Although this was the least expensive property in GCV, it was perfect for my overnight stay. It’s much less crowded than the main village area yet easy walking distance to the Rim and also the dining court. Free EV charging at the other lodges available via a short walk. Perfect location.

The property is great, but we came in after sunset , so it was pitch black. It was nearly impossible to find the building we were in. It is a dark sky park, but some lighting to indicate where that pathways or building numbers in relation to the check in lobby would help a lot. Otherwise the staff and the rooms were great.

We stayed at the Maswik Lodge for 2 nights in March. The first day we were there, it snowed, and we could barely see the Grand Canyon. The Canyon and Bright Angel trailhead were just a 5 minute walk from our room. The Lodge was clean and convenient. Dining options at the food court were convenient, but definitely not fine dining by any means. I would love to see them upgrade their food quality. More lighting outdoors would also be great, as the walk from our room to the main building was rather dark. Overall, we loved it there and would definitely stay at the Maswik again!

Great location to trails and shuttles. Quiet Having registration, shop and food service in one building was efficiently operated. Pride taken in dining area. Food was good.Nice to smell pine trees.

This is a hotel inside the park with easy acess to the park transportation service and a short drive to visitor center. The hotel divided into 8-10 separate buildings, most of them a pretty old just like the one I stayed in and there are a few new ones which is worth asking to stay on. The older buldings are from the 80-90, although well maintened the look and feel is not good, dated carpets, old bathroom. There isn´t a restaurant but a food court that servers typical american food and has different options for most tastes.

This is a bit plain and simple but clean and adequate accommodation right inside the Grand Canyon National Park. With a forest view from your bed, the rim is about a 5 min walk from the 2 storied buildings which house the rooms. No lifts but mobility parking and ground floor rooms available. Seated dining and basic grocery items available, and gift shop, in the common areas just a few metres from the rooms. Multiple activities on offer, hiking, bike trails and for $$$, scheduled ranger talks, guided bus tours, and guided walking tours. I dont believe its kind or ethical to ride the poor donkeys down to the floor of the canyon, you could get a helicopter if your budget permits.

We stayed three nights and nobody came to empty the garbage, clean the room or refill the coffee or toilet papers. For $300 the night, someone would expect better service. The rooms were also old and would need renovations

We stayed at Maswik Lodge for 2 nights as part of a longer family vacation. The room was fairly clean but there was old food left in the refrigerator and the shelf above the dresser was very dusty. The bathroom was very clean. The food selection was much better than I expected based upon my online research before booking. Wild elk freely roam the grounds and my kids loved that they had breakfast a few feet from our porch. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is the real reason to stay here as you’re a few minutes walk from the rim of the canyon - the hotel is fine - safe quiet and clean - for the price it does not equal in quality what one would expect in a city or resort town - there are no amenities and WiFi hardly works while we were there noTV but I think the location is worth it and the hotel and dining is adequate - lastly the staff are lovely and helpful

The lodge was very convenient and the room was clean, overall it is a good place to stay for the price. The negative is that the WiFi is terrible. We moved rooms because they had issues with the WiFi in the building were staying but the next day WiFi was out in the whole village. I would expect more from this huge facility.

You must’ve been here in the off-season. They were doing a lot of construction on some of the other units which is understandable, upgrades do need to be done. The rooms were a little bit dated but the beds and the pillows were soft and uncomfortable. The lighting in the rooms could use an update. The food of the food court was good and reasonably priced. Walls seem to be a little thin you could hear a noise from the other occupants all night.

Fantastic location in the park. Our room was perfect. Clean and spacious. It is a very close walk to the GC as well as the red and blue (free) bus stops for the Village (blue) and GC (red). Food choices however are horrible. Food court at Maswik is food service cafeteria quality with high prices. Very disappointed. Find somewhere else that may be a little better.

The rooms by the side of the building are terrible for noise; you hear people constantly coming in and out. You can hear people coming down the stairwells. Stay away from the rooms closest to the exits.

Staff were all friendly & helpful. We arrived a day earlier than expected & they made sure we were given a room that we would not have to move after the first night. Not only that, but the room we were given was an upgrade! The staff all went out of their way to make sure we had a positive experience.

They should change their staff, all of it, terrible experience. It seems they work because they have to, not because they enjoy what they are doing. I didnt feel welcome nor appreciated. Staff hardly say hello, difficult for them to come with a solution when needed. Lovely place but with that service i would hardly ever return to that hotel.

We booked through Expedia. Unfortunately the hotel didn’t have our room ready at 4 as they advertised. They made us wait TWO hours ! Didn’t get the key until after 6pm because the rooms weren’t ready. Maybe they had several staff call in sick ? There was no explanation. But it caused us not to have a place to shower and change for dinner reservations at El Tovar after a day of sweaty hiking. This was a special dinner planned months in advance. The hotel messed us up. Expedia offered us a $50 credit. But this doesn’t make up for us having to get fast food take out vs a sit down dinner in a historic lodge we traveled from the other side of the country to experience. Really feel shafted.

The hotel is well-maintained and looks exactly as pictured! It has good infrastructure and is well-located, offering excellent value. The hotel is brand new, the rooms are updated, and the service is excellent! A 10-minute walk will take you to the Grand Canyon. It's the best area to stay for those looking to explore the region.

This hotel is in the Grand Canyon property, and for a national park lodge, it’s very nice. There was an outdoor seating area to view wildlife and see the stars. We needed an extra cot and it was quickly furnished. You can’t beat the location- walk outside your room, take a left, and the majesty of the Grand Canyon is just steps away! Would stay there again if we visited the Grand Canyon again.

Brilliant location right by the Grand Canyon! Maswik Lodge is perfectly placed – just a short walk to the rim, with a free shuttle bus right outside the rooms. It makes getting around so easy. The lodge is surrounded by nature, quiet and peaceful, which makes it ideal for anyone who loves the outdoors. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and being so close to the Canyon more than makes up for it. I’d 100% stay here again and definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon!

This truly is lodging only, as far as I'm concerned. If you're not interested in a culinary experience and you're literally only in need of a place to sleep while visiting Grand Canyon on a budget, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a nice hotel with restaurant options... steer clear. This is lodging with a cafeteria and nothing more. I guess I didn't understand that going in. If I had, I would have paid (a lot) more to stay at El Tovar or Angel Bright. That said, staying anywhere in this general area (inside the park or not), the scenery will be beautiful, but the food.... not so much.

Food has a lot to be desired. Overall the food was not very appealing. Dry bread for sandwiches, and hot dog, fruit was old, pancakes were cold, not a lot of healthy choices, flies were abundant. Beds were very comfortable, internet access was great. Loved the shuttle bus drivers. Staff at the hotel was great.

Beautiful setting inside the park. Walking distance to the South Rim trails. Quiet room and very comfortable bed. Food court onsite with plenty of selections, but nothing too fancy. Most of the hot items were lukewarm. Adult beverages not allowed outside of the dining area.

Once the three of us arrived, we did not need to drive. The lodge had free shuttles as well as the Park Service. 5 min walk to Bright Angel Trailhead. Cafeteria and pub are both at the lodge. One pizza fed the three of us. Prices are about 25% higher then Phoenix due to the remoteness. Remember to bring snacks, drinks, a hat, flashlight, and sunscreen for hiking and riding on the shuttles. The Canyon rim is 7000ft with blue skies, making it easy to get sunburned. A sweater is needed since the temperature drops to the 40s during July, at night. Relax & have fun 👍.

Clean and comfortable rooms. It took a while for our room to be ready, but there is plenty to do while you wait. Other than that, check in was quick and easy. I would recommend this property. The only negative thing was the pizza at the in-house restaurant. I have always said that I have never met a pizza that I didn't like. Well, I met one here.
