TownePlace Suites Miami Lakes

My ratings is because the whole Hotel was under remodeling process but no info on the website at the moment of the Booking. no info outside indicating where was the lobby etc. but overall the room was clean and having a kitchen in the room is very nice and useful.

First book they didn’t say the hotel was in a remodel. They didn’t have nothing for breakfast bagel cereal without milk no ice machine

Place was nice. Was on first floor so not as quiet as I would like. Didn’t use pool but looked nice. Breakfast was good. Overall I would stay here again when visiting. Close to highway and centrally located. Rooms have full kitchens and comfortable beds.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Each staff member I encountered was very polite. The facilities were mostly clean did not seem outdated. The only knock is that with it being a pet friendly hotel there were alot of dogs out and about and the hallways had a very strong kennel like smell. I understand that could be a normal thing for pet friendly hotels but it definitely caught me off guard.

The staff was great help me with questions I had about getting dinner and with the computer system on site

Came from Sarasota to Miami and once we arrived around 11pm there a couple groups of young adults just sitting on their truck or standing around with their car on listening to music talking drinking and smoking, when we try to find parking a couple of them just stared like we don’t belong here and made us uncomfortable. It’s really unfortunate because I’ve stayed at other TownePlace suites and have had a great experience yet felt very uncomfortable. I thank the manager at the location and my Expedia rep for talking and providing me a refund, I was able to find somewhere luckily that helped me have a good nights rest.

The stay was excellent. Two slight negatives: 1. The carpets in the hallways smell bad. 2. The breakfast hall is very small for the capacity.

Bathroom shower taps leaking constantly that it was a night time sleep nightmare. Pool didn’t get cleaned. Had to give my room number to get a bottle opener for a suite with full kitchen!!. The carpets are possibly 2 generations old. Not sure how Corporate Marriott even allow this hotel to operate under its brand!!! Get this updated or stop selling under Marriott.

The property had no hot water, terribly worn out carpets, smelly rooms and terrible housekeeping services

Front desk crew was honestly amazing and kind. Both the man that checked us in and the woman that checked us out. However the building itself was old, worn down, dirty, it smells Ike mold, the carpet was filthy that man sons feet turned black with dir, the kitchen was sticky, it was just nasty all around, the smell gave me a massive headache .. would not recommend

House keeping only stop by once in our 5 day stay.

Worst experience i have ever had at any Marriott property. There were roaches in the room, rooms were old and smelled dirty and stale. Staff was not helpful and they did not thoroughly clean the room upon check-in nor during our stay even though we requested it.

Location was good but the rooms are old and had a damp musty smell. Tub was patched up and carpet torn.

Room has bad smell and breakfast counter finish very quickly.

I have stayed at this location and my past experiences have been pretty good. However i have noticed that the condition of the rooms have deteriorated after each stay. This last stay was the worst, upon entering the room you can smell a strong odor of what seemed to be wet carpet. The shelves in the kitchen cabinets are swelling and the bathroom shower door was hard to close. The manager for this place needs to be held accountable. Few people have pride anymore, I personally would check the condition of my rooms every so often to ensure guest have a pleasurable stay. I will not be staying at this location again.

I was not pleased at all with this hotel. For $215 a night, it should have been cleaner. We had to do some cleaning ourselves and open a window because it smelled bad in there. Not only that, I booked two two-bedroom suites a month in advance just for them to tell me the day before check-in that they may not have the room I booked. Then charged my card without notice before I ever even checked in. Breakfast was trash. Idk how you mess up a continental breakfast but they did. They need to clean up, from the front door to the rooms. I had a damn dead bug stuck to a towel. 10/10 do not recommend. Wish I could get my money back.

Rundown, outdated, dishwasher falling out of the wall, air conditioner made loud banging noises all night, toilet wouldn’t stop running. Expected a Marriott experience, extremely disappointed.

We liked the area. However, we travel with a small pet at all times and found the room smelled moldy, the bath tub faucets had water running from it and the carpet when walked on barefoot (quickly) felt moist. Not an ideal room—spent the large part of our vacation out of our room—just sleep and oh! The bed way too soft. Overall, not an ideal situation for the prices charged for the week.

I liked the size of the rooms very spacious . The tub scared me there was a a dent like the tub was sealed after it broke made me feel as if they did a quick fix but any one can fell while showering very uncomfortable.

This hotel was very noisy The first nights stay thdre was something bumping above us every few minutes. The second nights stay there was a buzzing noise all night within the room. The floor in the bathroom was dirty. There was a puddle of water on the kitchen floor. I will never stay there again.

Nice hotel with super friendly staff, great parking and comfortable room with useful kitchen BUT the toilet tank leaked on the bathroom floor and we had to leave towels underneath the leak or the bathroom floor would have water all over. The tub drain did not work well and the tub filled up while showering then took 20 minutes to empty. The pitch of the tub around the drain was such that beach sand remained in the tub. Some light bulbs went off and on at random. One night table drawer would not stay closed and always pitched halfway open. There is very little shelf space. There is nowhere to put dishes after you wash them. Couldn't access YouTubeTV on the television. If you like to sleep in be prepared to receive less housekeeping and need to go to the front desk for towels and toilet paper. Be careful if you request high speed vs regular wifi you be surprised by extra charges. And in general the room is kind of raggedy with lots of little pieces of delayed maintenance.

Kimberly at the front desk was excellent. Room was roomy and okay. However, kitchen sink backed up the entire time, shower could not be adjusted ie it shot water to the back of the bath and could not be adjusted otherwise, the AC/Heater malfunctioned and the reception area could do with a little modernisation.

I have visited that same location on numerous occasions and this time i literally was standing in water while taking a shower, the toilet wouldn’t go down and I requested a plunger and didn’t receive one, the dishwasher didn’t work and the room had a stale smell. The front desk worker Kimberly was helpful but I expressed my concerns to the assistant manager and she stated that she would need to speak with Kimberly I asked was she the general manager and she stated no that she was a regular front desk so I stated since you are the assistant why would I have a to wait for you to speak with Kimberly to fix the solution. She then proceeded to give me 5,000 rewards but I still feel that was nothing being that we paid for 2 nights and had to endure deplorable environment. Again Kimberly was very helpful with what she was able to do to assist my stay.

Ac was not working had to sleep in heat. No one offered to change my room. All tv was not working it stays on for 3 minutes then goes completely off. Sent staff to fix but no one woke speaks English. Offered to refund me but everytime I question about my refund no one knows anything

The hotel was not what they advertised for being too quality they were advertising when we got there we waited more than 4 hours to get a room they put an inexperienced staff member we wated a whole half a day before we were able to get our room and when we walked inside our room it smelled like cigarettes and cologne it was a nightmare!!!

We arrived to the hotel at 6 PM, three hours after check in. Rooms were not ready. There was one person at the front desk who could not register other guests and would not call a manager. She indicated she was not a manager. When we contacted Expedia for a refund, they contacted the hotel who lied to Expedia and said the room was ready. I will be contacting my bank for a refund.

May need some updating but it was clean and quiet

Don't pay attention to the Google reviews, this hotel is just fine for a short stay. It isn't luxurious, but its solid and for the Miami area it's a great value. For the relative price in this area you could do a lot worse.

A littel more option in breakfast

I liked the staff they were great and very communicative, but the floors in the room and bed felt moist, damp I didn’t like it. I had to keep my slippers on throughout my stay just being in the room alone. I wish they would upgrade the rooms for people to be paying $150.00 a night because it isn’t worth it at all! The breakfast bar was cool but milk was definitely spoiled and they had it in the fridge. Also, oatmeal had no taste. Overall rating for this place a 2.

Before arriving at Miami I had another level of expectation about Towne Place by Marriot, Why? Because of the daily rate is higher in comparison with the level of service First, I assumed the room cleanliness service would be everyday, after the first night this service did not do, being said that, during the 2nd day this service was done with towels change and for the rest nothing happened, overall the cleanliness was not good On the other hand, the level of breakfast is the WORST, no brown bread, no fruits, no yoghurt, the coffee does not taste like anything Regarding the people who work there have had an excellent behavior being candid, respectful and available at all time for the passenger
