Personalen i receptionen var ganska sura och otrevliga. Rummet hade varit trevligt om golvet borstades av någon gång under veckan - det blev smutsigt på golv och bord. Inget att torka med själv. Kylen var möglig, Koppar på rummet var odiskade och smutsiga när vi kom. Inga glas diskades under veckan. Smutsiga möbler. Strips på botten av poolen. Allmänt ofrächt och slitet

It's a bit basic and a bit tired, but fine for a few days. Don't try to relax on a Thursday near the pool, that's when they do maintenance and prepare dinner there. My room was big and clean. Breakfast is basic but good enough

The view was wonderful, the hotel lift small and slow, the breakfast warm counter too one-sided

o hotel tem uma boa localização, mas tivemos problemas com a agua que estava sempre fria quando muito morna, no 1º dia o quarto tinha um cheiro desagradável, atendentes da recepção falta simpátia, tem um bom café da manhã, bar da piscina abre tarde as 10:30. Nunca conseguiamos vaga para estacionar o carro, colocamos na rua e fomos multados. Camas excellentes quarto espaçoso com ótima vista.

1 of the elevators was down and its clear this is an older hotel. Seems like they try to upcharge you for everything. I stayed at a 3 star hotel that was nicer than this one on Madeira. This is not a 4 star hotel.

It is very well located with a lot of dining shopping options within walking distance… if you don’t mind walking up and down hills. Parking on site is very limited and parking on the street is also limited, but doable. The appearance of the hotel is older, but it’s well maintained. Comfortable beds. What I enjoy the most was the buffet breakfast: great options and delicious. I also liked the pool and shaded patio area

Total scam. I booked here cause of the 4 star rating, the spa and the great reviews. A pool, balconies in every room, and the location seemed perfect. We arrived at 2am because of a delayed flight. The staff present at check in was nice. Our room wasn’t very clean, but it’s so dated it’s hard to tell. The beds are uncomfortable. It was non refundable and expensive. (Some nights were 180€). We immediately found a filthy coffee cup in the cabinet with old moldy trash in it. Looked like a nest to be honest. There isn’t actually coffee either. A dead cockroach the size of my thumb on the floor. And the bathroom surfaces smeared with a dirty rag. The blackout curtains ripped and tattered. Hard concrete bed and a stained sheet. A balcony facing a dirt patch and a parking lot. We asked to be moved and the reception was kind and agreeable. But, our only other option was almost as bad, much smaller, but on a higher floor therefore it had a better view. Although a fire escape staircase is there too. The bidet has no pressure and useless. The hot water will go cold and then burn you. Two twins pushed together are uncomfortable. Only one bedside table. Ripped blackout curtains. No coffee setup at all. We asked for coffee cups and a kettle and bought our own instant coffee, but they never replaced cups. The pool is nice but freezing,and the pool bar was never open. the bar next door called the Tipsy was awesome with a really nice bartender. We didn’t bother with the food or the spa.

Difficile de garer la voiture chaque soir. Parking trop petit vu la taille de l’hôtel. Personnel quelconque peu avenant mais chambre très spacieuse, propre, balcons avec vue !

The property needs to be updated. Very old and outdated. The parking is terrible.

Everything was good as i stayed there a few times over the years, but my only complaint is the swimming pool, as i used to work as a life guard years ago at the madeira regency club, the pool looks like theres not much care for. It is all yellow at the bottom around the corners and also around the top of the swimming pool.

Lovely hotel in excellent location. Very friendly and proficient staff. Very good value. Views over the Lido area of Funchal and the Atlantic amazing. Room spotlessly clean although a little dated. Could have done with a kettle.

The floor our room was on smelled like acetone. The floors in the room were dirty and we discovered a roach in our bed the next day.

Ich würde gerne was positives sagen…. Leider war alles anders als ich mir erhofft habe…. Die Rezeption war sehr desinteressiert und nicht wirklich nett und kompetent, leider. Ich habe höflich angemerkt dass unsauber ist und nach Schimmel riecht, man versprach es gründlich zu reinigen aber nichts ist passiert. Das Badezimmer roch modrig und nach Urin , deswegen müsste wir am schon am 3.8.25 Auschecken und wo anders unterkommen ( es war nicht auszuhalten)

The cleaning standards are pretty bad. I found ants in the first night.

Não vi necessidade da pia, talvez para lavar roupa, uma vez que, não tem um prato e nenhum talher, tampouco um microondas. Para o uso do cofre é necessário pagamento de uma taxa diária, desnecessária essa taxa. Limpeza feita diariamente, mas de forma bem porca, não repõem o sabonete barato que dispõem, minguadamente no primeiro dia. Café da manhã é bom. Recepção sem muito carisma e atenção ao hóspede.

Not a good cleaning

I am sorry to say, but it was not a good experience. Good location and positive, friendly staff was not even close to compensate appaling room and bathroom. Entering the room i was hit by a heavy disinfectant/cleaning solution smell, that took couple hours of open windows to get rid off. The smell of damp from the bathroom could not be fixed though. Apart from the smell, bathroom was simply dirty, most surfaces showing smudges, and dust and hair in the more difficult to reach corners. Everything seemed a bit sticky and old, showing different states of ware. Breakfast, included in the price was mostly tasteless, and thank god for cold cuts that left something edible on the menu. Again, it is a shame, as even though it’s an old hotel, common areas seemed well maintained, staff was approachable and helpful, and the location suited me very well (easy to get from the airport, close to activities , restaurants, etc.).

Avevo prenotato in una struttura del gruppo Pestana … Expedia mi ha proposto questa struttura … albergo in pessime condizioni… 4 stelle cadute ..La stanza è umida e puzza di muffa… la porta non chiude correttamente e lascia spiragli … la vasca è logora con parti arrugginite … il pranzo è stato servito all’ aperto nonostante la pioggia il vento e il freddo … nonostante le mie rimostranze non mi hanno proposto una sistemazione migliore

Et helt ok hotell. Det bar dog preg av å være litt gammelt og slitt. Sengene var gode og rommet stort og fint. Badet var lite. Dusjen ( i badekar) var trang og dusjforhenget litt gammelt og ekkelt.

Well located approx 1 mile stroll from Funchal centre . The area has plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The lido and sea access are 100 yards away. Hotel Pool was fab a great spot to unwind . The room was great, luckily we had a sea view too and we were given complimentary wine and fruit which was a very notable and welcomed bonus. Special mention to Vanessa at reception , what a great girl. Thanks Muthu Raga we loved our stay.

Hôtel proche des commodités et de l’océan. Chambre spacieuse et propre. Personnel très agréable. Un petit coup de neuf serait le bienvenue et manque d’isolation phonique.

Depois de chegar estivemos mais de uma hora à espera para fazer check- in. Infelizmente estavam uns clientes demasiado "chatos" que não deixavam a recepcionista atender outras pessoas. Estava com pena da pequena Vanessa, foi extremamente prestável com essas pessoas mas a fila de outros clientes fazia-se sentir. Outros já a reclamar. Não notei qualquer ajuda de superiores para a conseguirem atenuar esta situação. Mais de uma hora depois chegou a nossa vez de fazer check-in. A VANESSA super agradável e sempre com um sorriso. Eu não teria tido a paciência dela com os clientes anteriores. Parabéns pelo profissionalismo dela. Chegando ao quarto nota-se que está envelhecido, muito sujo, os cortinados parece que não são lavados à alguns anos. Grelhas de ar condicionado com bastante pó. Torneiras velhas e sujas. Manutenção mais aprofundada será necessária. Pequeno almoço no primeiro dia como fomos cedo tivemos alguma variedade, no segundo dia fomos mais tarde já se notava falta de reposição de alimentos quase notei que estávamos a comer os restos dos outros.

The staff is not friendly. They will not answer the phone when you dial 9. You have to come down to talk to them. The bathroom had a weird small that never could be addressed. If you have any issues with A/C, there is no one to attend to it after 5:00 P.M. No drinking water in the room. I am used to hotels providing a jug of water in every room that is unheard of here. Bring you own toiletries. I had to rush and buy shampoo and conditioner. Pros: Good breakfast options. Very close to the park where you can enjoy the ocean. Lots of restaurants near by. Very centrally located.

The lady who checked me in, and who helped answer some questions later, was an absolute delight and was funny as hell. I knew that if I spoke with her

Good location with plenty of restaurants in the area. Good choice of options for breakfast and staff helpful when one of us was gluten intolerant providing gluten free bread for breakfast and other options. Excellent value for money.

This hotel was meh. The staff are not friendly and the accommodation are tolerable. Location is good. I would look else where nearby.

En este hotel me sucedió algo increíble: Sin mi autorización, el hotel decidió MOVER MIS PERTENENCIAS DESDE UNA HABITACION HASTA OTRA HABITACION, y eso que me llamaron para avisarme, les dije que NO los autorizaba y que estaba cerca del hotel y Yo mismo movería mis cosas, y a los pocos minutos de esa llamada llegué al hotel y me habían movido mis pertenencias y mi equipaje (que estaba abierto) a otra habitación .... UNA TOTAL FALTA DE RESPETO, DESCORTESIA Y ALGO QUE ES DENUNCIABLE ANTE LA LEY ... NUNCA SE HOSPEDEN EN ESTE HOTEL, ESTAN A RIESGO DE QUE ENTREN EN SU HABITACION Y MUEVAN SUS PERTENENCIAS SIN AVISO.

Very clean hotel. Nice and quiet at night with great amenities. Also had a super view and staff were very helpful.

Quarto confortável e com uma vista ótima e um atendimento muito atencioso. Como o voo não permitia termos o pequeno almoço no hotel, disponibilizaram uns sacos com bastante comida, só falharam no facto de pedirem para escolher a opção pretendida e veio tudo igual, sem as nossas escolhas. Dificuldade em ter lugar para estacionar no hotel e nas redondezas. Pequeno almoço com alguma escolha, mas pouca fruta fresca. Hotel bem localizado e recomenda-se em custo vs benefício.

Price worth hotel with a good location

Very good hotel with perfect food.

Quite surprised and disappointed with the limitations of this hotel, considering it marks itself as a 4*, you have only buffet style meals available, at a high price for the quality, minimal food available in the hotel through the day, even packet coffee and tea for the room is additional cost!! I’ve worked and stayed in many 4* hotels and never heard of this!!
