Being able to stay in the Canyon was absolutely amazing. It states it in the description, but check in is at the Bright Angel Lodge which is down the one way street from Thunderbird. If you can park closer to Thunderbird and walk to check in, that may be easier. If you arrive in the early evening, there will likely be

We stayed in two different rooms at The Thunderbird Lodge. The first was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice and strong. The second was not quite clean, and the lock on the door didn’t work, so we piled our luggage in front of the door before going to sleep. The best part, however, was that the hotel was right on the rim of the Grand Canyon- truly breathtaking.

Had to check in at hotel next to Thunderbird and parking was not easy as it was 1st come 1st serve. Views were amazing. Food at El Tovar was excellent! Rooms were rustic but clean and nice. Would stay there again.

The room was nice. It was old but expected. The fixtures were dated. The staff was terrific the location unbelievable. I’d stay there again.
