Staff was very friendly but the hotel itself needs a lot of renovation. Upon check-in we got to the hotel around 10:00. We knew that check-in is at 4:00 but we were able to change at the lounge and start our vacation. We gave them my phone number so that they could call us once our room was ready. In several occasions I went to the front desk to check up on the availability of our room and still it was not ready. At 5:30 we decided to go back and check as we have dinner reservations at 7:30 and the lady said oh your room has been ready since 3:30 and apparently the person who was supposed to call said they didn’t have time to call. When we got to our room, it looked clean but was missing the welcome package that the cove gives their guests, the door frame looked like someone tried to break in previously because it was all cracked, the mini fridge was not even the one that was fit for the space, on the box spring of the bed, it was stained (Yuck). The slides and pools need major renovation. Diamond brite is peeling off of the floor of the pools, my son got badly scratched on his back due to the uneven slides. We understand that the Cove hotel and pool area are under renovation but you cannot let it go to waste either especially if guests are still paying top dollars to stay there.

The room was clean and very spacious. The staff went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed from the time we entered the Cove and throughout the property, the staff was excellent. They were very accommodating. The drinking water at the lobby was exceptionally delicious and refreshing. However, the tap water throughout the property had a nasty taste and smell. Water is very expensive at $10 a bottle because it has to be imported. Overall, I loved this place. It’s very peaceful, serene, beautiful, the staff is very friendly.
