Great pet friendly hotel located in central town, free parking in the back. Well equipped room, we appreciated the fan as it was quite warm. Very friendly staff, good food and plenty of breakfast options. Perfect for an overnight stay and close to exploring Sissinghurst.

Great staff always makes your stay more enjoyable and we certainly enjoyed our stay! They made a big fuss of our dog (Zeus) and made us cocktails that weren't on the menu. Great breakfast and good menu. A very lively bar as it seems to be the hub of the village, the only downside was our window was next to the kitchen extractor so we had a 7am wake up call each morning so avoid room 10 if you can!

Great food, great atmosphere, suitable location, ideal hotel for having your dog stay. Based on the age of the property, the upkeep of maintenance seems to be important to them. Stairs a little steep but plenty of character in the hotel and rooms. Great value for money.

If you want an authentic old English Hotel then this is for you. It was really old with oak beams everywhere but still clean. Pub seems to be the Hub of the village so also a good vibe. The village is really really quiet

Could be a bit slow serving breakfast. The car park was very small so unlikely to get in although there were other free car parks in the vacinity. Otherwise a very pleasing stay.

Old is expected but smelly, small and unclean is not. We were moved rooms without any hesitation. Water pressure advocates. Very friendly staff and food is good. Good breakfast. Just be careful what room you are given.

Lovely location, historic property and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Although the property needs a bit of tlc the rooms are spotlessly clean, beds comfortable and towels and bed linen first rate. Breakfast is certainly a cut above with great ingredients and perfect portions. We will certainly stay again.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. Feature room outstanding apart from a couple of peanuts on the carpet and a very small blood stain on the duvet! Food was cooked to order, slightly higher priced but good quality. All in all a pleasant place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff very friendly and helpful,food excellent, room spotlessly clean, would definitely return. Only issue for me with mobility issues was climbing into big bathtub with overhead shower and no grab handle! My fault should have enquired prior to booking! Cranbrook proved to be an excellent choice for visiting many places on my 'to do' list.

Cranbrook is a quaint town in Kent and the George is an institution,quintessential England.That is the main attraction for us that and the included Breakfast.It is a very old building and therein lies its charm but if you are of a fastidious nature probably not for you as it is a little careworn and in need of a serious makeover.Tired carpets,walls and doors in need of a repaint,poor soundproofing,baths with chipped vinyl .A great difference in room choice,definately go for deluxe

The room was clean and the bedding spotless alas no chairs to relax in and I was given a superior room but a booked a luxury room. The lounge bar although ready on the evening was closed during the day for some carpentry works The property was cold as was the room so sleep didn’t come easily. The windows condensated up and yes it was jolly cold The manager was helpful and kind but nevertheless the stay wasn’t comfortable

From the moment we walked into the reception, we were made to fill very welcome. All the staff are very friendly and make conversation with you and genuinely want to make sure you have a pleasant stay. We had a large room and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best I've had at a hotel. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely room. Listed building and high ceilings so a little chilly at times. Bed very comfortable. Slept very well. Had dinner downstairs. Service excellent and enjoyed our meal. Breakfast was alsovery good.

The staff bent over backwards to help resolve a difficult situation involving a friend bringing me down to Cranbrook from Lincolnshire to convalesce after a full knee replacement operation. Their flexibility & understanding turned this into a relatively simple procedure. Thank you SallyAnn, you were amazing!

Not worth the price.In need of decorating all round.Staff late opening up for breakfast.Asked for pot of tea and it took 3 attempts as first 2 luke warm from an urn that had not got upto temperature as late opening up!! Theres better places to stay for cheaper.

Love the George,only show in Town and got a good rate which with a great English breakfast included made it great value. It’s a really old building and a pub thus full of character and charm but don’t expect modern,state of art.Crooked walls,uneven floors,creaky boards and carpets a bit tired . Set in the Weald of Kent which is beautiful country and Cranbrook a typical village

Hotel room comfortable with both kettle and coffee maker. Breakfast was good, but dinner could have been better. The burger was over cooked and the fish pie too dry. The scallop starter was not good value.
