This was a short break. The hotel is well situated close to the seafront. Parking is on street but lots available around. Friendly staff. All that we needed.

We paid £166 for a room that was basically unfit for purpose.You had to access it via a staircase that was dangerous as it slanted to one side.The floor in the room was also slanted and furniture had to be cut off to make it look level.The slanting floor made me feel ill and I felt unsafe when going to the toilet at night .The lampshades were stained and although we had an Aircon unit there was nothing to control it with.Parking was advertised but when we arrived we were told it was street parking if available .As there was none we had to use the multi storey at a cost of £15.The receptionist was rude and unhelpful and the lift did not accommodate a wheelchair for my disabled mother in law.All in all the whole experience was terrible and definitely did not warrant the £166 paid

I would not recommend this hotel. At present, the restaurant is only available for breakfast, the bar is small and with limited stock and there is no dedicated parking. When I tried to draw a bath in my room, the hot water was little more than a trickle and it took over 20 minutes to fill the bath. The TV in my room was about the size of a computer monitor and mounted too far from the bed to be watchable. Although the room was clean and the reception staff were helpful, I found the hotel showed its age and would only rate it adequate and not good value for the prices charged.

The hotel is old and must have been grand once. It’s quirky due to age as you can expect. I could smell dog when I went into the reception. There is no parking. The rooms were ok, the bathroom was squashed and was really old and tired. there was a previous guests dirty sock under our bed. The games room was shut, breakfast was good.

Booked last minute, found check in very easy and the layout of the hotel was good. Its in the perfect location for Worthing Pier and facilities. We came on a motorbike so managed to park in a bay right outside the hotel, if we were in a car it maybe of been a little more difficult to find the parking. The mattress on the bed was soft, there were tea making facilities, and on suite bath/shower. The only disappointing thing was the TV was tiny and on a bracket where it was facing downwards! so couldn't be watched.

Parking is a little difficult. There are spaces on the square but limited and need to be paid for until 6pm. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. No curfew so you can come and go as you please. Room was clean and well presented. View wasn’t great but that can’t be helped. Lift is a little small and only one was working.

On arrival the was cleaning detergent on the floor by our room door. Lift not working so we had to use stairs to 3rd floor. Went to the bar and no-one was serving so we walked out.

Grand old hotel over looking a lovely park. But beware if you stay at the back. Worthing bus garage cracks on till 01:30, and first bus is 05:00. Breakfast was pleasant, but no evening food available.

We stayed in an economy twin room, for one night, which was very clean and in a quiet location towards the back of the hotel. We were not bothered by noise from the bus station. The shower had a strong flow and quickly ran hot, which is always a plus. The full breakfast was included in our room rate and was good including local sausages. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. For us the hotel had a bit more character and quirkiness than some of the bland chain hotels. We enjoyed our stay.

Our family had a delightful stay last night at Chatsworth Hotel. Eva was wonderful in settling us in and assisting us with storing our 5 bikes safely. A beautifully maintained and clean hotel room with a lovely view of Worthing Pier. A convenient position near the seafront and easy access to the town centre.

The staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel was clean and tidy. However it’s showing its age and could do with some TLC. I appreciate that in the current market that’s probably not on the cards. We were told there was a complimentary continental breakfast. This consisted of some budget prepacked croissant and pan au chocolates, jams, filter coffee, fruit and yogurt. No meats bread or cereals. Ok for the price if there was is nowhere else to stay.

Family weekend in Worthing. Two rooms booked in the same name but floors apart. Extremely tired decor. Mould in the bathrooms and blood stained towel. Poorly stocked bar. I couldn’t see out of my window because of the dirt. Finally the cost of £170 per room per night is completely unacceptable. Shame on you Hotels. com for listing this shambles.

The beds wre uncomfortable pillows were cheap, flat and very uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small, the sink was too big for the room and the tap dripped. There was a lot of black mildew all around the bath and on the shelf. It had been there for a very long time. The toilet seat was cracked and it was marked around the toilet fittings. There were no nice toiletries and we thought the tea, coffe and biscuit choices were very limited. We had looked forward to this weekend for a long time, it was a weekend for my daughter's 40th birthday. I have been to Worthing so many times and saw this hotel and kept saying i wanted to stay here one day. So disappointed, the room in our opinion was overpriced and in need of redecorating and up dating.We would not book to stay again.

The room arranged to us has a noticeably steep slope in its structure, which made it feel really disorienting. The exhaust fan was incredibly loud and vibrated a lot. Using the bathroom felt like being on a boat. As soon as we stepped into the room, we felt dizzy, and the feeling lasted the whole night. We chose to stay out and returned to the room at late night. It was an uncomfortable stay overall. Perhaps, other single rooms are better which we didn’t know. BTW, the service of the restaurant is good.

It was a lovely room right over the beach which was great but I would have expected a little more luxury for the price. However, acknowledge that it was right along the beach. Decor is a little tired and the shower was difficult due to how it was positioned but generally really enjoyed the location and the stay. The bed was very comfortable and the overall building is fascinating and full of character.

I'm afraid this property is very dated none of the floors are level, they are all slanted due to the age of the building. The rooms are extremely dated, the bathroom are from the 1960s. Our bed was on an angled floor, meaning are feet were higher than our heads. The hotel needs extensive renovation and the price is too high for what we paid for.

The hotel is dated but fairly clean. The room had a great view but the TV didn’t work, only 2 out of 4 windows opened. And there was no mention of the walk up and down stairs on uneven floors to get to your room.m, not ideal for those with disabilities.

Great location in town on Marine Parade and side of gardens. . General decor tired and dated with very old bathroom and poor shower attachment over the bath. We overlooked bus garage at the back, and it was very noisy. Buses were coming in and bleepers going as they lined up until past 1 am and then drivers were shouting across the yard at each other. Noise started again about 5.30 am.

The Chatsworth is a dated hotel, though it is clean it is quite tired. I booked morning breakfast at the front desk on my arrival and was then challenged several times if i had or not paid for this I then had to wait until this had been clarified only to find that lo, then go through it all again following day as the same thing happened .

A very comfortable and enjoyable 3 nights stay at the Chatsworth. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic location for both beach and town centre. Very good value, would definitely stay again.

Business trip for one night. Room was comfortable, breakfast was great. However, the best part was when I desperately needed to work and print some documents ready for a presentation, I was having a terrible time getting everything to work. Member of staff on duty Patricia looked after me amazingly, coffee, helped me find cable etc....above and beyond, excellent service, thank you Patricia for turning a bad day into a better one !

Breakfast prepackaged pastry and some yoghurt and a couple oranges and apples. Windows really old hard to open and shut room next to where the buses park so got no sleep till 2 when they were all docked and woken at 5 when they started again. Fixtures broken plumbing ran. Made an online complaint not even addressed at checkout.

Whenever we are going to Worthing we always try to stay at the Chatsworth Hotel. We like it's location being near to the pier bus station and cinema. Some say it is a old fashion hotel but we like it that way.

Ideal location if you are walking. Near all major stores and metres from the sea and pier. Cheaper rooms are at the back and overlooking bus depot, although not too noisy. TV didn't work, but I didn't use it and I reported it on check-out.

The staff were approachable and friendly upon arrival. Entering the room, it was clean, tidy and organised. The matress was a little soft for my liking, but still comfortable to get a good, restful night's sleep. The morning's breakfast staff could have been a little more attentive, but was greeted with a smile and cheeriness for half past 8 in the morning. Along with an evacuation due to a fire alarm, which so we were told was someone burning some toast, didn't increase my levels of appreciation for an early hour. However, the food was great and set me up for the long day ahead. Pricing is competetive, even if a little more than would be expected. Though, time of year and last minute booking would also account for this. Location is excellent. Across the road from a fairly large park, and the seafront. Close to town, too, which has transport links along the coast. Even with being on a pretty busy road during the day and with events on in the town, it is still quite quiet and peaceful. Lovely place and good staff made it a welcoming experience.

A very comfortable and enjoyable 3 nights stay at the Chatsworth. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic location for both beach and town centre. Very good value, would definitely stay again.
