the reception, therefore my registration was delayed. Furthermore on this visit the Wi-Fi was down when I arrived and remained so for the duration of my three night stay. This may have been no fault of the hotel it's self however there no updates in this regard and was not offered any alternative or explanation. As this was a business trip Wi-Fi was essential and a consideration when I placed my booking.

The stay in general was okay. However, if reception is only open till a certain time, that kind of information should be passed on to guests instead of having them wait outside with no way to access inside or call whoever’s supposed to be at the desk. The room that was booked also did not match what was in the photos so that was a bit of a let down as well.

This hotel is very reasonably priced and convenient for a single nights stay before flying out of LGW. However its not good for multiple nights, their other hotel nearby is much, much better. That's why we switched for a 6 night stay. Poor sound insulation, no hallway carpets, close to the road, noise from aircraft. Guests departing at 4:00am.

Very hot room. There was a fan but it just blew the hot air around. Bed quite hard. Nice quiet area though.

It is very close to the planes coming in to Gatwick but there is good double glazing muffling the noise and it didn’t disturb us at all. Apart from that it is a lovely place surrounded by woodland and countryside for a good price with welcoming staff. We would definitely stay again.

In a nice location. Very quiet apart from the aircraft flying over, but they stopped during the night. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. We booked a double room but it was more like a small double as the bed wasn’t very big. That said, we would stay again.

Originally booked this hotel in a rush. Needed something close to the airport. But no one was on call 24/7 so we had to talk to a houskeeling worker to be able to store our bags. Ended up that we were at the wrong trivalles the whole time but the manager at the desk helped us out and thankfully had a room available. Great for a nights sleep, not for a long stay.

No problem with the staff, very helpful, or the room. Our only issue was that we had some time to kill, and the TV wasn't connected to anything, so couldn't watch it. Our helpful receptionist couldn't fix it either.

Our stay at Trivelles was perfect. We had a friendly greeting, our room was comfortable and clean and we had everything we needed. In a pretty location too, with a couple of really nice pubs nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay before we caught our flight the next morning - staff was so kind and helpful. We had no wifi and thought we were going to be late to check in as our fights were delayed but they were extremely helpful! Uber to the gatwick airport was around £20 and a taxi £25 which was a little more than we were expecting but of course this has nothing to do with the hotel if you knew how far away it is! Beds were very comfy and clean and the space is quiet!

The manager of this hotel very young man, he is nasty rude. Chase down the corridor, swearing, stating mess in room though it was an unmade bed told me it smells when the only thing smells is him cooking his food in the corridor.he was standing outside my room listening to me. Couldn’t go out the front door with him watching me. Although being a regular guest to both hotels he has refused me to stay again and I have done nothing wrong. The plugs was hanging out the wall. One room my foot fell through the floor. There was a bug crawling all over the bathroom floor and hairs was found in the bed. Check out being 11 but cleaners open doors and bang on doors way before this.

Did not bear any resemblance to the photos on the website. The property was tired, tatty and in need of a total refurbishment. There was only one member of staff on duty the afternoon of the day we arrived and the same person when we checked out. Totally disinterested and not helpful at all. We had paid for breakfast x3 on booking, but was told it didn’t show up on their records?? Total sham, certainly will not be recommending this place to anyone, very disappointing.

Lovely and quaint hotel. It was on a little countryside lane, and fully fit the English country picture you may have.

Always a good stay Very reasonable rates at this hotel Close to Crawley and Horsham as well as Gatwick Will use it again

I would not recommend this property. Rancid mold smell throughout, and the noise from planes flying very late into the night made for a very poor rest. Although it looks close to the airport, it's 22£ taxi fare away, so with the extra 44£, you can find better accomodations closer to terminals.

Convenient for early flight

A cheap and cheerful option when flying from Gatwick airport. A little of the main routes it was still easy to get into Crawley and to get to the airport in about 10 minutes. Was under the flight path of the airport but this was not a significant disruption. Would use again. (The car park was free to hotel guests)

Expensive to get a taxi from and return to the airport, cost more than the room.

The property is in very quiet area if you have own transport that will great if not need taxi Very good location if someboday needs quiet place to relax

A beautiful countryside and place to walk. Breakfast was very poor not worth paying for at all. Everything was cheap quality and tasted horrible apart from the yogurt. The lock on the door was not working and the carpet not clean

The hotel is fairly worn, feels cold and lacks any character for such an old building. Breakfast was ok but the continental selection was poor and limited. Fine for a quick stop over but wouldn’t recommend for any longer.

The room was tiny. To go in the bathroom you needed to manoeuvre yourself around the door it was so tight. I am not tall but my feet were ganging off the end of the bed. A streetlamp from the car park outside was shining directly into my room through the paper thin curtains. I wish I hadn't paid the extra £8 for breakfast included. What a rip off! Breakfast consisted of cheap sliced bread to make yourself toast although butter had run out. Plus a choice of cereals but the milk had also run out. Kettle to make yourself tea or cheap coffee granules again with no milk. No staff on hand in the dining area to replenish these items.

Great stopover country hotel! Very comfortable! Mini fridge in each room! But bring your own evening food! Excellent Breakfast only! Friendly & welcoming staff. Great value too!

Was once a classy hotel and room looks great but being now operated on a budget e.g cheapest loo paper ever, unable to give me any pasteurised milk (not UHT cartons) from a cuppa, And beware that breakfast is not-just continental but a make it yourself (eg kettle in the dining room). Disappointing for this once-lovely hotel
